First and foremost the service here is Amazing. Our waitress was super polite and very friendly. She deserves a 5 star alone. She was very busy serving 5 tables and taking payments, playing cashier. She did it all this with a legitimate smile and great personality. The inside is very inviting Not the outside. Inside the place is very clean and decorated nicely. The outside needs some upgrades. The parking lot and location seems a little scetchey. But… go inside and have a bite. Inside has that Mexico/​American feel. I give it a 4 star.
The food was just above average. About a 3 and half to a 4 star… Like most Mexican food restaurants the proportions are very fulfilling.
All in all if your on that side of town and have a Mexican Craving stop in and enjoy!!!

We are from Texas and this place was good. We had combination plates and tasted several items. The ground meat in the tacos and enchiladas was flavorful. The chili rellano was prepared in a new way that we have only seen here in the northwest. We are use to grilling the poblano pepper to sweat it and removing the char and stuffing it. These are rolled in a thin crêpe stuffed and cooked. Great flavor and tasty. The fish tacos were good but I wanted a more flavorful sauce under the fish. More cilantro lime cream sauce would be nice. The Fish was grilled light and perfect moisture no dryness. Huge over stuffed burritos. Great salsa and over the top guacamole which is usually how we judge a good Mexican restaurant Hummmm… have I mentioned the margaritas?
Wonderful tasty stout and even the blackberry margarita was surprising delicious enough to order a second one
Great service and value for money. We are passing through or we would return here over and over again.

Margaritas in Coos Bay looks to be your standard low budget Mexican fare, however it is so much more.
My husband and I have become regular customers here over the last 3 years. The food is simple and delicious. The food is always excellent and this place (appropriately) have the best margaritas I have had on the Oregon coast. They are strong, yet still delicious, and they have a plethora of specialty margaritas to choose from.
The owner is very friendly and kind. She sends my husband on the house shots whenever she happens to be in the restaurant while we are there.
The only complaint I have for this place is one of the servers. She’s not very friendly or professional and you will receive lackluster service with her on duty.
However if any of the regular servers happen to be on shift while I the restaurant you will be seven quickly, and your food will be fresh.
The salsa is also delicious btw and the beat home made salsa on the Oregon coast. I highly recommend you give this place a chance, however if you see a red headed waitress on shift, maybe try another time.

Our dinner party gives Margarita’s 12 thumbs up!!! Amazingly delicious find in Coos Bay — not your typical tex mex place at all. It’s so hard to decide between all the delicious options on the menu, and so many seafood choices true to the location on the Oregon cost. Dishes like Enchiladas with Dungeness Crab, seafood burrito, carne asana and prawns, halibut in garlic butter — it’s endless. The fish enchiladas were amazing (one of the house specialities) and all six of us thoroughly enjoyed our generous plates and ate as much as we could. The salsa is spicy — so be forewarned — but delicious. If you want Mexican food in Coos Bay — don’t miss it! Unusual and good, we all would definitely return!

Stopped by during the Holiday weekend & had a fantastic evening! It was a bit busy but that didn’t stop the waitress from smiling the whole time. Food was delicious & I even went in on one of the big Curaçao margaritas! Best Mexican Food in town!

I really enjoyed the seafood burrito. I love seafood and I love burritos — never thought to have them combined but the result was amazing. I ate every last bite!

Well, a few months ago, this place was our favorite place to eat. Apparently, they have changed cooks, because now it is no bueno. Makes us sad but we won’t go back.

Friendly and quick service.
Order a Cadillac margarita, pour the shot that comes with it inside your drink (I was a rookie).
Really good cabbage that comes with your chips and salsa. Tapatío on hand (because it really matters). The guacamole is amazing here.
This is not a taco destination, this is more of a traditional meal time restaurant. I played it safe with a quesadilla which was enough food for an adult, even though it’s listed as an appetizer.

The food is good, maybe a little bland. Just put salsa on your meal and your good to go. The margaritas are huge and very good. The chips and salsa also came with a side of cabbage which was unexpected, but yummy! Overall, we would eat here again.

my chicken tostada was good. nothing over the top. the guac was really good.
hubby’s ground beef enchi and taco were alright. rice was a bit bland, and he thought the same of the refried beans.
the gal working the restaurant who took our order, served our meals and took care of our bill was awesome. she was cheery, knowledgeable of the meals and quick.

This place has gone down hill. The beef nachos were super soggy and were hardly edible. The service had gone down hill as well. Last week the waitress took it upon herself to give her self a hefty tip from my debit card. When I called her out on it the next day I got a bull sh** story.

A one star rating doesn’t capture our experience at this place. We waited at least 15 minutes after being seated for the server to take our drink order. Then we waited over 20 minutes for our food. We also had to chase down the waitress to get our check. Then she proceeded to complain and blame other customers for our wait.
The food was actually decent when it finally came. Another important thing to note is that this used to be a Taco John’s and has been converted to a sit down restaurant. They should have kept it a fast food place, the service would certainly have been better.

Margarita’s offers authentic Mexican cuisine at a fair price. Delicious food, great atmosphere, excellent service, and very clean! They even give you a sweet little treat at the end of your meal. Very good! Will definitely be back.

I ve eaten here twice now and had great experiences each time. Very friendly service and a minimal wait time. Great food that was served hot. Haven’t tried the margaritas yet so I can’t comment on those, so hopefully next time.

The service I received here was incredible. Huge smile, way nice, and super helpful in deciding what to order. I got an enchilada and tamale with rice and beans. OH MY HEAVENS. The beans were soooo amazing!!! The rest of my meal was a little too mild for me but I put a spoonful of their salsa on my meal and that fixed it up. The salsa was SPICY HOT so be warned! I also enjoyed a large margarita and it had me tipsy by the time I was leaving. Haha! It was so flavorful and could definitely get you in trouble. My husband ordered the special which was a chicken fajita type meal. He thought it was good/​okay. Overall, the place was a little too mild/​bland but they definitely have a great menu and I’d definitely go back. Also, if anybody knows how to make beans like theirs, please let me know! Normally I’m the type to skip the beans but don’t make that mistake here!

Awesome, food was fast fresh and seasoned well. We wanted Mexican and went on Unilocal,the recommendations were correct. Will return next time thru!

Went there for the first time, great food, margarita and charming atmosphere. We’ll be inviting the neighbors next time we go.

I found this place off of Unilocal and i have to agree with the reviews. Love the atmosphere, staff was awesome, food was fantastic, close to my hotel and the margaritas are yummy! Definitely glad we tried it. We had the cheese cryspy, chicken enchiladas and cheese enchiladas they were so good. Chips are fresh and they bring it with salsa and a cabbage slaw which was amazing! Great service tasty food killer margaritas.
We ordered vegetarian fajitas with spicy Salsa. The service was quick.

The pico de gallo is five stars in itself. I asked the server if I could get the recipe. Apparently it’s top secret! Ya, it’s that good.
I got the lunch special chimichanga with rice and beans for $ 6.50. Good portion size and everything was tasty. The margaritas looked amazing but I can’t start drinking at noon so I had to pass.
Will return as often as I can.
