The problems continue with Suddenlink. Internet speed this morning 07-29-20159:30am D/L 18.00 Mbps U/L .78 Mbps. Suddenlink has sent numerous emails saying they will contact me since the first post. Still waiting for the call. Consolidated has finished the outside wiring and are scheduled to do the inside work tomorrow 07-30-2015. Suddenlink your time is running short for you to remedy the problem.

The Suddenlink saga continues … Once again, we had no internet service this morning. I rang Suddenlink to report the problem. I was on hold for just under 16 minutes waiting to speak to a Suddenlink agent. During all this time I had to listen to a tape loop telling me what a marvel of speed and reliability Suddenlink is and how excited they were to take my call. Under the circumstance, it seemed they were going out of their way to insult my intelligence. Apart from whether the assertions made in the recorded announcement were true or accurate, they would certainly have been more appropriate for potential customers who still don’t know any better and are waiting to sign up for new service than for existing customers who already know the truth and are calling for the umpteenth time to complain about Suddenlink’s poor service. When I call to complain again and again and have to wait on hold for 15 minutes or more, I would prefer the tape loop to feature the sound of Suddenlink technicians and executives crying for mercy as they are pistol-whipped by frustrated Suddenlink customers. THAT would at least be soothing.

I really loathe switching to SuddenLink. Their customer service is TERRIBLE. Twice now I have trouble. First, I needed to relocate a cable modem and was told that it would be covered under the cable maintenance plan I was paying extra for. Then when the Tech arrived, he said he as not an Installer; and would not move it. He said I needed to reschdule and pay extra for that ‘service’. Second, I ordered the Texas A&M and Alabama football game on PPV. Before the game, I called their tech support to complain about the picture not being in HD. They told me they would reboot the cable box to fix it; but they didn’t reboot it. I called back right after the beginning of the game; they said the same thing and again did nothing. Then, I called back at half time. This time they told me it was not being offered in HD; and it was too late to cancel. Then I called Customer Service, who said there was nothing they would do. I am now switching from these jokers and filing a complaint with the BBB.
