Rita’s Italian Ice

Italian ice is decent. Frozen custard is kind of bland. It definitely won’t be something I crave at night. Customer service is great!!!

This is an excellent location! Every time we’ve visited they’ve had a great selection of ice flavors and friendly helpful employees. The Rita’s app is great –You can earn free ice!

I really cannot say if it is good or not. This is the second time I have stopped in during the day (3:00 PM) and been told they are out of custard. «Next time, call ahead» or «Can you come back in 30 minutes» is not really a solution.

Delicious and great service. I had their top seller, mango gelati with vanilla custard. Real mango purée in the ice.

Great custard. Love going here on a hot summer day. Although the great flavors and many options, the service in surprisingly bad. The last 4 out of 5 times I’ve been there the employee working has been most unpleasant. They were rude and quiet. They would just nod and grunt, not even making eye contact. It was almost akward. Still a loyal customer that will be returning.

Rita’s is the best! So refreshing and yummy! Much better than ice cream in the summer. I love the Mint Chocolate Chip Italian Ice!

Yummo! I got the gelati with chocolate chip & raspberry ice with chocolate custard.
The ice was so smooth. You’d think it was icecream. And the custard was so creamy.
The regular is the perfect size. Any bigger and you’d be too full.

I love Rita’s but since moving to the Midwest, I have missed it dearly. So upon my visit to Houston, I was very excited to feed my Rita’s addiction and looked up the closest location. I happened to go in on the first day of spring and was severely disappointed to find only obscure flavors offered. The manager working stated he wouldn’t «give away his best sellers for free» and did not do much to generate a positive atmosphere for myself or other customers. Clearly he failed to take a marketing class, because despite the large store, ample seating room, and delicious custard, I was underwhelmed. The ice had chunks in it, demonstrating it had not been properly stirred, and the service left me feeling bad for taking advantage of their nationwide promotion.
Overall: great treat, bad service.

This place is great, its a great alternative for people like me who dont like ice cream and want a cheap treat its fresh italian water ice and its the best ive ever had

I finally tried this place and am so glad I did! I was hesitant because I figured it was expensive and I had never had Italian ice. I love custard so I was just going to get that, but once I tried the ice I was in love! I tried the cookie dough, sour apple and mango ice and all were great! I decided on getting mint chocolate chip ice with chocolate custard, which is a Gelati and it was perfect! It is not expensive either if you compare it to Orange Leaf and it is right on par with Culver’s. Will be back!

the only thing i dont like about this place is that i wish they kept more flavours everyday. i live in HOU, and cannot make it up here often. there have been a few times where i haven’t been able to get what i want, and am devastated!
my favourite flavour is the fruit punch, and i have it with custard. its awesome. the italian ice is really good; soft, not icy, and flavours are not ridiculously sugary.
i’ll settle for orange with custard. its like a dreamsicle, as you can imagine.

Such a nice surprise to find a slice of my PA childhood nestled in the Woodlands! I absolutely love Rita’s and this location is no exception. I thoroughly enjoyed my mango Misto… my absolute favorite! Nice, clean space and friendly, quick service.

Custard is great, Italian ice is good, overall a great place for dessert. A good place for something different than you’re typical ice cream place. (Italian ice, mixed with custard).

My 1^st time here and I love it! The female behind the counter is very friendly and the store is very clean. She was very helpful with it being my 1^st time. I will be returning!

Rita’s has delicious cold treats! Be sure to get a Gelati… any fruit flavor of the ice with vanilla custard is perfect!

My wife and I had eaten, slurped, spooned in Rita’s when we lived in PA and we loved it. This is just as yummy, though they seem to be reluctant to bring out the big gun: Lemon (which is crazy good). We love it here and will being coming back regularly.
The Italian ice is usually soft and you can shove it on in at your heart’s content. My daughter likes the sundaes a lot, and that is not even saying enough. The sundaes can come in a waffle cone which is just as delectable as the custard, hot fudge, and nuts. My son likes the Blue Raspberry and my wife and I just skim off theirs. That’s what parents do!

Storefront is not very friendly to people with physical limitations. Stairs, small doorway, small interior.
Management and regular employees are not familiar with their ingredients.
After speaking with several employees including management we were informed there were no artificial dyes or flavorings in their products. The two people in my family allergic to those unfortunately had a 4-​day reaction. Corporate informed me most of their items contain high doses of artificial dyes and flavorings.
Never go to a place that does not know what they put in their food!

Rita’s was a staple on the east coast when we lived there about 8 yrs ago. It took that long to bring one to the Woodlands and my wife and I love it! Locally owned and operated by a great family. Stop in and check them out of hit the site or Facebook page for daily flavors. Glad to see Rita’s close to home again. Welcome!
