Mountain Mikes Pizza

Good pizza and good service. Yummy lunch buffet and they keep the pizzas coming! A bit pricey so that would be my only real bash on it. Other than that. Great place!

Went there for the all you can eat lunch today and it was NOT up to my expectations. The salad bar was awful. The cheese looked awful, the lettuce had way too many big chunks of iceberg lettuce. The ranch dressing did not taste like ranch dressing. There really were not enough toppings for a green salad. Also to get to the dessert pizza you had to place your arms into a regular pizza, so that is very unsanitary. Guess they saved money as I didn’t eat much.

Like this place a lot will come back soon. Perfection nonetheless. Love the people, love the pizza.

I Celebrated my 35^th Birthday Bash there last month, and I must say I got the worst service I have ever had in all my life.
Me and about four other friends arrived early to set up. I was waiting out side to greet my other friends (the guests that I invited to the event) to show them where the party was and while I was waiting an employee told me that we could’t be in the banquet room because there was a party reserved. So I went to the counter to confirm that that party was my event. I had reserved the party room back in August, and take with them on the phone about a week earlier to conform and they said it was set in stone. They thought we were someone else.
When more guest arrived I went to order food for my friends and I told them I was with the party and they kept asking me If I wanted to have a party there. I told them about three times that we we’re having a party and I would like to start the orders for the event. It took them a while to give us our pizzas, and it was NOT that busy that day. When i saw what we had ordered I went to get it and they told me it wasn’t for us, until I had told them twice that was what we ordered. When They brought us a new pizza, they didn’t take they empty tray or bother to ask if they could remove any dishes we weren’t using.
When I was about to server the desert My other friend went to the cashier to ask for paper plates and plastic forks for the right amount and we had to go back and get more. After the party when I closed the tab, I asked about deals and they only gave me 20% off for a total of over $ 300! I then say a piece pf paper with party deals they they didn’t even think of offering to me. Bottom line, I was over charged.
I brought my iPod with a setlist to entertain my friends with as well and a checkers game, a deck of cards and a chess board to have for the guests incase my friends with kids didn’t have enough money for video games. When I left, I forgot to get my chess board so I had to call several times to ask I had left it there, there was no answer. When someone finally answered I had to ask about six or eight times if I left a chess board there. They kept asking me if I wanted to pay with a check for a party, and I repeatedly told them that I had a party there earlier that afternoon and I was wondering If i left my chess board there. Someone said they would check and just hung up on me. I went there and a bus boy who recognized me told to to go to the counter, and when i got there an employee grudgingly handed it to me.
I work at Round Table Pizza, and am a veteran employees. I wanted to host my event there for a change of scenery, and I must that that this was a bunch of baloney. I didn’t let this spoil my day, my friend were happy with the turn out of the party. One thing that I can guarantee is that I will never have another birthday bash here again, or even come here for that matter. There are other restaurant in Contra Costa County with banquet room, and much better service then this ridiculous Mickey Mouse BS. I should have had it where I work. Where I work we take care of our guests, and listen to them and make sure that they are happy, and offer the best service that they can get. When someone has a party, I would never dare not offer then deals for parties.
This place has lost future customers and future birthday bashes, period.

I have ordered from this Mt Mikes many times over the years, but I won’t be any longer. A simple issue that they could have easily resolved, yet they chose not to after trying to get them to on 3 separate occasions. I’m done, I won’t be coming back or placing orders with them again. They just lost a good customer. They’re customer service sucks!

We normally order delivery from this location and they are fine but today I went in to order something and my experience was so bad, I felt compelled to share here. First of all, as I stood at the counter, two employees looked at me but failed to say ANYTHING. They continued doing whatever they were doing, like replacing the cups, and other busy work. I began to think I was standing in the wrong place. No one said, «we will be with you in a minute or anything that vaguely would have communicated that I was a customer. A third employee walked in from a break or possibly a delivery since he had keys in his hands. He again stared at me as if I were an alien invader, put his keys down and started to handle food. No washing or hand sanitizing. Finally the girl who had been filling silverware and cup dispensers not more than five feet from me said «Can I help you?» Her attitude was not friendly AT ALL! I ordered and paid and she completed the transaction with no further words. When I received my order, the guy who seemed to have the aversion to washing his hands, handed the order to me in complete silence! Not a word. Only a stare that I did not comprehend. How does a place that obviously has so little value of customer service and hygiene stay in business. I’m sure they could care less if I ever come back. I am a normally a very positive person and refrain from negative reviews, but I definitely don’t give my hard earned money to rude people. And we just tasted the food I ordered and it was cold and odd tasting. I would hope they wouldn’t be so stupid as to do something to our food, but based on their behavior it seems likely so we will trash it. It’s sad that there are people like that in our world…

I will start off by saying I am a fan of Mountain Mikes Pizza. Especially their tiny little pepperonis. Sure they’re greasy beyond hell, and some of them can be dried out, but they’re still amazing in my opinion.
That’s what we ordered when we came here. Plus drinks and endless salad bar visits. Add a medium sized pizza to that and the total came to $ 32.00. Besides the pepperoni, another thing I love about their pizza is the slices are cut small. It may be a mind trick, but in a way I think it may help with portion control. Usually that pizza would be long gone, but surprisingly we still had half by the time we left.
Now onto the location itself. Around 1:00 pm it was pretty dead. Besides us there was only one other table full. Two if you count the woman who works there, sitting at a table and checking her phone. Yes, she put it away and took our order, but then went back to her table to continue checking her phone. The entire staff looked so incredibly bored it was painful.
I also didn’t like the mountain of pizza boxes they have stacked in the dining room. It was a well built mountain of boxes I will give them that, but to have your dining room serve as a storage area as well didn’t play well for me.
With great pizza and a pretty good salad bar, it’s a pretty safe bet I will return.

