BEAUTIFULFACILITY, BEAUTIFULSTAFF When working to help people recover, you need to have a good heart and a lot of patience. It must be hard work to continually take care of and encourage others; especially when they may not be physically strong enough to take care of themselves. I met with a woman and her father at this facility to notarize a document for him. It was easy to find — located conveniently on Willow Pass Road with ample guest parking. I have volunteered in nursing homes before and this is a smaller-sized one. I walked in the front door and a reception room was ahead with large, glass doors and windows all around, providing lots of natural light. I immediately noticed how clean the place was. It smelled fresh, without the smell of chemical cleaners. The pair I was to meet were waiting for me in a nicely decorated room and we talked a lot about while I looked over the document to notarize. The father was recovering from surgery here and had another ten days or so before going home. The woman described their experience in the facility as «heaven sent». She said that they’d had much different experiences with staff in the Rossmoor area and this was a place for which she had a lot of positive things to say. Mostly about the wonderful staff. The grounds out front and in the back of the building were luscious and well-manicured. I saw bird feeders out back and trees providing shade. I noticed residents of different ages. I briefly spoke with a woman in her office before leaving — possibly the center’s administrator — and she was very nice. I was told there are 81 beds here. I would definitely recommend this place to someone looking for a nursing home for a loved one.
