Just a note: please correct closing time on Unilocal.Passed by last nite around 10pm and was told the kitchen was closed and last call for alcohol. Ended up paying for parking for no reason. A bit annoying… Will be back though and update review then.

The food is excelent. I love the cauliflower. Heath, Craig, Amanda, Nicholas, and Katya know their wines. Chef Tanner is an excellent chef as well as his sous chefs. I have had a couple parties at Uvaggio.

Uvaggio is the spot! I would recommend this place to anyone time and time again. Apart of me wants to keep the secret to myself and closest friends… Uvaggio is located in a great spot on Miracle Mile and everyone that works there is a Sommelier, how cool is that?! They know their wine! They have a great happy hour M-F, and even on Saturday’s. They also have private wine tastings on Saturday afternoons. It doesn’t stop at their wine, their food is delightful also. Their bacon, hummus dish, cauliflower, and so much more! Check it out, you will not be disappointed!

One of the biggest international wine list in town, plenty of good options below $ 100 and a few great ones at over $ 100. The 2 main countries are Italy and France, followed by Spain. Unfortunately I could only find 1 option from Napa and it was a $ 425 bottle of wine. We order a 2007 Viña Pedrosa from Rivera Del Duero which was served at the right temperature using a decanter. Their wine glasses are decent. For appetizer a plate of 3 cheeses and an order of olives, they explain where the cheeses are, how they paired and more… Very good service and atmosphere! Will definitely be back again…

All I’ve been hearing is that Miami is finally starting to have a good food and wine scene. After spending my prime adult years in NY. I was a little hesitant to believe Miami could be any good. But I was wrong. It’s here. The food scene is roaring into life. And Uvaggio is a good wine bar to start with for the night. In typical Miami fashion. You can drink wine while enjoying some people watching. The selection of wine is definitely awesome. Every bottle I had was excellent and paired well with all the food we shared between our group. Definitely a great date spot worthy of bringing someone special to show off your knowledge of the Miami nightlife. Great job!

I don’t know enough about wine to rate this place based on that. I actually ordered the bubbly cocktails for happy hour when I visited and they were both very refreshing. We tried the charcuterie plate and the naan with 3 dips. Both were delicious but not satisfying enough for a meal. I had wanted a cheese and charcuterie plate but that only was an option with a bottle of wine. The dips were all very tasty but the best part of the dish was the naan. The server came to offer us more when we were out of dip, if only we had know there was an option to get more. They have live music outside most days of the week. The place is small, making it good for an intimate date or a few friends.

The service was very nice, with a very interesting selection of wine, there was no Malbec so we decide to give a chance to a turkish wine, it was amazing and give us the chance to discover something new . The food was good, it’s a small menu but you can definitely find your happiness, my only reason for the 4* review is because the price are a little bite to small for the price . We will go back anyway.

I am Happy to recommend Uvaggio, a true gem in coral gables, friendly and knowledgeable service, excellent food and a great selection of wines. Give it a shot!

Wow! What a great place! 5 stars for sure! Impeccable service with staff that are knowledgeable and have great suggestions. The selection of wines is great! I have never been disappointed. I wish I could fit into my routine coming to this place at least weekly. Food is great and so creative. So different from your regular tapas, and full of flavor. Everything is good, from the appetizers, dinner options and dessert. Last time I went was a Wednesday night and they had live music. It really was the perfect! It’s great for a romantic night or for a fun wine day with your friends. So versatile!

A wine bar is just a wine bar. However this place far exceeded my expectations. On V-day me and the Mrs. attended a wine tasting event that featured five different types of wine along with a chocolate pairing. Needless to say we were so blown away by the presenter’s knowledge of wine and how the chocolate changes the way the wine tastes. Oh, to add a twist one of the wines actually would up to be a porter beer. Clever! This event, along with similar ones is held every Saturday from 5−6pm at a cover cost of $ 30 p/p. If you’ve never done an indepth wine tasting I strongly suggest doing it here. Conveniently, this event rolls right into their happy hour(from 6−7pm) and their specials are amazing. Try their«Octopus Naraja Agria» served with potatoes and jicama and Roasted bacon in a jar served 3 ways– bourbon pecan, chipotle bbq and garden herb six. Absolutely phenomenal. All in all — very pleased with this cozy place. Will certainly be back for wine tasting, happy hour and more!

I came here on Monday night, attracted by the promise of live jazz in an intimate and small enviroment, I chose an outside table, right in front of the musicians. The place is small, just 2 outside tables in barrels, and they don’t have so many food options, but they have plenty of wines and you can choose the tasting size of 3 oz and enjoy many of them. This is a place to enjoy wine, music and chat with friends or with your special person. The prices are high but the quality and amount of the food was good, they took time to bring each plate which I consider appropiate since we were enjoying the music and eating slowly. The waiter was very nice, came several times to ask us and recommended us good wines. Great for an unconventional and intimate lovely night!

Stop whatever you are doing on a Tuesday and come over here! Blues music is great and the food is even better(especially the octopus)! The staff is so friendly and helpful, which makes the experience even better. They also know their wine and aren’t shy to bring you samples till you find exactly what you are looking for. Will be coming back for their Monday and Wednesday Jazz nights! However, if you are in a hurry, maybe wait to come another day. They apparently make the food fresh and it does take a little time, but it’s well worth the wait.

Fantastic service. Nicholas, the manager, was super sweet, helpful and pleasant. Their entire staff was over the top attentive. The music was really great. 80s/90s. It’s quaint. We had two different wines. Both recommended by the staff. The cheese and meat platter as well as the hummus with naan. Everything was gray. Loved the décor. Vibe. Cleanliness. The silverware is modern and beautiful. Really like this wine bar! Great place to hang out and have a nice time with friends.

