do not have embroidery done here, terrible work, and they must be blind or dumb, they put out hideous work for me. i the manager is a tool and cares null for the customer, absolutely no respect, i left the hat and walked out 35 $ poorer. hate that place. never will go there again. buy much cheaper and better quality on internet believe or not. i’m not the only one complaining. run away.

Can I give something lower than a 1 star to bring back the old management? I have always gone to LIDS in Concord. It was always my go to stop as I thought the management was very knowledgeable, and the staff was friendly. Or at least it all used to be. I decided to make a Unilocal account all because I wanted to leave a review for this location. So I actually live a lot closer to the LIDS in Antioch, but it’s literally a stand in a dead mall(not much choices), so Concord LIDS would always be the place I hit up to get my hats, and to get them embroidered. But this store is completely different now. I believe it’s because of the change in management. For the past couple of years, it’s always been pretty cool. I know the last manager was a dude, and I never had a problem with him. I went there, got hooked up with my size, and my stitching was always done right. But my girl and I have recently had nothing but issues and bad customer service with this store. It just seems as if the staff doesn’t really know about what they’re selling, and my last embroideries from them have been nothing but awful. Slanted stitching, and they don’t clean it up like they used to. I feel as though the current manager(pretty sure it’s a new girl because I haven’t seen the old manager dude in a while) is just working in the wrong type of store. Not very knowledgeable, and thinks she knows everything. Won’t bother trying to ask questions. Bring back the old manager who knew about hats, and made sure I was taken care of. Just a disappointment in this store. Was a loyal customer, but won’t be back to this location again.

4* rating from me and that’s not because I HATE Hatclub, but because not once have I ever had a problem here in person nor when I order online and have my items delivered here. Could have easily been a 5* but there was one time I called looking for the Raiders 2015BCA hat and they didn’t have it in. That’s cool with me, but don tell me that you have the 49ers BCA hat in as if I want that. I’m no Ranker like bandwagoners in the Bay Area. I stay loyal to my team. Not once will I ever say I like both teams. Choose a side and be true or go root for an out of state team. I have read others reviews and while I do feel bad that the custom work on your hats came out down right putrid and you paid for it… sometimes times it best to keep the hat in its original quality and form. Sometimes makes for an easier re-sell if it ever comes to that. Anyways there have been plenty of times that ordered online and have picked up at the store. Never a problem. The one and only time there was an issue was when I was sent the wrong style hat from what I ordered. However when I brought it in for a return I wasn’t hassled at all. Michelle, the store manager Im guessing as she is always there, was cool about the return. Even though she asked if I wanted to browse around in case I might want something else it was just a mere suggestion, I didn’t take it as if she was trying to force me to get something else. I would say for the most part the employees are nice. I’m not quite sure what their knowledge is in regards to hats, but I don’t judge them on that but more how approachable they are if I need something from the top or if they are able to get what I want in another size. For the most part if not all the time I have never had a problem with any employee there. The selection is pretty good especially when it comes to standard colorways. If there is one thing that I do dislike about Lids, its the fact that they have all these ugly colorways and sometimes the hat is overkill. For example, a Raiders hat with the Raider logo on the Cali state. Cool, but then why do you have to go and overkill it with another Raider logo on the side of the hat. But that’s not the fault of the store but the Lids company as a whole for designing crap. Anyways, before I get off topic. I think this place is great. Most if not all the employees are chill and get you what you need. If for anytime in the future I feel the need to update this I will and give an update.

Hat World, Inc DBA Lids is not BBB Accredited. There are so many complaints against this business yet they’re still open and making money. 1. I have tried calling this store multiple times. As a business you should have a working number, I always get the busy signal. Highly unprofessional, I haven’t heard a busy tone in over a decade. 2. Purchased a Raiders hat, tried it on when I got home. I realized I didn’t like the fit or style. I wasn’t aware that there were so many different types of fits. Of course I tried it on many different ways, probably making it look worn. I went back into the store and spoke with personnel. They agreed to give me a refund, however I was treated so poorly. The store’s manager(Michelle) was argumentative, she did not deliver the kind of customer service you would expect from an accredited retailer. She was more concerned with being«right» and picking a fight. I do understand that I can not expect minimum wage workers to have the same level of maturity and education as the rest of the world. However, I am so upset I feel the need to write letters and Unilocal. This young lady needs to understand she is NOT the CEO, GM, or VP of Lids. She is a lower ranking employee and her job is to please the public. Long story short, there is a 30 day money back guarantee. For those who are not familiar with the many styles and fits, employees should educate customers. Build rapport, cross sell, do their job. This way people don’t leave confused and come back and be treated like they’ve done something wrong. To Conclude, if you’re looking for a cool hat. DONOTGOHERE.

Absolutely awful!!! My husband had a hat embroidered and it looked hideous! He went back the next day, and asked for it to be fixed/or a return, the lady said there was nothing wrong with it. His hat is ruined! Worst costumer service!

Staff was very helpful. They ordered a couple of Yankees hats for me in styles they don’t sell on the west coast. I was also able to get the in store discount. I belive Yesina was the employees name. Great customer service from her and the other young lady that was working.

Came to buy a few hats, talked me into getting an embroidery put on one of the new hats i purchased. The lady said it will be done in thirty minutes, so I came back in an hour giving her the benefit of the doubt, she said it wasn’t finished yet and will take another 30 minutes i said ok. Came back in thirty minutes still wasn’t done. She said she was cleaning it up to look nice and to give her another 30 minutes. I waited around and finally I asked to see what it looked like so far. It was sloppy and crooked and it looked nothing like it was suppose to. It was suppose to look like the golden gate bridge with a silhouette of the city in the background. Looked more like it was the aftermath of an earthquake. She then told me it was the machine, something broke on it. By then i didnt want to hear any excuses. I just ended up returning everything I bought. Wasted two hours of my time. She should of told me the first time I came back to pick it up that the machine was broke and gave me a refund on just that hat.

Don’t EVER ship to store. The website lied about shipping times and offered no customer service. they then switched their website shipping times low-key afterwards. sneaky and gross. I missed giving my brother a christmas gift because of this terrible business practice. the people working at the stores in the malls are equally as useless too.

Small and can get busy. Called in asking about a hat i KNEW they had and the girl who helped me right away said they didn’t have it. This was a lie because my friend had bought the hat I was asking about not even a week prior! I had to drive 25 min away to see for myself! Kristen does NOT know her products! She is useless if you ask me. As I got there she was doing some count as I was searching for another hat and not once did she offer help. The guy that was there was very helpful. I cannot recall his name but helped me with special ordering a hat and even made a few calls around some local lids to find my size. I know I’ll stop by here every time I come to this mall but it is sad when I have more knowledge about their products than the people that work there…

I came here to get some embroidery done on my Raider hat. $ 12 and 30 minutes later, I had something to remember my Uncle with. I came back the next day and got a hat for my cousin. I also got it embroidered. The price out the door was $ 50. It was a bit expensive but I don’t plan on doing this often. The guys were friendly and helpful. I’m a hat club member but I know Lids is a preferred NewEra account holder so I’ll probably be back in the next few months with the NFL regular season hats coming out.

New Era hats seem to dominate the selection, but they do carry other brands such as Kangol, Adidas, and various others. If you can’t find what you’re looking for here, check their website for a much bigger selection.
