First time here. I hear about«taco tuesday» all the time, but never thought it was actually a thing. I stopped by and ordered 3 street tacos. I was amazed at how generous they were with the Carne asada. On top of that, the Carne asada were tender!!! I live in richmond/san Pablo and there are literally taco trucks on every corner. The«street tacos» here are definitely good. Will be back for more: D

This was my first time ever hearing or noticing this place! My mom saw the«$ 1 taco tuesday» sign outside and asked me if I wanted to go. How can I say no to tacos? This place has a very cute atmosphere and its very spacious, which is great. The guy who rung us up was very friendly and helpful as well! I ordered the regular 7 carne asada tacos and the guy gave us little containers to use for the salsa bar. Their salsa = awesome! It was super spicy(for me) but that didn’t stop me from eating like three containers full of it lol. My mom also asked a lady if it came with chips(because she saw it on the photo), and she said that they charged for a dollar but ended up giving it to us for free! Holla! And let’s just say, those chips were probably the best I’ve ever tasted. Their carne asada was also really good too, but I found it kind of lacking in flavor. So when I went home I added a pinch of salt, Lime, and their salsa. Ohhhhhh my goodnesss… It was absolute HEAVEN. This place is a gem and I’m so glad my mom saw that sign. Good job Taqueria Classica! I will come back again for Taco Tuesday.

Stopped by this place with some friends on a whim. So glad I did because this is my new go-to Mexican place. Loved the chicken taco and nachos. Very friendly staff. Will definitely be back soon.

This review is for the $ 1.00 street tacos. Love love love them. I’ve had both the grilled chicken and the carne asada. Atmosphere: Nice little restaurant. Clean, has T.V., over 10 tables. Smells delicious. Crew: Friendly Prices: Reasonable… $ 1.00 tacos hello I’ll definitely be returning. I want to try all the good looking eats. I fully expected the street tacos to only be available in chicken or ground beef; but that’s not the case. You can choose between shredded or grilled chicken, carne asada, carnitas and more. The only tacos not a dollar are the shrimp or fish tacos. This is definitely a spot worth checking out.

A solid 3 stars for this Mexican joint. I’ve ordered items such as the quesadillas(way too small a portion for the price), burritos(a toss up– can be excellent), and nachos so I think I can make a fair assessment on the food at this point. I’ve been about 5 times, 3 out of those 5 times the food was great! The owner is very friendly, the folks are all nice and the service is sweet. A couple of times, including today, the food was just so-so. I must say that the nachos have been the worst thing I’ve ordered here, they used very salty chips, liquid yellow cheese(think 7 – 11 nachos) and about 4 pieces of avocado which were not good. It all depends on the cook of the day, the older male cook has made great food, the younger cook not so much. We may or may not come back– definitely not a must-try spot.

It looks like I found my wife and my new Mexican restaurant in Concord. Bo introduced me to their Barbacoa! It was great. Steve, the owner, allowed me to try their Chili Verde, which is one of favorite Mexican Dishes. It was phenomenal! My wife and I will be back for Taco Tuesday for the $ 1 tacos! The Carne Asada is supposed to be the best. Can’t wait to try it.

What brings us back to a restaurant is good food and excellent service! This place not only has TODIEFORFOOD! But the family who owns it are the nicest people ever! Frankie, who I believe is the owners nephew is a super nice kid! Goes out if his way and they are good Christian people! The breakfast burrito is delicious! My kids love this place and it is immaculately clean! I definitely recommend this place!

I’ve been here about 4 times and boy can I say their Nachos With Carne Asada are the best things I’ve ever tasted, their fish and shrimp tacos really do live up to their hype as well. The owner is very easy to talk to and is Fantastic, the workers are very friendly and are really nice everything about this place is great, I definitely recommend this place for anyone who is in the mood for QUALITY Mexican food. Or anyone who is in the mood for food period trust me it’s excellent. You won’t regret it.

I’ve only been here once and thought I’d try these guys on a Tuesday for Taco Tuesday. Ordered two tacos. In my opinion they were a bit on the expensive side, I think like $ 3.50 each. Yeah they do come with avocado but still. Steve the owner said they are famous for their Carne Asada. I thought it was ok but the consistency of the meat was weird… almost like thin slices then chopped rather than the thicker cuts diced like at other taco places. Al Pastor was good. Found out as we were leaving they had a discount on the original tacos for Tuesday! You’d think the owner would mention something when we ordered and told him that we came here for Taco Tuesday. Oh well.

I hate to do this. The service and owners attitude was great, but the food really isn’t good. The tacos had no flavor in the meat. It really is not authentic food and completely missed the mark. The owner Steve is very personable and talks to you, greets you when you walk in. That’s outstanding. But the food needs to improve if I return. I’ve tried the tacos, and the breakfast burrito. The breakfast burrito had about 3 times as much beans as it should have and still came up short with a lack of flavor. Maybe they need to try MSG on their food to enhance the flavor. Or at least advertise that they don’t use MSG.

