Webster, TX
The convention center itself is nice, clean, easy to find, well lit and has plenty of free parking. The problem is that you have to use their recommended caterer, Spectrum, and they just do not do a good job. The food is not quality, not done as ordered, the serving portions are too small, the staff is not friendly, and I could go on. I’d go somewhere else where you can bring in a quality caterer.

Conroe, TX
Came here today for some big science exposition for Conroe ISD students. It was cool with kids stuff like at Children’s Museum of Houston represented by each school with kids playing around and a ballroom with cool robots to watch. Anyway, facility is small for a convention center, but it’s very nice, modern, clean, and very cozy unlike George R. Brown which can seem kind of dirty and sterile. I know there was a restaurant trade fair here last month full of free food and samples, wished I had known about it :(
