Ordered a car seat online where it clearly said the item was in stock! Liapela called the next day saying it wasn’t in stock and I’d have to wait a week. Finally a week later was called to be told they didn’t have the color but another store did. They then E-mailed me to tell me it was a mistake instead of calling, which is beyond unprofessional. Wasted a week and a half for the product to have to order the car seat elsewhere and wait some more. All while I have no car seat for my daughter, guess we’re stuck at home! Clearly, they have no clue what items they have in stock or available or what they are even doing. hopefully they cancel my order like I requested!

Don’t waste your time with this store. If you need to see a product in person before you purchase it online from a different company, this may be a good option but I have had nothing but problems across the board with my order. The only reason I ordered a crib here and not online as I had originally intended is because they said they had it in stock. They did not, it was just as backordered here as it was at every online retailer, they just didn’t realize it until I started calling to follow up on delivery every month for 3 months(«Oh, it will be here the 15th of next month» I heard 3 times). They have no inventory management(how do you not know when a product you ordered from a vendor is coming in when I contacted a similar retailer and they could give me the exact information on where and when an item was being delivered from the same manufacturer as I ordered the crib from). They have no customer service — I was offered 10% off my order originally for the inconvenience, but that turned into free delivery and assembly(so, $ 50) instead. I almost wish I had cancelled the order and waited an additional 2 weeks for the crib just to have denied this company the order, but my baby was already born and I was ready to be done with his nursery(ordered beginning of May, won’t be delivered until 7⁄30 if I’m lucky. They already cancelled the delivery once because the delivery ahead of my time slot had complications with the furniture. AYFKM?) The Coral Gables store handles online orders and they are awful. The Hallandale Beach store is not much better. I walked around visibly pregnant and looking at various items and not a single person approached to see if we needed help. We registered and purchased 99% of our items elsewhere. I prefer to shop local, but this store does nothing to help their case. If you want a great store to order modern items, are PHENOMENAL. But then again, they don’t have the latin/Miami mentality. How this company stays in business is beyond me ESPECIALLY considering the price point of their items. You pay through the nose for bad customer service — yeah, I don’t think so. Never again.

I had been to this story once before BUTLEFTRIGHTWAY do to lack custom services. Just like the review below R.S. I had bad experience with the sale team. However, I gave it other try as many of my friends told me they have great products. This time thank God BEATRIZ(older lady was working). She was extremely amazing, kind and knowledgeable with the items in the store. I finally purchased I got stroller made Italy, unique baby hamper and beautiful rocking chair made Canada. And to my surprise prices were standard. Even got 10% off due to the stroller was the last one and was on the floor. They even have guy to help you put everything in your car. I will be coming back to support local store!!!

I’ve been largely unimpressed with both Liapela locations in Coral Gables and Halendale Beach. While their selection of high-end baby products is not bad, they lack severely in the customer service department. They have a great concept, catering to the modern parent who is willing to pay more for unique and natural products. I love the new, trendy and innovative brands that they carry. However, I believe that if you are going to pay so much more for some of the same products you can buy online or at other less fancy retail stores, you should receive great, if not excellent, customer service. This is certainly not the case. What I have found though, is that their staff can be hit or miss. Their Coral Gables store is what you would expect of any retailer located in the Miami area. That means little or no service even when you ask for it. And even then, they will help you begrdugingly and with attitude. At the Halendale Beach store, where you would expect more considering the location, I have received decent service from some employees. However, there are others who are not so nice. The fact is that I have been discouraged from buying some of my big-ticket items like a stroller and furniture from here because they were not willing to provide the support we needed. It is sad to say that I have tried really hard to support small retailers like this because they are a great alternative to the big box stores who generally only have a few high-end brands of baby products. For the time being, I will be shopping at other local baby boutiques with much better service.

It is very sad to see that they have such a nice store at a great location but everything turns sour when you ask for help from a unknowledgeable, unwilling sales person. It is this latin speaking old man that did nothing but have a sxxt face. It is our first child and we don’t know much about anything. So its natural to want to try the strollers, and get a feel. He just stood there watching us struggle to operate the strollers and almost pushed us aside to put it back because he was afraid we would break it. Not to mention his comment about how indecisive we were because we kept looking at the different ones. It was the most uncomfortable shopping experience I’ve ever had. I became a Unilocaler because I feel compelled to share my experience. Good luck with your business if you treat your customers like some type of disease. Go to genius jones instead. You’ll be much better off.
