Good food, pretty good service! It’s a must to try the biscuits!

What could have been a horrible experience became a wonderful experience thanks to the front house manager, Sean. He fixed our problem immediately and we had no other issues. The food was wonderful and our server, McKenzie, was awesome. Thank you guys! We will continue to enjoy this place for a long time!

Dropped in for lunch on my day off. I was seated immediately. Ordered the Piggie Potato with chicken. Was the greatest potato ever!!! Fast and pleasant service!

#139 We were out on a massive shopping expedition and everyone began feeling hunger pangs and we decided we better figure something out, and soon. One person in the group was demanding southern style BBQ pulled pork and sweet tea… I quickly looked to Unilocal!for some help in an unfamiliar area. Jim and Nick’s BBQ was quick to come up so I began reading the reviews and decided to give the place a call. My mommy is a vegetarian so we had to make sure she could eat at Jim and Nick’s. The hostess who answered my call was easily the sweetest and most helpful person I have ever had the pleasure of speaking to at a busy restaurant. She took the time to carefully consider each item that she thought would suit my mom’s dietary needs, making sure to point out if any vegetables had any meat products included. I knew they were busy(it was lunch time) and I really could have cared less at that point, even if we only had one or two choices because 1) if this woman’s telephone hospitality was any indicator of the service inside the establishment I certainly wanted to eat there; 2) my companion HAD to have BBQ; 3) we were all very hungry, getting to the point of becoming«hangry.» We parked right out front and walked in, experiencing one of the most spectacular BBQ smells ever! The front area had several shelves containing various spices and seasonings for any BBQ need. A gentleman greeted us in the busy restaurant and led us to a table. Crystal came right over to the table with her super cute southern accent and said something like, «Howdy y’all, how ya doin’ today?» And then she listed the special items for the day and offered suggestions. What a sugar! She exemplified southern charm. We ordered some sweet tea, fresh squeezed lemonade, a martini, and some juice, too. She brought out these little biscuits that were absolutely heavenly. They had the perfect combination of corn meal and regular flour and cheese. I cannot say they were cornbread muffins per se, or totally biscuits either. But I can say they were little muffins of sublime yumminess(even if grammatically that makes no sense, you get it). We ordered several things: Fried Green Tomatoes Deviled Eggs The Chopped Salad The Pulled Pork Sandwich Chicken Tenders Mac n Cheese Mashed Potatoes Corn on the Cob Sweet Potato Everything was amazing. The fried green tomatoes were probably my favorite part of the meal. There was also a house made habenaro sauce on the table that we tried on the chicken, and it was delicious. Crystal checked on us quite a bit, bringing us the things we needed and explaining the process of the freshly squeezed lemonade, the freshly made biscuits, etc. I am pretty sure this is what southern cooking is all about. Stephani Smiles for Jim and Nick’s Bar-B-Q ;)

I recently ate at the Jim & Nicks in the Nashville area and the food was delicious ! So I was happy to see a Jim & Nicks near my home. I was not as happy after eating there yesterday — I was looking forward to their spicy homemade sausage and it was not the same sausage that they sell in their Nashville area. The smoked wings are the same and I was sooo disappointed.-Consistency is key to success ! The food at the Conyers location was o, k, but the quality is not the same —

This was served at my friends wedding shower. I felt more like it was Northern BBQ then Southern. The flavor was your average heavy smoke like you would get from a store bought bottle. The Biscuits were not impressive, even though everyone was telling me I would love them, I did not fine them that exciting. It good for a meal, but I wouldn’t go here looking for Barbeque.

Seriously, waited 35 minutes for 6 cheddar biscuits that was supposed to take 5 mins. We never got our food and it took them another 8 minutes to give us a refund. Never had there food and now I am not interested in trying it. It is evident that they don’t have there stuff together or management is lacking.

Not bad. It takes quite a while to get your food, even when it is slow. Try the stuffed potato, it’s my favorite.

Over priced BBQ but I keep going back. I think it’s for the cheddar biscuits and the pimento cheese. More often than not I find myself ordering the BBQ nachos with all the fixens on the side.

Service was really bad in this visit. We had to ask multiple times for muffins and butter. The butter didn’t make it to our table until we were ready to pay the check. Our orders were incorrect very disappointed.

Their cheese biscuits are to die for! The pork slider is also good, but the biscuits are the best! Unfortunately, I found a piece of hair baked into one of my biscuits… Otherwise I would’ve given them 5 stars for those delicious biscuits!

I really don’t understand the negative reviews. I have never personally eaten inside the establishment. However, my toddler and I have gone thru the drive thru twice now… I have lived in Kansas City, and this place is pretty dang good bbq. The drive thru is quick as it can be considering the type of restaurant. The last time we went was better than the first– so maybe a little inconsistent but nothing to knock it for. The pulled pork sandwiches are delicious. The Mac and cheese is good. Real cheese. The kids meals are awesome, the fruit fresh. The sweet tea is inconsistent but the 1 time I had it as opposed to last time it was excellent. The fries aren’t the best but are fresh… Now, the cheddar biscuits and butter… I would drive thru and wait an hour just to order those, I could probably live off of them. Bottom line, it’s good. Great for a place with a drive thru! I will keep coming.

Over hyped and over priced bbq. The cheddar muffins they give out for free are very good, it’s actually the best thing I think they have LOL! I think you’re paying more for the fancy building they have more than the not-so-great bbq.

Best bbq dining experience in the Atlanta area. This place has award winning bbq and you taste it in every bite. The sides are just as renowned as the bbq meat. There are a variety of homemade bbq sauces to fit any particular taste buds, but you won’t even need it.

I think many of the other Unilocalers have hit the nail on the head as far as this place goes. It is good bbq, but not great. It kind of looks like a Cracker Barrel — a mom and pop restaurant, that has is actually corporate, but made to look rustic. The menu is pretty random — way more than just BBQ. I saw sandwiches, burgers, salads, etc. I would have to agree that the table BBQ sauces are on two extremes: a habanero sauce that was so hot to not even be tasty, and a very basic sauce that you could find at any Kroger. I did keep seeing references on the menu to a «Morgan County White Sauce» that I didn’t get a chance to try, so maybe that is an original item. I had the beef brisket sandwich with corn on the cob; one friend had the burger and fries, which she really liked; and the other had some sort of pork sandwich. The food was good, but definitely would have been better with cooler sauces to try at the table. I would return, if only to try the items on the menu I missed like the sausage links, bacon jam, and the Arnold Palmer. I t would be awesome if one of the Atlanta staples like Fat Matt’s or Heirloom or Fox Bros, opened an outpost in Rockdale County.

Long wait for the after church crowd lucky for me I’m getting mine to go. The place is pretty packed so I’m hoping my food is good. Get back to the house and I am greeted with some of the worst brisket ever. The mac & cheese was on-point but that was the most positive thing I could say about the food. The resturant itself looked pretty nice & the wait-staff were friendly & quick. They just have to get there food together & they will be a hit all the way around. P. S. is it only strange to me that Darren H. and myself both got the brisket & both rated the place the same, on the surface that may not seem strange but my name is Darren H. as well :-)