I did NOT like my carnitas fries. I would have given this place 1 star for the food alone, but since the owner was really nice, I’m giving them 2 stars. Everything about my carnitas fries was wrong. The fries are the thick cut kind, which I don’t mind, but they were undercooked and soggy. The cheese sauce was like watered down velveeta and the carnitas lacked flavor. They were a little stingy with the salsa and sour cream, but they were way too generous with the jalapeños. Even my daughter didn’t eat much of it. We ended up throwing most of it away. Talk about disappointment.

My whole softball team came for a quick lunch and have never been greeted with such open arms before. The whole family came up to us to check on us… Seriously the best experience and costumer service I’ve ever experienced. The food was great as well… I definitely know where I’m going to be going and sending my friends whenever I visit Concord.

I came in because i was lost and my phone was dead, but i was also hungry. I asked if anyone knew which way my destination was and one of the staff members looked it up on their phone and have me directions. The food was really good. The owner who was working the register was very energetic and friendly. He made sure everyone in his restaurant was happy with their meal. It’s very much a family restaurant. I got a grilled chicken quesadilla. I had to pay extra for guacamole, but it was cheaper to begin with so I guess that’s fair. The only drawback was that there was no salsa bar. But maybe they are planning on adding one later. Regardless, the owner brought me some spicy carrots.

Found Taqueria Classica through Unilocal on «Hot & New Nearby»… Looks like this place just opened recently, but the reviews were great! Especially seeing a lot of 4⁄5 star reviews from several people including Unilocal Elites. I happen to be in the area doing some errands so I decided I should try this place. They’re in a tiny strip mall building with Digger’s Diner. Parking is pretty scarce. I happen to get there before noon, before the lunch rush. While I was waiting for my food I could see all the cars circling & trying to see if they could find a spot or see if someone was leaving the parking lot. I think a lot of people opted for just parking in the adjacent street to the strip center. So, inside the restaurant, there were 2 sit down customers, but as the lunch hour progressed more people came in. It seems they were going to get busy. The restaurant itself is decorated quite well. Not too much, not too little. Nicely done. The girl at the register was friendly. I ordered the Burrito Classico Giant w/Carnitas. They have a clear view of their cooking area & you can see your order being made right in front of you. On to the food… Classico Giant Burrito w/Carnitas: The burrito felt like it was about 1lb… Good size burrito. Everything was packed tightly. Overall the burrito had good flavor! The carnitas wasn’t dry. Their green sauce is great!!! I like things hot & their green sauce did not disappoint!!! The red sauce has good spice & flavor too!!! All in all, Taqueria Classica has me wanting more to try from their menu!!! I’ll be back soon to try everything else!!!

Taqueria Classica was an unique eating experience. not cuz it’s my first burrito(nor my last). it’s cuz the burrito was so much different from ones in oaktown and s.f. the burrito wasn’t the usual dry, kind of wet. eats: lengua burrito(4.99) –chucks of tender beef tongue, beans, no rice in liquid solution. –burrito average sized. 3.5 stars frijoles refritos: –drinks pricey –cashier suggested many add-ons, drinks, passed –setup same as el faro, ingredients may be fresher –cheerful service,

It’s open! Time to stop in! For the last few months, the vacant space between Bambino and Digger’s Diner has advertised an upcoming Mexican restaurant. Actually owned and operated by a friend of a friend of mine. So okay, there’s a little loyalty involved in eating there, but I hoped it was good grub. Quoting Rachael Ray, «This is. .. so good.» Of course there will be a fiesta atmosphere on Grand Opening day: owners happy that it’s up and running, wait staff eager to get the food to the hungry patrons, Bob The Clown making balloon animals for the kids, a waitress from Bambino walking in to give the girl at the register a high-five. But the food beat them all. I had the Burrito Classico Giant with pastor. I’ve had bigger, but this one was quite filling. The meat was king, the other fillings did not overpower the rough tasty bbq pork. My hunny had the Burrito Regular with chicken, she said it was good but so big she couldn’t finish it. My daughter had the quesadillas, and I ate some of the quesadilla that she couldn’t finish; not soft and gooey, the cheese was cooked into the tortilla, well made. I asked the owner about the salsa, was it made on site? He pointed to the man behind the counter who made it that day. Muy bueno! Time will tell if Taqueria Classica should be moved up to 5 stars. The Coke machine wasn’t working, and the speakers weren’t enough wattage for the sound system playing the rancheiro musica. But we got filled up for $ 20; again, I’m the only one out of us three who finished his entire lunch. So if you’re at a baseball game at the park, getting gas at ARCO, on the way to/from Monte Gardens School, or just happen to be around Willow Pass & Farm Bureau, make it a point to get your Mexican on at Taqueria Classica.
