Small dog park located in the Copiague area. We came here for the first time this past weekend on what was probably the coldest and windiest day of the season so far. The pup was antsy and wanting to run around and we are in an apartment and don’t really have a backyard, so we came here. There are two separate areas for small and large dogs. Both areas are fenced in and on the smallish side. When we arrived, there was a large pit bull in the small area. The large dog area had a huge mud pit in it, so I guess they were trying to avoid that area. The dog/owner was friendly, but they were leaving as we were entering. We only stayed maybe 15 minutes until the wind was too much. We’d come back, but the area, although clean, is smaller than some other dog parks like the one in Massapequa and in Blydenburgh. But it’s conveniently located, so I am sure that we will be back. Note — no children under the age of 12 are allowed in the off-leash areas. Woof!

My first time visiting the dog run and it was great for my smallish dog. It wasn’t super big but that’s was OK for me. Since I haven’t been to a lot of dog runs, I don’t have a lot to compare it to, but my dog had a good time and that’s really what mattered. Good parking like Bill M. said. The bathroom happened to open when I was there and that was conveniently located. The water wasn’t working which was disappointing but I always bring water anyway. They’ve since added a bench in the small dog area. I would definitely come back.

Not best dog run on the south shore but not the worst. Things it has going for it: — Poop bags provided — Plenty of parking — Has water available — Has 2 separate runs(big and small dog runs) Things it has against it: — Bathrooms(for humans) near parking lot aren’t always open — No shade — Limited seating in large dog area and no seating in small dog area — Dirt ground cover Not a bad run on the south shore, but there are better nearby(Oyster Bay Dog Park). Does are not allowed in this park except the dog run and its parking lot. Must be a town of Babylon resident to enter park in the summer. Dog runs/parks I have been to so far:
