Service is always average at best… they always have younger adults working here and it seems it could improve. I feel it takes longer than it needs to. Overall it’s a decent spot as it’s super convenient from my home. They have outdoor seating too. If you have a big vehicle the drive thru is a pain.

Went for our free cone. Very efficient. Slow on food orders usually. Blizzards are thick and chunky.

Alright. Came here last night. Around 9:13, with a group of friends. Their drive through open sign was still on. Pulled through and ordered 3 blizzards and a buster bar. Now, we had to go in 2 cars. I was the first car, my friends who were in in the second ordered a blizzard and then chicken strips. After hearing that one of them had ordered a chicken strips, they were then informed that they were closed. So you may see why I have given this DQ a 1. It’s upsetting that a place would just tell people that they are closed, even when they do not close till 9:30, their open light is on and so forth. Instead just inform someone that their fryers were being cleaned.

We used to go to this Dairy Queen occasionally, and I was always insulted by the small portion size. I was used to small town DQ locations where you order a «large blizzard» and the sucker is LAAAARGE. Apparently franchisees must get to choose what size their«large» is and this one seems kind of small to me. Perhaps that’s actually a feature, given I AM one of those«economy-size Americans» you’ve heard about. Anyway, as far as Blizzards go, if you can stand to call it something else, they have a better alternative just down the road three miles or so(in either direction) at Culver’s, where it’s called a «concrete mixer.» Or, if you want some real ice cream action, troll over to Anoka to Two Scoops, which is a non-chain place that will leave DQ spinning in the dust. Seriously, I’ve never heard of anyone having bad ice cream there except a friend that insisted on trying the black licorice flavor.

I love going to the neighborhood DQ for a blizzard on a hot summer day. The ice cream cakes are the stuff of legends, I love those chocolatey grape-nut thingies. :)