I really liked mountain mikes pizza, it was my favorite ‘n there is one very close to my home, but unfortunately i got a bad experience with them the other day. I don’t eat pork, and while ordering over the phone, i mentioned this several times that No pork at all on my pizza, but when i went there to pick up, i opened the box n wanted to make sure the topping is what i ordered ;suddenly i noticed something different n that was red meat, i went back to them n asked them r u guys really sure these r all chicken? they guy who was working there came to the window n brought a chunk of chicken n pork, to show me the differences, n i picked up the small piece of red meat n asked him what is this? Good thing that he noticed himself that was pork which was mixed with the chicken. After that its so hard to trust. I really liked their pizza, but because of this i cant go there any more.

The pizza is inconsistent. One time it’s fantastic and the next it’s little Ceasers. I like the fact that they deliver and send coupons to the house regularly. The customer service from the kid’s who answer the phone could definitely use some work. I ordered a large pepperoni pizza on Tuesday night. I asked for half just cheese and half extra pepperoni. The girl was not very friendly about my request and ultimately when we got the pizza, my request wasn’t honored.

The Mt. Veggiemore is sinfully good, loaded with fresh veg, even fresh mushrooms not that canned garbage. I also had the pepperoni pizza, the pepperoni are crisp and plentiful. The only problem is it was quite oily and I had to give it the paper towel treatment.

We went to Mountain Mikes over the weekend. The pizza was served hot and the salad bar was fresh and plentiful.

The buffet is legit! Can’t beat the price! Using your own plate is not a problem as some other customers reported. After all it is your own plate unless you yourself aren’t sanitary. I recommend the cheese sticks and the pepperoni pizza can’t go wrong!

Can’t say it’s great, but it’s not bad. I came here for the dinner buffet and they didn’t actually replenish the buffet in the time I was there. That’s fine, I was done eating, but it seemed off that they wouldn’t have another pizza to replace the finished one.

Came there around 3:30 today ordered an Everest along with salad bar. Place wasn’t busy at all. Another family ordered a salad bar, after they finished their first plate, they used same plate for second round (DISGUSTING, UNSANITARY, HEALTH DEPT ALERT?) You get another clean plate… alerted cashier she did nothing. I asked for a clean plate, she told me I use my same plate… HEALTH DEPT ALERT!
Don’t recommended eating salad bar, or their pizza… what else do they don’t do… very unsanitary… HEALTH DEPT COMPLAINT WILL BE MADE!!!

Great pizza and salad bar. Service is average at best.
Good deal on pitchers of beer.

I don’t understand all the bad reviews, because I’ve never had anything less than a delicious pizza from here. Yeah, service isn’t that great, but for a pizza parlor it’s good. Good salad bar. Pepperoni pizza extra crispy is always tasty. Perfect atmosphere for dinner with the baby.

My dad loves this place because the pizza is awesome. However, the staff is not. Aside from the girl that rang me up, the staff could use improvement. I noticed she was the only one working, multitasking. Ringing up customers, cleaning. Another girl was doing deliveries, answering phone calls. & as these two did most of the work, two other men sat at a table, eating, while there was a line. I understand if they are on a break, but with my retail & food service experience, I know if there’s a line, you need to put in work. Either they need to work on their customer service skills or the manager needs to strongly consider who is being hired here. I’ll come back for the pizza, but maybe another location, because I do not want to give my money to people who don’t work.

Have been coming over here for well over 8 years.
My last visit was… subpar.
They get 3 stars because the staff remembered my face after all these years, as I used to be a regular. I’d come here after school or on weekends to hang out and they’d never fuss about it.

Here’s what it is. Pizza that tastes good when it’s hot. Beer that’s cold and cheap and comes in enough variety to keep this craft beer snob sated. Video games to keep the kids happy. The game on to keep me happy.
Is the pizza as good as Paxti’s or that hole in the wall in Oakland you love? No.
Is it a reasonable place to cram pizza into a party full of fourth graders. Yes it is. It fills a niche. Why would you come here if you’re single and looking fo da ladies?
Because you’re doing it wrong.

All I have to say is the place is run down, the staff is rude, pizza sucks, arcade is a joke & oh did I mention the staff is rude!!! Taj & Manny were just plain rude and I will never go there again. My daughter was playing the games in the «arcade» and all the machines kept taking her money and wouldn’t work.
