The service was 4⁄10 and and extremely slow. The damn Raspbery Ice Tea came out 15 minutes after all the drinks. The food was extremely greasy yet had some taste. Personally, I believe they should stick to ice cream because their other stuff just isn’t working out.

A waitress spilled coleslaw all over me while walking by and didn’t even stop to apologize or acknowledge what happened. I had to call over another waitress to ask for napkins so I could clean the coleslaw off the back of my shirt and out of my hair. It was totally disgusting. I asked to speak to the manager and he was entirely useless. He handed me a crumbled up napkin, and didn’t apologize or offer us any kind of compensation for the terrible experience. I understand that accidents happen, I work at a restaurant myself. But it was handled so poorly. The waitress who spilled the coleslaw became very defensive and angry, she even aggressively tried to wipe the mayonnaise off my back. You shouldn’t be touching a customer at all, especially so aggressively. She kept scoffing, «well I didn’t mean to,» and while I’m glad she didn’t intentionally throw coleslaw at me, I would have appreciated her being a bit more apologetic, and not physically assaulting me while cleaning up the mess she made. Accidents happen, but you don’t have to be rude to us when we are already upset from being covered in someone else’s food.

I used to come here a few times for lunch when I was working across the street. It is traditional American diner food, lot of calories, grease and fat. I’ve had fish tacos, quesadilla and turkey burger. All of them were alright, slightly above average diner quality, but so are the prices. They had a lunch deal where you buy an entrée, a drink and you get a big ice cream sundae all for 12 usd, which is a good deal. One time they tried to push for this deal, but I didn’t feel like having an ice cream and the waitress looked at me like I was crazy for not getting it. Usually staff are OK, but things seem to run so slow here. Ideally I want to be in and out within 45 minutes, but it usually takes well over an hour at Friendlys. The restaurant is big, but it is always full, even at off peak hours. 90 percent of customers are very old people, I don’t think I’ve seen so many elderly at the same place anywhere else.

I am currently at this friendly’s. I just heard the manager named Tim tell one of his employees while they are taking a phone order he usually acts like he can not hear the customer and hangs up on them. I think that is real bad management to be telling employees to hang up on the people that keep a roof over his head. That is sad to know a manager does not appreciate the people patronage his restaurant. I just went here for a shake I feel bad for there customers.

It’s a usual friendly’s. Pretty good parking full of children. The staff though at this one is horrible. We had a waitress named Sandra. 1. She didn’t introduce herself like a normal waitress. 2. When she bought out the drinks she spilled soda all over us. 3. When taking our order she was barely paying attention and when my cousin was still trying to make a decision she was very snappy and impatient. 4. She didn’t respond to her own name after being called multiple times. It was highly annoying. Very disappointed. 5. When we asked about the wifi she responded«we have it. I don’t know if it’s working today». Common Friendly’s do better. Overall id give this particular restaurant a 2.5 because the food was pretty good.

The essence of Friendly’s has already been nicely summed up by another reviewer, «this place is for children, the elderly, and folks looking to eat a lot for a bargain. The food at Friendly’s harkens back to the days before people ate kale and quinoa.» Children. Everywhere. It is as if stepping over the threshold magically absolves parents of their responsibilities and a Lord of the Flies-esque scenario is played out in between the greasy booths. Dozens of tiny screaming people coated with hamburger grease and dried snot run around while their parents half halfheartedly yell at them in between mouthfuls of Fishamajig. The seniors don’t bother me so much, they just sit quietly and eat their meals. But there are always lots of them. I guess when you’re old you figure what the hell, my arteries aren’t getting younger. The food is typical American restaurant food. Fried, greasy, beige. Everything sort of tastes the same and that’s ok. The ice cream is good too. Nothing fantastic but its satisfying at the time. It’s not until you go home and realize now you will never have a thigh gap that you vow never to go back. But you always do. So why only one star? The service. I have been to this location quite a few times and the service is always absolutely horrible. If you order up at the to go window you stand there FOREVER waiting to be acknowledged. Sometimes I have been the only person there and the workers will just mill around behind the glass for several minutes before finally ambling up. Then they behave as if they would much rather be doing pretty much anything else. Which I am sure is true. Working at places like that must be tough, but that’s no excuse to treat customers like annoyances. Even when you go into the restaurant you just stand there. I still don’t know if it is seat yourself or if you should wait because something different happens every time I go. Just the other day I was there and stood up at the front at least 10 minutes before finally sitting down. A waiter walked by and asked if I had been helped and when I said no, he kept walking. No one came to the table. After another 10 minutes I got up and left. This is not a one time experience, the wait is always that bad. I expect the screaming children and greasy food. This isn’t a fine dining establishment. But I cannot excuse the service. It is reliably horrible and there just isn’t enough going for the place to make it worth while.

