Texas Gonstead Chiropractor

I used to go to the place but my pain and allergies just keep coming back again. I’m not sure if the adjustments really worked or if I was just a special case. I’m going to be very frank with you about the secretary. I wish she would answer the phone more politely instead of instigating that I’m some sort of imbecile that is calling for fun. I called in, told her my name and she said that she doesn’t have any recollection of me nor record. I remember going in twice a week where she was familiar with my face as well as voice. She’s very unprofessional but if it was someone who was a Korean elder, she would bend over backward for them.
I just want to be treated as an equal, is that too hard to ask for?
Other than the service, there was an instance where my life was in danger, my regular chiropractor was not there and so I had to get it done by another chiropractor. He did adjustment on my back but I felt normal like it was a usual adjustment. After I got to work, I had trouble breathing; my chest felt like it was caving in. When I called in and told the secretary about it, she said, «it’s normal to feel that way but if you feel that you need to come back and you can.» I tried to endure the pain and gasp for air for almost a good 1 hour but I reached my limit. I called saying I was coming and the secretary, again rudely said that I would have to wait. When I came in, I wasn’t taken care of first and they said that I had to wait for the next opening spot, by that time I was literally gasping for air, like a fish gasps when out of water. The chiropractor finally saw me and by that time I was hysterically crying and couldn’t breathe, the chiropractor made adjustments to my back again and finally I could breathe. He said to me that «It’s because your back is so messed up that you couldn’t breathe.» No apologies. No, are you alright? No, it’s going to be okay? Absolutely nothing. Then the next appointment, my regular chiropractor said that he heard I had an «episode» that last time with my back. I knew then that they were not the place for me.

I had my first chiropractic adjustment back in January for my chronic neck and hip joint pain. Both doctors in Gonstead are very professional and kind. My pains are all gone and now I see them for other medical issues other than backs and neck pains.
