Awesome environment, very cozy. Wait is long but for homemade food it is worth the wait :)

I’ve been a fan of Pie in the Sky for a couple of years. The food is always delicious and the pies are just to die for! Lunch is generally busy and hectic but everyone gets taken care of. Parking can be a little dicey during busy times but I’ve never not been able to find a place to park. My only real concern is that service is kinda hit or miss. I have a favorite server there and rarely visit unless she’s working. The combination of the delicious food and Stephanie’s excellent customer service is unbeatable! If the service was a little more consistent I’d throw out 5 stars for sure!

Sweet place! :) Very charming. Delicious berry pie a la mode! Best I’ve ever had — yum! More please! And the iced coffee is perfect. So glad we stopped here — much better than that chain coffee shop.

Don’t go there if you want to order something. They don’t have everything that is on the menu at all times.

Incredible treat. Go during off hours, enjoy a meal, and then bring a little something home, too. This place is a rare find. It smells so good when you walk in that it ought to be criminal. This is a high production bakery that also serves a nice sit-down breakfast and lunch. At roughly 8:30 on a Friday, there were only two other tables. Service was friendly and actually fast. Other reviewers have criticized the service, but my experience was great, maybe because it was a weekday breakfast. I had the veggie omelette with a side of bacon and potatoes. All was perfect. The bacon was crispy-chewy, and the potatoes browned nicely with the right level of salt and pepper. The veggie omelette had squashes and onions and was tender and tasty. Next time I’ll for a little cheese on it, I think. They have free samples at the counter. I tried a piece of the tipsy chocolate chip cookie bar. Delicious, with soft, velvety texture, and a subtle kick that makes it tipsy. The breakfast and the free sample was so good, I picked up a pie and casserole to take home for dinner tonight. As for the pastries, they have full-sized pies, smaller ones, and single-serving. I appreciate that as I can take home something that my husband and I can split for a single treat without having a delicious pie camping out in the fridge for days, calling my name.

Not happy with the speed or service here ATALL. I visited on Pi Day, and I assumed that they would be either out of pies or swamped with people. I was wrong. My boyfriend and I arrived just before 2:30, and the place seemed to have a great atmosphere. There were a few families sitting and eating around the room, and as I was viewing the pies on display for sale, I noticed a mother-daughter pair sort of hovering near the check out area. I figured that they were in line, but they told me that they were still waiting on their order. I then went to check out, and stood in front of the register… Only to be BLATANTLY ignored. I figured that the cashiers would quickly finish what they were doing on the computers and help out the customer in front of them, but I was wrong. 3 staff members saw me standing there-AND SROODRIGHTINFRONTOFMEANDDIDNOTHELP!!! I was embarrassed that they weren’t keen on helping me, and sat at a nearby table, thinking that maybe you needed to order at a table. I asked a waitress if the counter was for to-go orders and she looked at me like I was a complete idiot and said yes. So back to the counter I stood. Once finally telling them that I needed to order(as if they couldn’t guess by me asking someone or by me waiting there…) I was told that all menu items come with a free slice of pie, I looked at the menu to chose a slice, and in the 45 seconds I was looking, both cashiers had disappeared! Once we had placed both orders, it had already been about ANOTHER15 minutes of waiting when I saw the same mother-daughter next to us. I asked how long they had been waiting… The answer was«too long for a sandwich». I was shocked. I thought that they were waiting on a fresh pie or something based on the time frame(it had already been 30 minutes since I got to the store). I told them that we had also ordered sandwiches and they wished us luck as they left with their order. The servers checked on other tables and purposely avoided me as I looked for someone to talk to… One literally saw me looking around to talk to someone and walked behind me to the far side of the business. No one offered to check on the food, no one apologized, and no one even offered us water. We were there for an HOUR!!! I managed to ask one of the women who’d ignored me in the beginning at the cash register how much longer she thought our food(TWOSANDWICHES) would take and she said not too much longer(no time frame) and that they were soooo busy. NOT. TRUE. I’ve worked and managed in food service. If this was her idea of busy, she should try seeing what Panera looks like at lunchtime. We FINALLY got our food after being there for an hour. When we checked it in the parking lot, we noticed that they were make-your-own wraps. I was LIVID. 45 minutes for that?! AND we were missing chips. I went inside and asked for the chips for the meals and was given one… Then the other when I told her BOTH were missing chips. They didn’t even check the bags before handing them to us. The girl behind the counter who took the order gave us each a free cake ball, but I wasn’t impressed. She was the only one trying to make amends for the awful service and RIDICULOUSLY slow speed. The only thing I can’t complain about is the taste of the food. My wrap was delicious and my boyfriend couldn’t complain about his either. My slice of pie(Buttermilk), however was wayyyy too sweet for my liking and he agreed that his slice(Chocolate Silk) was too. It’s a pie shop! I thought the pies would make me want to come back. Bottom line, I will only return if they hire more staff that is FRIENDLY and cares about the people returning. Of the 5 servers that I saw, only ONE was helpful. Don’t come here unless you want to spend hours waiting on okay pies and food you can probably easily cook at home.

