Went out to catch a bite of local cuisine so we decided to go to Havanas. I had the Lechon Asado, others got chicken breast and fish in cream sauce with shrimp. I of course got the best dish while everyone else enjoyed their selection. The garlic toast that came before the meal was superb. Their habanero hot sauce was flavorful yet not scorching. The weight staff was pleasant. Taking off two stars because there were flies buzzing around and although we tried numerous times, we couldn’t connect to wifi.

I don’t understand why so many people say that this place is good and is better than other places in Miami. This place was abhorrent. The Churrasco was tasteless. I knew it was going to be bad when they gave me an extra large portion of it. The calamari was chewy and tasteless. The quesadillas were stuffed with way to much cheese. Although the service was grade A the quality of the food was dreadfully lacking. At least with my extra large portion of steak my dogs will be very happy to receive such a big piece of meat, I am still pretty sure that their kibble would have more taste then the steak. I am happy to say that I will NEVER be going back here again.

My family and I had dinner here last Sunday. First of all, they had high chairs, but not booster seats. The lighting is a little too dark for my taste. Now on to the food… The fried calamari was Terrible. I am not sure if someone spilled something on them or the oil was not hot enough to, but it came out a soggy greasy mess. We didn’t send it back though. My dad and I both ordered the churrasco. It’s tender. But the chimichurri was meh. Nothing special. Not enough garlic. Not enough parsley. My sister got the grilled chicken breast. She said it was dry. The service was good though.

Was always skeptical about this place to try it just due to the location but I’m glad I did. It’s located right on griffin road on the corner in the plaza. The food here is hands down some of the best Cuban food I’ve ever had. My boyfriend and I got the Argentina mixed grill which was a platter filled with an assortment of different meets like: skirt steak, pork chops, grilled chicken, blood sausage, and grilled sausage which chimicurri sauce on the side. Which was also served with rice and beans, plantains, and fries. This was more than enough for the two of us for the price of 45 $. They also serve you Cuban bread before you meal! Everything was delicious! The service was okay but not bad, server wasn’t really attentive to is but we didn’t mind.

We love Havanas, have been coming here for many years, my favorite dishes are the steak quesadillas, beef empanadas and the skirt steak is always nice and tender. My wife and I usually choose a wine from Spain, today we had Montecastrillo from Ribera Del Duero in Spain, DELISH! Havanas is a great restaurant, specially when you don’t want to go to a hit or miss.

I’ve been to many Cuban restaurants from Miami to west palm. This has to be my favorite yet. Brought in some friends last time I came and they couldn’t stop talking about how good the food was…(-; The mojitos… Perfect! I would give more stars if allowed. My daughter and I are officially regulars.

Went to Havana today for lunch. First time here, ordered ½ chicken filet and Vaca frita. Son ordered chicken fingers. Received food some time later and both the chicken fingers and Vaca frita were ice cold. Chicken was good temp but completely bland. Won’t recommend this place to anyone

Our family visited on a Sunday afternoon. there were 18 of us! The service was impeccable. We were seated right away and all together. Our waiter was very attentive. The atmosphere is very casual. My son asked for a Cuban sandwich(it was not on the weekend menu) and they were more then willing to make it for him. I was impressed with their willingness to make sure everyone was happy. I ordered the empanadas, one chicken one beef and the chicken noodle soup. They ok, but nothing special. The soup was a little bland. My husband ordered fried chicken breast, rice, black beans, with plantains. He said it was good… so maybe it was just me having an off day. But I thought the food a little bland. Two things I would recommend(highly) was the café con leche and the bread that is served at the beginning of the meal. I should have just ordered more of that! lol The weekend prices were a little high(over $ 10 for the 2 empanadas/soup) with most meals about $ 15 average. I would definitely give them another try just because of the perfect service.

Always fresh seafood specials and traditional Cuban favs! Great for families too! Never had a bad meal or bad bite here. Best Cuban in Davie/Cooper City area and maybe best in Broward County due to the great seafood too.

I’m a foodie and was in the mood for some Cuban food and was not disappointed. Everything was cooked to perfection and delicious. As a first time customer Unilocal pointed me in the right direction. I would give this restaurant 5 stars for the food; however, the waiter never checked on us or even made an attempt to be friendly. The bottom line… who cares… the food was amazing and everyone enjoyed their entrée. Definitely will return!

Lechon asado. 5 stars. I am from San Francisco. I can be extremely critical of food. It was the best I’ve ever had. Haven’t been impressed with other types of food out here, but this for sure was amazing. Moist, tender, juicy, firm, not overcooked. Excellent flavors. Well prepared.

Our first time here, food was amazing! Our waiter was great, all his recommendations were spot on. The sangria is a must and the best I have tasted. We all ordered the specials and they were delicious. I had the grouper with a garlic cream sauce and shrimps on top. The sauce was so creamy and rich, full of flavor. I definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting a good meal and attentive service!

This gringa who knows her Cuban food really enjoyed this restaurant. Greeted with a smile, we had excellent service and an overall enjoyable experience. The food was very very good. The croquetas were fatties and cooked to perfection. The lechon asado was a good as home made I’ve had before and the vaca frita was outstanding. Our server was polite, knowledgable and always kept an eye on us without hovering. My boyfriend’s water glass never made it to empty. Very impressed. Will come back soon.

I came here with a friend, who had the ceviche and bistec de palomilla. We both had a mojito. Because it was a dinner menu, it was moderately priced at under $ 50. And more importantly, everything tasted great! Our server was also very attentive, and I value a place highly on their customer service.

Really tasty dinner. My aunt suggested this place to have a family dinner, party of 8. Friendly wait staff and manager/owner is there too make sure things go right. I noticed lots of babys in high chairs here and families. They bring garlic Cuban toast on the table it’s really good what’s not to like about fluffy crunchy Cuban bread toasted with garlic butter?! We asked for more;) My aunt ordered the Tostones. They came out in tostones cups with little shrimp and Creole sauce(salty for my taste). Also ordered the calimari it came with a tasty tomato onion sauce, big portion. The plantain chips were ok my cousin said they were usually better, pretty much homemade. Last minute I put in an order for chicken quesadilla. Very good! Large chunks of grilled chicken breast, red onions, everything you would want in a quesadilla. they serve with their own Quac which is so good! The Pico de gallo or salsa is homemade too with pieces of jalapeño –makes me happy. I love spice My order came. I pretty much tasted it, and put it to-go I was stuffed. I got the Vaca Fritta it’s crunchy from frying it, pulled beef and onions and really good. From the Unilocal pics I knew I wanted the broccoli and Brown rice. The broccoli is huge, there were many comments made to me like«I ordered a tree»…ha. My cousin ordered the Bistec de Palomilla, which is a punted thin tender steak. Fries and rice as her side. the fries are fresh and really good! They even put a spice on the fries which kick it up a notch for me! I think I might have to come by– Just to get the fries one day, when I want delish fries.yum. A couple other 2 ordered the Churrasco steak. It was very tender not juicy and not overcooked more like medium rare. delicious flavor. Another 2 people ordered the Bistec Empanizado. Tender steak gets the breaded and pan-fried treatment. Both couldn’t finish the huge steaks! The black beans that come with the Rice was very well seasoned, flavorful. Mine was more saucy than the pics of other people’s black beans mound. The plantains I tried were really good too, fried to perfection not overdone or burnt. Im def coming here again. Big portions, yummy food, good service. My husband really liked it too and says 5 stars
