I used to go to a mega VF Outlet in Reading, Pa. I mean multiple stories huge. Part of the fun was that you’d wade thru irregulars to find the best deals in the best condition. This store is a fraction of the size and I haven’t noticed anything other than first quality clothing. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but that’s not what I think about with a traditional VF Outlet. Prices are mostly marked half of retail and then go down from there depending on the sale. They don’t carry the most fashionable clothing or brands so even half off is a little too much at times. I’ve picked up a few shirts for work there but that’s about it.

I have been to a VF outlet years ago, and remember finding some great bargains(I particularly remember a pair of acid-washed jeans that were trendy at the time… don’t judge!) When I saw that they were opening in Concord Mills, I was interested to see if my memories matched the new store. While this store is smaller than the one I shopped in before, I still find that they have a lot of selection in sizes and styles. No, you’re not going to find trendy labels, here. You’re pretty likely to find something that fits, though, and for a great price. They have sizes from plus-sized women and big/tall men down to infants. I am HARD to fit. I’m a big girl, and short, on top of it. I found THREE different styles that fit me yesterday, and they were marked down to 7.97. No, that’s not a typo. I was so jazzed! Some items are irregular, but clearly marked as such(I picked one up to try on, and it had a tiny weird stiching line inside the waistband. It wasn’t something that would have affected wearing at all, and personally, I do not care if there is an odd line on the INSIDE, lol. The staff there is extremely friendly and helpful(I cannot remember the last time that I was in a lower-end store and had a waiting room attendant come and check on me to see if I needed anything). If you sign up for their text message program, you save 10% on that day’s items(and you can always cancel later). I will definitely remember this place in a month or two when it is time to start school shopping!

I grew up in the town of the original VF Outlet and was amazed that when VF corp moved to Greensboro, they didn’t have an outlet store in NC yet. But finally they opened one in Concord Mills. Now this store’s size is just a small fraction of the size of the original store in Wyomissing, PA but it’s still better than nothing. The best thing about VF outlets is that they sell brand new clothes for ½ off the regular price. And they sell brand names like Lee, Wrangler, Jantzen, and several others. So I recommend this store if you are near Concord but I if you want to check out the original store, go to up to PA. The store is huge up there. and in PA you don’t pay sales tax on clothing.
