Uncle Bob’s Self Storage

I had a really great experience using their storage facility here in Concord. The staff was friendly and courteous and very helpful. It’s great to do business here! The building where my climate controlled storage unit was, was clean and the temperature comfortable. I definitely recommend this business to anyone looking to rent storage space in Concord.

In all honesty, there is not a lot to review about a storage unit. My unit was clean, safe, and easily accessible. That aside, the office was completely devoid of staff from 11AM-​1PM each day I stopped by. Whether it was just my unfortunate luck, or a matter of course, the «sorry for the inconvenience, we will be back at …» sign was on the door all too frequently. Also beware of a $ 20 «account creation» fee for first time users that is not advertised. It was only upon receiving my bill that I was explained that all new customers have to pay an additional $ 20 fee.

Hard to even give 1 star to this place. We sent an inquiry about reserving a space further in advance than their website allows. There was a link to send an email to request a different date, so we used it. We received a timely reply, though it did not answer our inquiry but gave us a reference number and a phone number to call. We called the number and the people who answer do not give their names, a bad sign. When I gave the reference number they told me I couldn’t reserve the space so far in advance (this was ¹¹⁄₁₉ and we wanted it reserved for ¹¹⁄₂₅ — they would only reserve it to ¹¹⁄₂₂). I offered to pay for the entire rental (6 months to store car) and the anonymous «customer service» person said she could transfer me to a manager who can take payments and ‘out of the system time’ reservations. The ‘manager’ also did not provide a name and cut me off mid-​sentence. I had to dial back and go through another anonymous «customer service» person to get back to the manager. He said they can’t take the reservation so far in advance (but could confirm they had 6 units that would suit my needs?) and could not take payment over the phone. He said he could help me, though, if I just did this: Reserve the space for ¹¹⁄₂₂ in the system, wait until midnight on ¹¹⁄₂₂ and the ‘system’ would cancel the reservation, then it SHOULD accept a reservation for the 25^th.. huh?
Thankfully Thirty Pines Storage was much more reasonable, and guess what? They provide names when you call.
Steer clear of Uncle Bob’s in Concord NH.. .incompetence at its finest!

I recently had a bout of bad luck and ended up needing to put my belongings in storage. After calling multiple self-​storage places, I decided to go with Uncle Bob’s and I am glad that I did. Not only were the storage units spacious to hold all my stuff safely for 2 months, they gave me 1 month free rent, provided a truck for my move in to the unit and also had trucks available for when I was ready to move out. The place was clean and secure. I felt confident that my belongings were being watched over by conscientious people. It was a smooth process that cost me next to nothing, comparatively speaking, and I would recommend Uncle Bob’s to anyone who is in a bind and needs a place to stash their stuff.