We stopped here on our way to church Sunday and it was such a great find! Not busy so no wait and the food is amazing! Lots of fresh veggies in the skillet and the savory pie was so good. Highly recommend this place! Their pies looked awesome too. It was Decorated so cute inside. We will be back!

Food is pretty good here but it says open till 6 so after I took the time to haul my baby put of the car and into the restaurant to try to order something to go it was like 2:58pm. Apparently, they close the grill at 3 so they don’t take any more orders… ok. Well, sandwiches are good but not good enough to trouble coming back when they obviously clean and close their grill even before the 3pm cut off that isn’t listed on their hours :-/

My first experience with Pie in the Sky was on my birthday a few years ago, my sister called and ordered me a pie that the manager or maybe the owner delivered the same day so that I would get it that day on my birthday– really impressive service! This summer we went for lunch, but were too late(they stop serving at 3:00 I think); therefore, all we could order was pie… we tried their Bumbleberry(it was great with ice cream), the coconut buttermilk(just ok) and apple. A few days later, we returned for breakfast, I had the oatmeal and fresh fruit(both were good). Last week after seeing FB and Pie in the Sky on list of Top 10 places in Texas for pies, we returned for lunch… chicken salad is delicious(I will be going back to get this by the pound), black bean soup was good-seasoned well and I finally found it my All-Time FAVORITE pie: coconut cream! It was the best coconut cream pie!!!

This is a nice homey little place. They offer affordable food options for Conroe. I had the chicken salad sandwich and it was really good. They add suppliments like guacamole, spinach, and other good stuff which really makes it stand out. You can order the half sandwich and soup and it’s plenty a portion for lunch. I would recommend this to small groups but be careful as lunch hours get very busy.

The food was delicious, you can see that it’s fresh and cooked at the moment. They have a small menu but super yummy. I already tasted 3 different kind of pie and are amazing. I recommend this place 100% is a small place with a family warm attention!

Friendly service! I had the turkey club, it was huge! I couldn’t finish it all. My son had the burger, he said it was yummy! The potato soup was delicious! We took home an apple pie and had it with some blue bell vanilla… Momma Mia it was awesome!

Initially service is good but as the lunch hour goes on, more customers roll in and waitresses go MIA. Food was ok, ordered the Blt with side of soup to eat here and a club to go for my boy friend. Waited about 30 minutes for 2 sandwiches which I think is a bit too long since I showed up and there were only 3 other tables. Portions are good but Blt bacon was a bit over cooked. Ordered 3 mini pies at 1.50 a piece. They were yummy but fav was pecan pie. Don’t think I’ll be coming back here.

So I’ve heard such great things about the pies so when we moved in the area I was happy to find out they serve breakfast on the weekends. We have been there twice. Both times we have had waitresses that really didn’t know the menu. I’m not sure if their relatives being employed to be nice but if you are going to serve food it really helpful if they can answer simple questions. So the service was clumsy. We did liked our food. Not out of this world great but fair. The savory pie was the best(aka quiche). Ok-pie. They had a lot of different kinds. I love a good rhubarb/strawberry pie. Not often do I run into it. I’ve got it twice. Hoping for that tartness yet sweet combo. It misses the mark. Good but not heavenly. Others in our groups tried other pies with same reviews. The prices for the slices– well they are very proud of their pie. If you get what is on special it’s a small break but really more in line with what they should charge for all. Love the décor. Cool use of the old doors.

I love this place! It is a must if you are stopping in Conroe. Everything they make is delicious from breakfast to dinner. My favorite is their cake balls, I do wish the ice cream would have been blue bell but what can you do.

If you like pie, then Pie in The Sky, Co will be heaven. My four kids and I went on pi-day,(3.14.15) and had a slice each. The bumbleberry is outstanding and the peach is unbelievable. In the past we have had the cake balls(who knew that cake had balls?) and they are Delish. The service is top notch, and the décor is quite nice(see the photos!) Love this place. Haven’t tried«real food» there yet– only the dessert, but if is as good as the pie then this place will be a fav of mine.

Sorry, I just cannot do more than 3 stars for this place because it is just that… OK. Not bad, but not overly special either. The chocolate pecan and blumleberry pies were tasty and the potato soup and pulled pork sandwich alright, but we’ll not be going out of our way to get to this place. Good if you’re already in the area. My other criticism would be that the place was kept way too cold and the wait staff, while very nice, was also very slow considering how not busy they were while we were there.
