Payless Shoe Source

I came in here last week to find comfortable shoes for work. I was impressed by the Safe T Step line of shoes and found a pair I liked. This line has lots of good options for black, cushy-​insoled shoes with non-​mark soles (look for the orange boxes), although somewhat slim pickings in the 8 — 8 ½ size range.
My issue stems from the fact that despite my shoes being marked as on sale for $ 24.99 on the box, I was charged $ 29.99. I didn’t notice the issue until after I got home, so I went back a few days later expecting to be refunded the $ 5, no big deal. Despite showing the woman at the counter that the box was clearly marked with the sale price of $ 24.99 and showed the correct type & name of the shoe in the picture, she refused to refund me the $ 5. I was not impressed with her unwillingness to help me resolve this issue that was on Payless’s end, not mine.

My brother and I went here on Friday; brother shops here all the time, I haven’t been in a PayLess for a number of years. Very nice store and the checker was very friendly and helpful. I noticed the earrings and he said that they’ve been selling them for some time now… nice earrings (I like the large hoop earrings which they have). Since I don’t work in an office anymore, where I have to wear expensive dress shoes, I can finally get comfortable shoes that are inexpensive here (and they look nice too). Again, a very nice store and the prices are just right.

I am very disappointed after shopping 45 minutes I finally found shoes that I wanted to wear and they refused to sell them to me because they couldn’t find the SKU in the system!!! I’m really disappointed with you Payless. I have loved your company for a long time and they discontinued the other pair of shoes that I love and so this was my substitute and now they won’t sell those to me either! What a shame.
So that post was from last night and I came back today and I talked to the manager Mike and he was amazing and he helped me out a lot I was able to get the shoes that I wanted!!!

Back Story: I was looking for a specific pair of shoes for a wedding that I had found at another location in Brentwood while visiting my sister, but the Brentwood store didn’t have my size and sent me to another store, which according to them had my size. I got to the second store and they didn’t have my size after all but suggested a store in Pitsburg might have it.
Solution: So I went home to Martinez and did a local search online and saw that this location might have my size. I called the store around 8:30am expecting an answering machine and Michael answered! Wow, I was surprised not only was he friendly, he answered the phone before the store opened, found that yes, indeed he did have my size and let me know what time they were open. I went in and Michael was there and had my shoes ready for me to pick up! I was so happy to finally get my shoes after all that run around!

If you need cheap shoes displayed in a totally random way, then this is the place for you. Otherwise, part with a few more of your hard earned ducats and shop for shoes elsewhere.

After a terrible day in the rain, I needed an emergency pair of (dry) boots and socks and the chick that works here saved my poor wet feet. I was later informed by her brother who goes to school with me that her name is Vianey. She picked out a sweet pair of boots for me and some Hello Kitty socks and sold me a rain guard spray which I used on the new boots and all my boots at home. Thanks!

Decent store… as mentioned, it has very low traffic. Decent staff. Poor selection for women’s shoes over side seven.

I like this Payless Shoes because they are never packed and have a good selection. Took my son here today because his were falling apart. They had a ton to choose from and lots of room for him to run around and make sure they fit right. great store!

I am not a shoe addict. I can walk into a shoe store, spend some time perusing and trying on and leave without a purchase. Even when I find something that I like. It takes a bit of self control, yes, but I can do it.
I had some time to kill between work and going to a friend’s house for dinner so I popped into to this Payless. This store is clean and organized and had some good sales going on. There were a number of $ 10 options and nothing I looked at was over $ 25.
They did have a display of dye-​able shoes that looked pretty decent for a wedding or other special occasion. The basic white is $ 25.99; $ 45.99 to have customized from a selection of 30+ colors.

4pm last Saturday I realized I only had some beat up black beetle boots to wear for a family wedding. Yes folks, a total fashion no-​no.
So I zipped over to Payless and tryed on these nice 2 toned faux suede brown pumps with abundant traction– traction can save your back hide peoples!
I danced the night away with my new suede shuuz!
