Sunset Pines

I moved into a 1BR unit right in front of the entrance to the right.
Problem #1:
The plumbing in that unit started backfiring either the 3^rd or 4^th day I moved in. Black water started coming out of all the sinks, toilets, and the bathtub. It reeked! It was chunky, thick, and oily. A huge mess to clean up to when I would wake up to a flooded sink full of dishes and black water. There were no other units available to move into either. The maintenance guy (who was really hard to get a hold of) said there was nothing they could do to fix it because the only way to fix it was to completely rebuild the whole complex because of the way the pipes were. While trying to temporarily fix it (which had to be done so often) they notified everyone on the upper levels to not flush any toilets. That didn’t stop them from doing so… I had to get the carpet cleaned so many times because it kept flooding to the living room.
Problem #2:
The walls we also very thin. There is a control box right outside that same unit and whenever someone opens it an shuts it, it makes the loudest bang because it doesn’t close without force. Every month I was scared awake because of it. I had to constantly keep re-​hanging picture frames so often that I gave up and took them down.
Problem #3:
You can hear every conversation at full volume right outside of the entrance where people hang out till about 2 or 3am. Sometimes there are kids grinding their skateboards on the stairs and it makes the loudest sound late at night.
Problem #4:
This isn’t the apartment’s fault, but just a warning. If you are moving to the concord area, especially that area, be prepared for very loud music all throughout the night.
Other than that, there is no guest parking, especially at night, I wish you the best of luck. The pool area is nice. If you really want to move into this complex, ask about the black water first. It may or may not be fixed. What I went through was horrible. Just a warning.

I lived here for a little over a year and would not have moved if it wasn’t for them raiding my rent. For the most part things were cool except the lack of parking, the kids running around the halls at night and the bad communication from the resident manager, It’s very difficult to get her on the phone. Anyway, it wasn’t horrible but not fancy living either.
