My wife and I have passed Granny’s Kitchen a number of times and said«we have to stop there» and we finally did. Wow, I can’t remember being so disappointed in a restaurant. My wife ordered Country Fried Steak and I ordered the Beans and Weenie special. Mine was like paste severed in a cup and hers was awful. I would think Granny would have made real mashed potatoes and gravy, if they were real they were really watered down, and they gravy looked and tasted fresh from the can. Sometimes you can say«well let’s give em another try». Sorry can’t say that this time, I wish I could but names can be deceiving.

Me and my husband eat here quite a bit the food is good down to earth country cooking the prices are fair and the portions are OK they use to have bigger size portions but in the last two months have really cut back their portion sizes. The food is really good country cooking!

I have eaten here several times. The food is always good, hot, and the service is beyond amazing. The restaurant is old, but very clean. They have lots of choices. From the outside, the restaurant looks like a truckstop. I have passed by there hundreds of times in my life and never thought to stop until my husband and boys decided to give it a try. We are all glad we did!

I had always been fretful of Granny’s Kitchen. I would describe it as a truck stop off I-40. I went there for the first time in many years and was shocked by the new management. The restaurant was one of the cleanest I had eaten in. The food is country cooking, which is very good. Don’t expect to see a lot of healthy things on the menu. My only complaint is having to walk through the smoking section to get a non smoking table. PS I am an outsider to the area. The locals love Granny’s Kitchen.
