I’ve lived here 20 yrs I’ve been to this restaurant over the years from time to time. Most of the town goes to mi Cocina but I think the place blows it away. I just went tonight and had a couple of the specialty dishes the pork rib plate and the chicken stuff with poblano. They were great! I’m going back more often now I never really liked Ana Mia’s and thought it was way overrated to expensive and marginal food 7 salsa is much better food with a lot of specialties!

So many better places for Mexican food. Went tonight and ordered the chili relleno and was very disappointed. I never send back food but I had to this time. The breading was mushy and the chili looked and tasted old. Our food came out very quick which would have been great if it had not tasted like it was microwaved. We have been here before many years ago and loved it. Not sure what happened.

Just FYI, this wonderful location on Denton Tap has closed. They will have a restaurant on MacArthur. We will miss them on Denton Tap so very much!

We frequent this location weekly. Food has always been flavorful, hot and on point. They have a very good happy hour and their chips & salsa is the best around Coppell & Lewisville. Staff is always attentive and friendly. Location is always clean. Restrooms can use some sprucing up. The bar can use a facelift. Food and drinks are priced fairly. Their soups are good, avocado chicken salad is awesome and for those with a big appetite should try the Parillada, shrimp, chicken and steak fajitas with all of the sides.

Very good to introduce picky kids to Mexican foods. We came here at a «brunch» time of the day and it was empty, but by the time our stay hit noon, the place was packed! My children, of course, had the most«American» thing on the menu, a rolled pancake«burrito» stuffed with butter and syrup, with home fried potatoes, scrambled eggs and bacon on the side. They really enjoyed the complementary chips with the«not too spicy» tomato salsa. I had the sizzling fajita dish which came to the table in the pan which I thought was great presentation. My dish came with 4 tortillas and the filling separately, in the pan, so I was able to let each of my two children try one fajita and keep the other two to myself! Even after divvying up my plate like that I still had SOMUCH fajitas left in the pan, I could easily have made another 3 fajitas. This place definitely doesn’t skimp on he amount of food they give you, even my children’s plates were huge! Makes for great leftovers!

Good chips and salsa. I usually do lunch and usually get the torillas soup, which I think is good(I only get this at one other restaurant). I am not into tex-mex but everyone I go with has a signature dish they order and all say that its always good. Nancy’s special, Tinga empanadas, crispy chicken enchiladas, tortilla soup, and of course margaritas. Parking is shared with other businesses so at lunch its a fight for the fittest. The staff is nice and always offer for me to have a tea to go when we are done. I worth trying at least once.

Pretty nondescript and unimpressive; I think I’m unlikely to convince my fiancé to try it again since he liked Anamia’s better and would probably rather keep trying to find a place he really digs.

Seven Salsas is my favorite mexican food in Coppell, food is good, and it’s really quick. There always people there, but never a wait. My favorite dish there is the Pollo Poblano. The avocado sauce they use on it is great. I know Coppell has it’s fair share of Mexican food, and while I frequent all of them, I always seem to be in a hurry, and end up here.

Not the greatest Mexican restaurant, but it will do in a pinch. I do enjoy the salsa bar, but the food wasn’t anything special. They do offer lunch specials.

I normally am forced to go here when my parents find a coupon or have a certificate. I would rather go to Anamia’s. The food is okay… nothing special. Now I do give them a few stars for their happy hour margaritas. Wow they are so good and so strong. About their food, there really isn’t anything I can or would suggest to get. one time a friend and I called Anamia’ s to see how many avocados they put in their table side guacamole vs Seven Salsas. Anamia’s put 2 more avocados than Seven Salsas… and I believe the price at Seven Salsas is either the same or more. I think this spot is good for HH and chips and salsa. That’s about it!

i came here w/my co-workers for a friday happy hour! i’m always down for a happy hour! lol $ 4.75 margaritas… the glasses were large… but the taste lacked! i’d rather be served in a smaller glass & taste the alcohol! the guacamole was really good… queso lacked flavor… service was decent! this was out of my way to not have a good drink!