We went to Friendly’s last evening as a last minute choice. Very glad we did. The Cheeseburgers were excellent by any standard. Tasty and very juicy. Not the first time we have been pleasantly surprised at the food quality. We have gone to this location about six or seven times in the last six months. Once for a very good breakfast and the Lobster Rolls during August were also top notch. Last night our server Mike was wonderful and made this a pleasant dining experience. He was great ! —My first ever review !

It’s Friendlys people, how high could your hopes really be? Greasy good food, ice cream, check. Nice staff, easy parking, never crowded. Worth a try, good for screaming kids to get sugar highs.

this place is for children, the elderly, and folks looking to eat a lot for a bargain. the food at friendly’s harkens back to the days before people ate kale and quinoa. sure there are a couple of salads on the menu, but one of the salads has fried chicken on top! if you are counting calories, don’t bother coming – you will miss out on all the good times. my mother and I shared the fishamajig(embarrassing name to order, but it’s always been called that) and a BLT. each of these sandwiches come w fries but for 99cents extra you can upgrade to waffle fries or onion rings. no brainer, we did. the waffle fries were nice and crispy with the slightest hint of spice. the onion rings’ batter was perfectly thick and crunchy and the onion inside was white and didn’t seem like it had even kicking around a factory or freezer for too long. the bacon on the BLT was brittle and well done – the way I love it! the bread was a little dry, so I ditched the bread and just ate the bacon, lettuce, and tomato. the fishamajig is delish. it just is, and has been since my childhood. it is a buttery grilled cheese sandwich with a piece of fried fish and tartar sauce inside. it is salty and greasy and to be consumed seldom but what a tasty gut bomb! my mom and I wanted to share a scoop of Vienna mocha chip for dessert but we were too stuffed from all the fried. don’t come expecting gourmet. come expecting diner food with an extensive ice cream sundae menu. 3.5 stars

Came in for dinner with the family after seeing that it had been redone after years of it being ugly and subpar. Immediately after we sat down our waiter rushed over to take our order. I thought the service was going to be great, but I was sadly mistaken. Our waiter immediately started hitting on me and my sister calling us his princesses, ignoring my brother and my dad, and even touched my arm at one point. It was super creepy and unprofessional, but we stuck it out to try the food. My food and my sister’s food came out fine but my dad’s and brother’s both were completely wrong, not surprising seeing as our waiter didn’t even look at them the entire meal and instead just kept refilling my water and making jokes about princesses never being dehydrated. It was super weird and made us all uncomfortable. We won’t be back.

The food I had was OK and the service was good. Nothing spectacular. The Ice cream was really good of course. If you want something quick and cheap, this is the place.

Had lunch there yesterday, usual greasy menu items, for $ 10– they have a meal with sandwich and sunday. A drink came with it, I ordered a drink, but never got it. Today I AMSICKASHELLLLLLLLL with a violent stomach ache ! Oddly, I had a bad experience at another Friendy’s years back where I was sickashelll and it went through my mind as I ordered, but I was meeting a friend so I ordered anyway. Is it coincidence? Don’t know but I will NOTEATTHERE again. I am sitting here in agony hoping it doesn’t escalate!

