My college roommate and I meet halfway in Morristown to talk, shop, eat, laugh, talk, talk, catch up and talk. Weeeee pretty much take forever to do anything because we’re so busy talking to each other. Enter: Tart & Tufo. The friendly staff allows us to sit at a table for hours without being annoyed or sending sidelong dirty«haven’t you been here long enough?» looks our way. They also serve delicious sweet* breakfast items like crepes, waffles(tons of topping/stuffing choices) and delightful drinks like cappuccinos and smoothies. It is a bit pricey, but it’s well worth it. *You’re probably wondering to yourself, ‘why not a 5-star situation, then? This review looks pretty good to me. I think I’ll try it!’(And you should!) Allow me to explain… I had a savory breakfast sandwich here once that made Dunkin’ Donuts egg & cheese on a croissant look gourmet. Word to the wise, don’t stray from what they do well and you won’t be disappointed!

Very clean and fresh. The frozen yogurt is far more traditional than the new pop up places. Fruit toppings were great. The mango-peach yogurt was a touch tart but still very good.

Went for an early lunch. We each ordered a smoothie and a sandwich. Chicken gruyère sandwich was awful, as was the bacon egg and cheese. The bacon was paper thin, flimsy, and microwaved. The smoothies were both bland and tasteless. Huge waste of $ 25. There are much better places to go in Morristown.

I read in the NYTimes that they were a fine alternative to the fast food places that surround this neighborhood. Now, I’ve learned they are going out of business. I suppose being reviewed in the NY Times doesn’t mean success?

I would say this is a 5 star Frozen Yogurt place. They serve breakfast, have good organic coffee(counter culture), have sandwiches and most importantly they have crepes and waffles for the yog! The tart flavor here is also more tame, less tart, than most so a lot of people might enjoy this more. The environment here is big and Starbucks like. Although I like the more wild, Asian, environments, it get’s old unless it’s done really well. This has a more laid back theme which is nice, and is still very modern. One advantage of frozen yogurt is health factor. At some places you can load up with toppings! The problem with this is I end up adding everything and it’s not healthy anymore. At Tart & Tufo your portions are controlled(they control the portions unlike most place that let you do your own), and because you only get three toppings you end up eating a nice, non bloating, portion. Lastly this place has variety in every area, though it lacks in the Frozen Yog flavors themselves, it comes close, and has chocolate which a lot don’t.

Great little shop. Coffee is great! baked goods are always spot on and really tasty. Service is wonderful as well. My sister and I had come to Tart&Tufo after we’d down the street at another bakery. The service in that other place left a lot to be desired, so we decided not to spend our money there. We were very pleasantly surprised with how warm and comfortable and friendly this environment was. Two thumbs up!

This place was a pleasant surprise on a not so pleasant day. Frozen yogurt always makes the stress melt away. I really loved the original flavor. I did try the passion fruit and pomegranate, which were okay to me. I would go back and try other things there as well but definitely would go back for the original. I’d like to try the food here next time.

Avoid at all costs. From the sullen, glacial service to the awful frozen yogurt, there are better options just down the street. Any street.

Ah, they have my heart and how I wish there was a location closer. Scrumptious Liege waffles that even reheat the next morning in the toaster oven. this is a piece of heaven.

First: I love this place. The staff and owners are very relaxed and friendly. The food is good(and fast). And the«lunch special» — yogurt and a half($ 7.95) or whole($ 9.95) sandwich is a fantastic deal(you even get three toppings for the yogurt)! Free WiFi, too. You can usually find me in the back. ;)

I was a huge fan of bonte, and I was quite sad that it had closed. But I am now a huge fan of tart and tufo as well. The brunch for saturdays and sundays is $ 7.95 and is a very good deal considering one waffle is about $ 4.50 or so. I remember bonte being a bit cheaper, but oh well. On to the food: We all ordered the breakfast sandwich, with the havarti cheese, tomato, and omelet, with some basil in there somewhere. You can get your breakfast sandwich on a brioche bun(which I enjoyed) or a waffle(which was also good) It was quite delicious, a bit small but fairly priced at $ 4.00. The Chai tea latte was very tasty as well. We also tried the frozen yogurt, and it was a bit tart for my taste, but it was still quite delicious, and there is a great variety of toppings and mix-ins and such. There are also not too many frozen yogurt places in the area to my knowledge, so it was quite a treat. I will go back many more times, and try their belgian waffles which I am sure are scrumptious, and remember bonte.

I am so glad this place opened in Morristown. I no longer have to travel so many miles to satisfy my wife’s craving for the real froyo(frozen yogurt), not the TCBY kind. I think thier froyo(Yogorino of Italy) is better than pinkberry’s or red mango’s. It’s creamier with just right amount of tartness. My wife loves to top it with fresh strawberries and blueberries. I like it with graham crumbs and blackberries. I also like their sugar waffles which is a carryover from Bonte. It’s like the waffle from that popular yellow truck, Wafels & Dinges, in the city. It’s perfect as a snack, like a pretzel but much sweeter. They had some chocolates in Tiffany type blue boxes and nice selection of cupcakes in the display case. I think I will try their hot chocolate next time.

We LOVE this place. The prices are very reasonable. The waffles are so yummy. They can prepare your waffle like a bacon and egg sandwich or actually make the waffle with a delicious fill-in like strawberries and walnuts or chocolate chips. They offer a Sunday brunch for about $ 10 or so of all you can eat waffles. Their vast menu also offers fresh paninis, salads, lots of different coffees, smoothies, desserts, and pettifors! The service is friendly and attentive. There’s the option to sit in a back table area, front couches, or outside. We’ve gone here twice and will certainly be back.
