We originally visited Papa Nick’s for their Greek food. I had previously lived in Greece for a few years and have been searching for a Greek restaurant that served AUTHENTIC Greek food. Papa Nick’s is that place! If you are not a fan of Greek cuisine, they also offer the best catfish I have ever eaten! And, currently, on Wed and Fri PM, they offer an «all you can eat» catfish for $ 9.95. Their regular portion of catfish offers two large filets that will satisfy most hearty appetites. We have become regulars at Papa Nick’s and highly recommend it.

I won’t be back to this hole in the wall. The girl at the counter couldn’t have been more annoyed that we walked in. Everything on the menu was a la carte and over priced and none of it tasted fresh at all. When my boyfriend paid, the girl said she didn’t have any change and asked us for the exact amount. When we didn’t have it, she just kept our change! Wtf? Any other place would have rounded up and gave what they had, not steal the customers money. The icing on top of it all was when the grouch at the counter was carrying around a dirty fish tank she was cleaning then set it down to grab our trays of food from the service window without washing her hands. DISGUSTING! Then went right back to cleaning the nasty fish tank. Between the lack of sanitation, service, and fresh food, I have zero idea how this place is still open.

Okay y’all…Papa Nick’s is alive and kicking and sooooooo good! Papa hand batters everything. There are daily specials that are somewhat consistent but change. The regular menu is fantastic. If you get a daily special I would suggest ordering before 11 as they sell out quick. I’ll post the menu below but the specials are: Monday-Cabbage Rolls Tuesday-Pork Loin Wednesday-Red Beans & Rice Thursday-Beef Tips or Meatloaf Friday-8 Jumbo Shrimp Each day they also have a special sandwich and a steak. There are five specials that are posted on their Facebook page each day. They do not serve alcohol but you can BYOB or wine. Every Wednesday and Friday night they have all you can eat catfish from 5 – 9 for $ 9.95(which includes fries, hush puppies, and salad). He does fresh biscuits every morning. You can’t find better or cheaper breakfast around. See the menu below! The hours are 9 – 9 Monday through Saturday and closed on Sunday. Yes, the front AC was stolen and they are in a dispute with the landlord on getting it replaced so the front is kinda warm when ordering. However, once you move towards the back it cools down. I’m sitting here now and am just fine! He’s also getting a bigger TV for the back to play sports! So share this info and support this place.

I’m just excited that there’s now a Greek restaurant in Conroe! There are a number of Greek items on the menu including appetizers, salads, soup and entrees. This place is worth checking out, even if you’re not into Greek food, they also serve burgers, hot sandwiches, and other traditional American food items. This place has a decent sized casual dining area, and of course they do a lot of takeout orders. It can get quite busy at lunch time, so if you’re in the rush hour, you might want to call your order ahead. You won’t regret paying a visit.
