This place is great! Victor always gets my to-go perfect. View is amazing. It was nice when this place was a well kept secret, now the word is starting to get out.

My family and I had breakfast here on Sunday 4⁄24. We love the food and the outdoor patio was the perfect weather for the kids to watch the planes. My only few complaints were, that my wife’s food(pico benedict) was cold and mine(lobster benedict) was slightly warm. The patio could have used a cleaning, it looked like a few children had left a mess on the floor. We did not want to mess with sending anything back so no big deal. My children loved their pancakes and I look forward to coming back again.

What a wonderful experience. The fish tacos are amazing and the atmosphere is so different than most eateries. You can watch the planes take off and land while you eat. If you go you MUST try the fish tacos!

This place is amazing! The drink selection is the best. Nearly everything we have ordered(even tried stuff my wife ordered that i didn’t even like) is delicious! The staff is superb and the view is great! Can’t think of any nitpick really… We love going here.

Luckily I walked in with a Mom of 3 who had obviously been here before. Wouldn’t have known to go to he 3rd floor. I just copied everything she did. Grab a menu at the door, wait in line to order, given a pager and a cup of ice then paid for my soup and salad. $ 22 with $ 5 tip. One of the hostesses saw me struggling to carry all my items and my drink and helped me to a perfect two seater with the best view in the restaurant! I had the chicken tortilla soup and Caesar salad. Tons of food! Both were delicious! Can’t wait to come back and bring my husband! Great place tucked away by a runway!

I have been to this location a couple times and each time the food has been good. It’s an order at the counter and«pick up here» type of place. The main dining room is a good size and the patio is really nice to sit on and watch the planes if the weather permits. I have ordered both the sirloin Benedict and Pico Benedict and each time the eggs were poached wonderfully. Their vegetable breakfast burritos are tasty and cheap! I’ve had friends order salads and sandwiches that they all seemed to like also. Ticket times can run a little long so it’s not the place to go for lunch if you’re in a rush, even if you get there before noon. Good place to enjoy a casual meal and talk with friends.

All I can say is that this is an incredible place for many reasons. Every item on the menu that I have tried has been absolutely delicious. The staff is always very cordial and professional. Shawn, the manager, is a world-class human being. My wife and I had our wedding ceremony and reception in their restaurant, and everything about that experience was completely flawless. The flow of everything over the course of the evening was very smooth, and the entire staff was very attentive and helpful. The amount of personal attention that Shawn gave us in all of our planning was beyond anything we could have asked for. I would without a doubt recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious, reasonably-priced meal or even a venue to host a small event of some sort. You won’t be disappointed by anything about the Black Walnut.

My favorite Sunday brunch … Absolutely love the mimosas with their fresh squeezed orange juice. My other favorite is the Chicken Corden Blue Eggs Benedict and then to top it off with chocolate cake. Yummy !!!

Great location for a great restaurant. Black Walnut has impressive food, and this location in particular has great patio seating. This is my go to Café for breakfast.

Let me start by saying I love The Black Walnut in The Woodlands and I love breakfast. However, breakfast at The Black Walnut in Conroe, TX, was extremely disappointing. I invited two friends to go with me for breakfast this Saturday morning before Christmas shopping. Both friends loved the venue and the idea of it being at a regional airport. It’s different! There were no crowds and it was easy to find. However, the food was horrible! We all three decided to get the American Breakfast which included four items — eggs, choice of bread, potatoes, and your choice of meat. All three of us were disgusted with the potatoes. They tasted terribly«off» and were a soggy, unappealing mess of diced slimy potatoes, peppers, and burnt onions. Were they four days old and just heated up? They were inedible. The eggs were eggs — it is hard to ruin them but they had absolutely no seasoning. None. I had an english muffin which I expected to be toasted. My muffin was a limp, absolutely not toasted flap of bread, although semi warm. The turkey sausage was tasteless and pale in color. 100% disgusting. If I had been on my own or with my husband, I would had returned the plate and asked for something completely different. I did not, however, because I did not want to put an unpleasant spin on the beginning of our morning. After we «finished», and I say that tongue in cheek because none of the three of us ate even half our food, we left. Only then did we confess to each other that the food was horrible. I paid $ 12.00 for a plate of disgusting goo, with a drink, that no one would expect their pet to eat. Advice: serve appealing food. Potatoes should be CRISPY and not slimy. Give people a choice of just fried potatoes or fried potatoes with all the extra stuff. TOAST the bread. Season the eggs, and buy a better brand of tasty sausage — turkey or pork. I will not visit this place again nor will my friends. Yuck!

Absolutely wonderful counter service. Professional and friendly. My wife loves the salad here so we go once or twice a week. I love the lobster Benedict for brunch here… Always on point with food and service ! Five stars!

What a lovely place to start the morning off with an expansive view of the airport! We enjoyed watching the planes come and go while we ate breakfast. Food was good, except the potatoes were undercooked both times we visited this restaurant. I could not give it 5 stars, since we had to wait on ourselves — a minor annoyance.

Best Black Walnut location. Go on a nice day and sit outside. The menu and hours are limited compared to other locations, but I find this Black Walnut to be a gem in Conroe. Their spinach dip is on point(as are the brownies).

We are already fans of black walnut. I am also a fan of quiet breakfast and reading the paper while sipping coffee. Great weather to relax on the patio and watch the planes arrive and depart. Staff was super kind and helpful. Beware lots of people bring the kiddos to eat and watch the planes so if your not a fan of munchkins look carefully before you choose your seat. Otherwise I can’t wait to come back and enjoy great good with excellent company.

Came here for an hour while the plane was refueling for lunch. Place was pretty good, especially the desserts, but I was disappointed in my salad. The cheese was all moldy which turned me off. I ended up just picking out all the cheese and just eating the salad without it.

We have always been fans of flying for breakfast to various airports. The Black Walnut Café is hands down the best breakfast. The server said we’d be in for a treat. She was spot on. The eggs are large fresh, fried perfectly, and not greasy — just like the ones I make at home. And the bacon.. oh, the bacon is almost too good for words. Thick, crispy with pepper and when you bite into it– it’s meat not fat. The potatoes.. Well, they are a very classy succulent version of home fries. Eat here — you’ll be in for a treat.

I should have known when the place was completely dead that the food wouldn’t be good. Their white chocolate mocha coffee is really good. I ordered the French toast breakfast. They put some kind of lemon flavoring into their toast that is awful. The bacon was almost burnt. The potatoes were also almost burnt and flavorless. The only good part was the eggs and the coffee.

A fantastic place to grab breakfast! The facilities that the Café’ are located in are very nice and new. The restaurant itself has the best view one could ask for! Grab a seat next to the large windows to overlook the airport and watch airplanes land and take off. They also have great out door seating with an unrestricted view. The food itself was great. The breakfast is fresh and hearty. What more can you ask for, a great meal with an unbeatable view?
