I have come down to Conway for 3 years as my son attends college here. Given the hours of the restaurant, which center around weekday lunch, versus my typical weekend visit, we had yet to meet. Until today… Excellent southern food. Don’t look for healthy food here, but they have amazing fried chicken. I was not a fan of the fried corn bread, but hubby and son liked it. I tried purple beans(?) today for the first time… Had never heard of them, but loved them. Amazingly friendly staff, warm, welcoming, helpful.

I’m a little confused why people like this place. It’s about on par with my elementary school cafeteria. The rolls are good, but I’m not a fan of the fried cornbread. There is nothing healthy to eat here. You’re lucky if you can find something that isn’t fried. The parmesan chicken is ok. The fried catfish was tough and not seasoned very well. None of the food seems fresh, like it was probably cooked early in the morning and sat under the heat lamps until the lunch rush. Honestly, I’d rather go to Cracker Barrel for home cooking.