Having experienced Friendly’s various menu and décor changes over the years, I actually stopped going here altogether until recently. I am happy to say they now have gotten their stuff together. Menu seems to have stabilized with the expected favorites(burgers and ice cream and balloons) and some really decent«healthier» additions, like the fish tacos — super yummy! — who would’ve guessed? — and the turkey tips salad. Can sub out broccoli for fries and that was also excellent — broccoli fresh, cooked correctly(not too mushy) and well seasoned. Service has also evened out and I am glad to say we go there regularly now. Thanks Friendly’s for getting it together!

Walked over here from the Mini Cooper dealer ship to grab a bite to eat. Its nice because if you want to eat outside, you can order your food right when you walk inside. They have registers and workers in the front to take your order. My wife and I wanted to eat inside and were seated right away. Staff was freindly and accomodating. It has been awhile since I actually ate at Friendlys but noticed you can now build your own burger. This is the option my wife and I took. Some of the options offered have a price so it can add up to an expensive burger if you are not careful. The food came out at a decent time and the burgers were delicious. We finished off our meal with ice cream. Definitely will eat here again.

This place is great in a pinch. They’re open until 10 on weekdays and 11 on Friday and Saturday(despite what google currently says). Most employees are friendly(bad pun?), the food is alright considering the price, and it’s clean.

I’m from Hawaii and am here for business. I needed a quick bite for breakfast before heading into the office and saw this place. It looked like a mini Denny’s. I had the Veggie Omelet and a side of one pancake. I was pleasantly surprised. First of all, the service was pleasant, courteous, and quick. My omelette was full of veggies. The eggs were fluffy and cooked nicely; however, you could tell it was made in some sort of mold. It sort of looked like one of those puffed omelettes you see on the infomercials. But, it was still delicious. The home fries were hot, fresh, crispy, and not drenched in oil. The pancake was just ok. Nothing to write home about. Overall, the meal was quick, tasty, and hit the spot. By they way, they offer a military discount. SUPERPLUS! Thank you for supporting the armed services. I would definitely eat here again.

Let me first start off by saying this… my expectations of an enjoyable meal were already low. I was against the ropes with hunger and since it was Memorial Day Weekend I thought I would let the kids have some crappy food and ice cream(sounds like a great parent doesn’t it). Really though, we limit eating this unhealthy kind of food and it had been at least 5 years since we last ate at a Friendly’s. Upon entering the restaurant, I noticed they had updated the décor. That made a good impression, at least they are trying. We were seated quickly since the place was empty when we arrived. After checking out the menu I wondered why people consider this a cheap solution to eating. The prices were nothing special, we could have eaten healthier for about the same price. I chose one of those create your own meal/desert. The waitress was a train wreck. She was unprofessional, pretty gnarly and just plain strange. We placed the kids’ orders and told her we needed a minute. That minute turned into about 15 and she finally found her way back to our table to take our order. Right after that, the kids’ food came out. I overheard the table next door getting the bad news that they were out of Swiss cheese. Friendly’s running out of Swiss cheese just seemed tacky to me. Our meal arrives and holy crap. I guess I didn’t pay close attention to what I ordered. I know the place is not known for it’s healthy choices, but I literally felt like they were trying to kill me with their combination of deep fried chicken, bacon, loads of sauce and buttered bread. Was it good? it was OK, but I could only eat half of it. I guess if I was 15 again I could eat like that, but not anymore. Later on when it came time to order my dessert the waitress tells me they are out of all soft serve ice cream. WTF? Hello Friendly’s you serve ice cream, that’s what you do. I was pissed. The desert I wanted involved soft serve so I had to settle. The waitress made no apologies, just laughed at her stupid self as she mumbled. Right after she left, I overheard yet another delivery of bad news. The couple to the left of us was told that their order had not gone through. They were clearly irritated. Our waitress was their waitress and she screwed up. When our dessert arrived, the waitress had gotten mine and my wife’s wrong. So… she had to go back and make the correct ones for us. We If you are still reading this review, I think it’s clear why I only gave them 1 star. All I was looking for was a meal that didn’t make me vomit with a serving staff that was competent. Instead we had disappointment from all angles. Avoid, avoid, avoid(unless you’re a teenager who can devour all kinds of crap food and not care about service.)
