Excellent stop not too far off the highway. We had the special, Ruben nachos, which were excellent as well as the French onion soup and dumpling app. Great food and atmosphere as well as service. Maybe we will return on the trip back home!

Needed a good meal on the way home from Vermont. Scored here at Covered Bridge. Great sandwich menu. Immediately made me a fan of this place. I didn’t order wings because of the incredible wings I had the previous day… this may have been the wrong move. They looked great Where I was right– Pork dumpling appetizer was amazing and great value. Also the Rocking Horse sandwich was really good. Quality chicken. Must love horseradish on this one. Wife enjoyed her Club Salad. Looked good. Huge for price. Weird that the one TV in the bar area played Robin Hood(Russell Crowe, not Kevin Costner), then transitioned to Grandma’s Boy. Daytona 500& College bball were in full effect. Hey, whatever makes your people happy I guess! Great value. Worth the stop. Would come back again all day.

It was well worth getting off the highway to have lunch on our way to the airport. Am so glad Unilocal helped me find this charming small town location with a bar full of locals watching Sunday football. Our booth overlooked the river with view of a small dam on one side and the old covered bridge in opposite direction. We were seated and brought menus and drinks very quickly. Menu includes American fare such as burgers, sandwiches and more. Also Italian, Mexican and Chinese, plus wings. Our group had BLT, french onion soup, Bridge bistro salad, with Donna’s dumplings to start. The salad was served slightly warmed with a perfect sear on the scallops, broccoli also with a light sear was super tasty. The balsamic dressing was just right and gave a nice but not over powering punch. Baked garlic cloves on the salad were also delicious. We very much enjoyed our meal and the efficient and friendly service.

Stumbled upon this place as I was headed to a wedding in Vermont. At first when we entered the town, there wasn’t much to choose from. We saw a pizza joint and this. Not sure what we were getting ourselves into, we walked pass some of their windows and saw a live band playing. The menu literally had every different type of food/cuisine… from Asian food to Italian to burgers to salads and everything in between. I was nervous that it wasn’t going to be good, but pleasantly surprised! The food actually turned out to be delicious! We opted out of dessert since we were too full. I would definitely come back if I am near the area.

Nestled next to the Contoocook and across from the world’s oldest serving covered train bridge(not in use) lies this restaurant. Friendly staff serves up a variety of menu items. I would recommend vacationers looking for something other than the chain restaurants to stop in.

Excellent food. Large menu. Great prices. Average but friendly service. Not the place to go for ambience but great for families or those on a budget liking for a nice meal out. We stop in every time we are in the area and are never disappointed

We eat here at least once a week, sometimes more. The chef is a genius and the waitstaff are all awesome. Prices are fair. You won’t be disappointed.

Stopped in for lunch today after reading good reviews on Unilocal. The reviews were spot on. We had the wonderful crab cakes(even my wife loved them, and she doesn’t usually like them at all) followed by two salads. How can salads be noteworthy you ask: anyone can make a good salad, what can possibly be great? Well, I had the steak salad, and my wife had the scallops. Both were topped with their restaurant-made Balsamic-vinaigrette, and were outstandingly delicious. The salads were very generously sized too. Service was very pleasant and attentive, and the view over the river very nice. A great time!

Fantastic! Customized a special sandwich into a delicious warm salad! Service was prompt and friendly. Hostess happily answered questions about the covered bridge viable from windows in the dining room. We were well attended to throughout the meal.

Seated quickly and noticed it was clean and cozy. Nice music, but not to loud that you can’t have a quite conversation. Limited wine selection, but lots of beers. Menu has a good selection from pub far to dinners And some Asian dishes. Our waitress was well versed in the menu and explained the specials. Always a good sign! Had the pork dumpling appetizer and it was delicious and enough for two. Our dinners were awesome and the presentation was pretty good for a place off the grid ! If they offered some fresh grated Cheese I would have been pleasantly surprised, But maybe they can work on that for next time. Overall. Very good spot. We will be back again soon!!! Table 4

Nice atmosphere. Separate bar and dinning areas, so not too loud. Dark out when we ate here so couldn’t see much out the big windows, but I bet the view is great. Right next to a river and bridge. A lot of choices on the menu. I got the Au Jus streak tips. The salad the came with it was very fresh. The tips were cooked perfectly(medium) but the cut of meat was a little grisly. The rice was very good. My wife got the sweet smokey chicken with salad and rice. The chicken was cooked perfectly. The waitress was great, super nice. Definitely will come back to try some other menu items. And to check out the view in daylight. Came back during the daytime, view of the river is spectacular.

This place probably hasn’t been updated since the Carter administration, but maybe the old look is designed to throw you off. I stopped in here with the hopes of finding something decent during a recent trip to way-the-f-up-there-Vermont. The waitress was super sweet and gave us a good amount of time to review the menu. One thing I noticed from the get go was the claim that they love to do stuff on the fly. It’s kinda nice to go somewhere and say«, listen, i love peanut butter and jelly almost as much as I love a BLT… seeing as you offer both can I have a peanut butter and bacon sandwich?» I went with a regular old turkey club on toasted rye, and the mother had some garlic chicken nacho extravaganza. The portions were ginormous and the taste was good, not a single thing off on either dish. The prices were awesome considering the amount of food received.

Have been coming here now every time we head north to VT, as it is about half way. It has been consistently good each time with a diverse and creative menu. Chinese, Italian, Mexican, American and pub fare. Its all good. they will also make special accommodations if you ask. I asked for my noodle dish spicy, and they added some homemade«dragon sauce» which put it way over my heat level tolerance but it was still good. The waitress’s are fun and sassy.