I guess I should be grateful. The cheese. The spices. The perfectly grilled skirt steak. But I never imagined the darker side of perfect Tex-Mex: that its siren song could hold my tongue hostage so. This restaurant was so satisfying on so many levels that now I have to drive 45 minutes from Fort Worth every time I have a hankerin fer perfect Texas-Mexican. The«Rellenado de Res» is a delicious skirt steak stuffed by Anaheim peppers and cheese topped with creamy queso. If you have the means, I highly recommend it. It’s so choice. Beautiful décor. Helpful staff. Nice ambiance. Drink specials. And by FAR the best salsa I’ve had in recent history.

Eh, it was alright. When you walk in, you can’t really tell, at first, if you are supposed to wait or seat yourself. The food was ok, but I don’t think the quality was worth what we paid. We got the flautas as an appetizer and they were more like taquitos, which I like, but I would rather have flautas. Our entres were alright, but I have had better. I don’t feel like some of the menu descriptions accurately describe the meal and they wouldn’t let me get mole sauce on my enchiladas. I don’t want just a mole chicken… I tried to ask but he said that the enchiladas could not get the specialty sauces which I found silly. Overall, it was meh. There are certainly better places out there… including the Anamias down the street!

I’ve been here several times, and unfortunately each visit has been a little worse than the previous. The chips used to be served with a small amount of each of the restaurant’s seven different salsas automatically. Then on a subsequent trip, they had started doing that only on request. Now as of my visit last night, I discover they are charging for each individual salsa other than the standard, bland, tastes-like-it-came-from-a-jar salsa that all Mexican restaurants serve. Perhaps the restaurant should be renamed«Seven Salsas, But Only If You Feel Like Spending About 12 Bucks For Them». Seriously, the seven salsas sampler was a perfect gimmick to get people talking about the place, and give them a reason to return, or tell others about it. Since my last visit, the menu has been changed to a single, rigid, laminated sheet. Unfortunately, in the process they managed to make it more confusing. There is no focal point on it, and it takes a pretty fair amount of work to read it with the very dark colored background it has. There are far too many similar sounding dishes on it, and I ended up making my selection based on sheer frustration rather than having seen something I really wanted. Now, on to the actual food. I ended up ordering a combination plate, consisting of a chicken taco and a crispy chicken enchilada. The taco shell was actually pretty good. It was crispy, and light, and didn’t get soggy from the shredded chicken. That’s a good thing, because the chicken was on the greasy side, and drops of oil ran down my fingers while eating it. The chicken was also quite bland, lacking any detectable seasoning. The crispy chicken enchilada was a disaster. An enchilada, by definition, is a filling wrapped in a corn tortilla. One would assume that a crispy enchilada would be the same, but perhaps briefly deep fried to give it its crispiness — which would technically make it a taquito, by the way. What I was served, was in a flour tortilla that had been deep fried. This made it either a somewhat large flauta, or a very small chimichanga. In either case, I took one bite of it and decided it was destined for the bin. The tortilla was overcooked, and felt like eating a spoonful of flour. It was eventually(see my notes on the service) sent back and exchanged for a proper chicken enchilada with sour cream sauce. The replacement enchilada arrived and looked quite good. The sauce was abundant, and it was hot and there was some nicely melted cheese on it. The filling was the same bland shredded chicken used in the taco. The sauce had flavor, but for the wrong reason. It was overloaded with(presumably) lemon juice to the point the citrus overpowered the natural acidity of the sour cream. It was edible, but the balance was way off. Service The service started off on a bad note. The restaurant has an entrance both in the front and back. i entered via the back entrance, which leads to the dining room by way of a short hallway. Despite pausing upon entering the dining room, and looking at a small group of staff members nearby as if to say, «where do I go now?», nobody offered assistance. Eventually, I made my way on my own to a hostess stand near the front door and was seated. A server followed promptly and took my drink order and returned with my beverage. Due to the menu’s inadequacies I mentioned above, I had to ask the server to return not once, but twice while I was trying to decide what to order. Once I ordered, the food came out quickly. Almost too quickly, in my opinion. Unfortunately, the server did not return to the table to see if I required anything additional. By this point, I had gotten around to tasting the crispy«enchilada» and decided there was no point in eating it. I began to look around the dining to find my server, but she was nowhere to be seen. I looked directly at no less than 5 front of house staff, including a hostess, several servers, and a man who appeared to be a manager, yet not a single one of them came to my table, or made any effort to send my server over. I was able to finally flag my server down after about five minutes of blissful ignorance from the rest of the staff. When I told her I had expected a crispy enchilada, not a flauta, or chimichanga, she tried to inform me that it was indeed an enchilada, irrespective of its flour tortilla wrapper. It was when I told her I knew that enchiladas are prepared with a corn tortilla that she offered to replace it with a standard enchilada. One redeeming factor is that the server seemed genuinely friendly, and did offer to replace the enchilada before I had to ask for it to be done.

