I love this store! There are so many unusual finds at the Nesting. The atmosphere and décor are so warm and welcoming. A most relaxing shopping experience.

What a shop! They had the most unique items and the shop was beautifully maintained. We spent a good amount of time looking at all the items here, PLEASE make it a must to go into every room and see every piece… what a great place!

This shop is adorable and full of the cutest antiques, jewellery and home décor available! The things in the shop are obviously hand picked and I think reasonably priced. I bought the cutest antique salt and pepper shakers there. The service is warm and friendly. If I’m ever back in this area I absolutely be stopping back by!

Love this store. I get lost in it. It’s more of a museum of vintage treasures for me, more than a place I would shop at.(I would if I could afford 300 dollar opera glasses). Sometimes I pick up some nice trinkets here and there, and find inspiration. I love getting lost in it. I hope nesting stays for a long time.

A wonderful eclectic mix of new and old. A store with rooms to be explored and treasures to be found. A bit of old Europe transported to Concord. The owners and staff are always friendly and welcoming. At the Holidays they have a wonderful open house. It’s hard to chance upon a wonderfully creative store with unique gifts and that is exactly what Nesting is. This store is always a must go to when I’m in Concord.

New, old, new masquerading as old? Vintage, antique? I’m hard pressed to label this store beyond saying it is a truly lovely timesuck. Packed to the French Provincial gills with books, gifts, curiosities, and a plethora of objets d’art. Nesting is perched above the Main Street Market & Café and offers room after charming room filled with treasures bound to keep you browsing. The avian theme permeates with hints of Robin’s Egg blue, antique birdcages, and decorative birdnests nestled in with the rest of the shop. Portlandia told us to put a bird on it, and they listened. It was somewhere I could(and did) easily kill a substantial chunk of time poking through every nook and cranny, sorting through vintage maps, and taking in the multitude of knickknacks lining the walls, tables and floor. I loved looking through antique sheet music, recipes and postcards. Probably my favorite part was when I found a stack of actual love letters, bundled in their original envelopes– complete with newspaper clippings and photos. I found a quiet corner and poured through the sloping cursive missives between a young couple in the 1930’s, feeling engrossed but guilty to have access to something so private. I’m sad to say in the age of the internet I’ve received only a few handwritten love letters that weren’t penned at the bottom of a Hallmark card– and I can’t imagine that 50 years from now the next generations will get the same voyeuristic charge if they clicked through the text message exchange between me and my boo. Perfect for gifts, home décor or a guilty pleasure afternoon of poking around in other people’s loves stories.

Thankfully the BF decided to grab a coffee in the shop downstairs. If he hadn’t, I might not even have paid much attention to the staircase on the side. While he grabbed his coffee, I climbed up and took a peek. What a peek it was. Gorgeously displayed vintage and decorator items, a real visual treat. I love poking and browsing so had fun going from room to room checking out all the treasures. Thank goodness I left the credit card at home or I might have bought out the store. Definitely worth a stop when visiting Concord.

I have no idea what some of these other shoppers are talking about, but this shop is wonderful! Great items, interesting selections, good prices and displayed as artfully and beautifully as it gets! Do yourself a favor and allow yourself to get«lost» in these great objects: found, repurposed in some cases, and arranged with care and attention. I’m a fan — and I’m a fellow antiques dealer, not easy to please! The women who own and run this store are friendly, informed, helpful and all around pleasant! It’s a destination for me – I get inspired every time I visit!

The owner of this store is an interior designer, and it shows: Nesting is very sumptuously and seductively decorated, packed to the gills with old and new found objects. Much of it reflects the owner’s interest in natural history and curiosity cabinets, an aesthetic which I definitely appreciate. The store is beautiful as a whole, but once I start narrowing my focus to individual objects, I start to lose interest. My biggest complaint is that most of the items aren’t true antiques: They’re antiques that have been altered in some way or they’re new items made to look antique. Another person may not care, but for the money, I’d rather have the real thing. I’m often tempted to buy a fossil, deer skull, or mounted insect, but my better judgement triumphs and points me towards less expensive options on ebay! Nevertheless, I always enjoy stopping in when I visit Concord and sometimes find something interesting for my collection of curiosities.

The companionable Trixy climbed the stairs to this antique shop one Sunday afternoon so I followed. I found her wandering glassy-eyed in a number of attractively furnished rooms packed with feathers, etched mirrors, bird related ephemera, antique pen nibs, Victorian prints, boxes of beverage thermometers — you name it — it was on display. An Enya-like dirge thrummed over cunningly-concealed stereo speakers. Trixy displayed none of the usual effusive clucking and I wondered if the hypnotic sound track had done its work. «No» she reported, perfectly lucid. «It’s not advisable to get me in a trance. If I don’t cluck, I don’t buy».