The local mexican join… Can’t really go wrong. It’s not like people drive from the opposite side of the city to this Seven Salsas, but rather it’s for the locals… If you haven’t been, go. IF you have been and didn’t like it — go again, you can never judge something fully the first time around.

Service — 2 Stars Food — 4 Stars Queso — 1 Star It was a night of mystery for our five hungry diners. The first mystery was where to eat on a Saturday night that wasn’t too crowded. Since the three woman on board said they’d «eat anywhere» and steadfastly refused to offer any opinions or even indicate the kind of food they were interested in, the second mystery was why there wasn’t a family homicide to start off the evening.(Men, you know what I’m talking about, don’t you?) The third mystery arose when I asked the waiter why this place was named 7Salsas? He just smiled and shrugged. I ask the hostess, she just smiled and then her face went vacant. There was nothing on the menu or the walls to explain. I had to go to their website for the solution. They serve a different salsa each night of the week, along with their«Big Red» salsa, served warm and every night. The next mystery we had to solve was The Case of The MIssing Waiter. But since the place was only half-way full on a Saturday night, the usual suspect, Too Many Tables, was obviously innocent. The jury is still out on it, but my own chief suspect was Mr. Incompetent. Now as to the food, it was plentiful and very tasty. Definitely Tex Mex. Dave and I split the order of Paridillas.(three kinds of fajitas, shrimp. chicken and beef with all the fixings. We could barely consume it all in one sitting. Our vegan enjoyed the Vegetable Quesadilla and the remaining dining duo made do with the Mango Chicken Salad, which was sensational with its sweetish dressing. As to how a lamentably lame, sad and bad, yet watery bowl of queso. got served along with what was overall an excellent meal — well that was a mystery, too.

I met some friends here for lunch. They spoke highly of it, so I imagine my experience was a fluke. Honestly, I hope it was a fluke, because the quality was embarrassing. I ordered the soup and salad lunch combo. The waitress was a little unattentive, but I am generally forgiving of that when it’s a rush hour like weekday lunch. However, when my plate arrived, I was horribly disappointed. The soup looked like it was served in a salsa bowl. It was a tiny serving. If it was 8oz, I’d be surprised. That wouldn’t have been the end of things if the salad was more than lettuce leaves thrown on a plate(she forgot my dressing). It was a meal sorely lacking substance. While my friends had enchilada and taco combos for the same price, I had a splash of broth with cheese and a pile of leaves. Eventually, we flagged down another waitress and got the salad dressing, which upgraded the salad to leaves smothered in spicy ranch. Needless to say, it was regrettable. Eying the plates around me, it was clear I should have ordered the enchilada or, heck, anything else on the lunch menu. But why even offer something you’re not even going to make with half an effort?

A friend and I went to lunch here today… not that great. I had some cheese enchiladas with fajita meat on top…(there is a name for them, but I cant remember, #16) they were ok… I only got 3 little pieces of beef. It had a chinese food flavor… especially with the rice. My friend got the chimichanga… yes it was giant, but she said it was sort of boring with no flavor. Im going to vote no on this joint… Plus the server we had was really weird. He brought our drinks — then asked«Did you want to get anything to eat?»… we were in a booth! Not at a bar or anything… it was very bizarre. I didnt tip him very much. Anamias is much better. and right across the street.