Small but mighty, Uvaggio went above and beyond my expectations. The setting is very intimate and I particularly liked the simple décor, down to even the cutlery and drinking glasses. The knowledgeable and friendly staff will guide you through their wine selections and offer suggested pairings, and they offer some of the wines in different pours if you want to do a tasting. We gave our waiter an idea of the types of wine we like and he brought out a sample along with some suggestions for unique wines — I never imagined I’d end up drinking a Slovenian Pinot Noir! The wine varieties are labeled with fun names/categories too. We only tried four dishes off the menu but all were incredible and it was hard to decide in the first place! The tender octopus was served with potatoes and an aji sauce and the toasty bread with homemade jalapeño jelly; the chicken ricotta meatballs were hearty but made light with the bean salad, and the cod croquetas crispy and flavorful with a garlic aioli. The charcuterie plate included house-cured duck prosciutto that melts in your mouth. I hear their happy hour deals are great, and I’m definitely coming back to try the other menu items… need to come in a bigger group next time!

Heard about Uvaggio when it first opened and never got to visit until now. Very happy that I finally made it before I leave Miami. We came in a group of 5 — I’d recommend coming with more friends to be able to sample more dishes. We tried so many different things and were pleased with the price point. Making it just before happy hour ended, we grabbed the $ 35 bottle of wine with charcuterie plate and indulged in the duck prosciutto with a fruity wine. We also had the naan with hummus and loved it. After happy hour ended, we ordered the octopus salad(delicious), short rib(heavenly), another charcuterie plate, and a duck special. We finished off with the chocolate mousse and dulce de leche carrot cake. So good! The service was impeccable and everyone in the party was very impressed by the bathroom décor. Five stars all around.

Fantastic happy hour! This is such a cute place. It is on the smaller side, so you may have to wait for a table. However, it is worth it. We went for happy hour from 6 – 7 on a Saturday. They have a great variety of appetizers and wine for a cheaper price. I got a ginger flavored prosecco. It was absolutely delicious and only $ 5! We also got the hummus/baba ganoush/olive tapernade appetizer. The homemade yogurt naan that came with it was flavorful and perfectly spiced. Everyone who is here is in a good mood. The tables are filled with people talking and laughing and the waitstaff is very friendly. This is the type of place you plan to go to for a slow meal. We were here for an hour and we only got an appetizer and a drink and never felt rushed at all. I really enjoyed that the lighting isn’t too dark and it is not really loud in there. The menu is really cute with pithy explanations of each groupings of wine. I would highly suggest this place to anyone who visits Coral Gables.

This is now my second time coming here, and now I can really appreciate everything that goes on behind this restaurant. From the food to the wine to the service, it’s to perfection. I’ll first talk about the service. It’s simply amazing. Everyone here is so nice, that it actually scares me because no one is this nice in Miami. How did you hire such amazing people?! The service alone had my mom(who is super picky) wanting to come back because she didn’t feel intimidated by this restaurant. The food, is AMAZING. I’ve had about ¾ of everything on the menu and every bit I’ve had has been amazing. You have to order the gnocchi and the Brussels sprouts. Their Brussels sprouts are like nothing you’ve ever had, trust me! It’s such a different taste, so amazing. Usually I’m so specific with my Unilocal reviews, but honestly I don’t even know what else to say about Uvaggio because it’s just so good on so many levels. My first and last recommendation is to definitely ask your waiter(we had Nicholas) to give you a wine pairing! Goes perfectly with every meal. Love this place! Joining the wine club membership as I write this!

Uvaggio is my kind of place. Nowhere else on Miracle Mile can you find such friendly service, delicious wine and comforting atmosphere. I first came here for a catchup with a friend awhile back and was pleased to return again last night to find not much has changed. The meal left me wondering why it took me so long to return again! Wine is my drink of choice on any given night so this place is like heaven. You can order 3 oz tastes to try multiple bottles and pair them with individual courses or, of course, get full glasses or bottles. Not a wine drinker? They also have a selection of craft beers. Last night, I arrived about five minutes before the end of happy hour. The staff was gracious enough to still give me the happy hour menu which has some really great deals! I decided to take advantage of the $ 30 special that includes a bottle of wine(you can choose between three whites and three reds) and a meat and cheese board. This was excellent decision and something I’ll definitely do again. I chose the duck prosciutto which practically melted in my mouth and the fig chutney was addicting. For more eats to pair with our delicious wine, we got the Brussels sprouts that had an interesting Asian twist with the addition of Lap Xuong sausage, lamb meatballs over a great red quinoa«tabouli,» butternut ricotta gnocchi(my fave) and some cinnamon bun bread pudding. On my first visit, I had the salt cod croquettes which I loved, along with a rabbit dish I no longer see on the menu. Based on every bite I have had here, I really don’t think you can go wrong. The food menu isn’t extensive but every dish is well thought out and perfectly paired with the wine. As you’d hope from a wine bar, the staff here is super knowledgable about the VERY extensive drink selection. They have weekly wine tastings on Saturdays which I plan on doing soon(and even a happy hour from 6−7pm on Saturdays which is refreshing). Throughout the week, they also bring in live music to play outside on the sidewalk! Last night, we had some nice blues in the back of our meal which was pleasant. This small place has definitely caught on among locals, as it was full throughout the night. Fine by me as long as it doesn’t get *too* full. In other words, let’s just keep it between you and me.

Hole in the wall with largely middle aged European clientele, the rest are snow birds. Based on the menu, I expected an uptight white table clothed restaurant with a bunch of wine snobs, but this couldn’t be further from the truth. Communal seating is encouraged, and the staff and management are not only approachable, but they enjoy telling you all about the food and the wines. For a place this tiny, the service is impeccable and everything runs like a well oiled machine. The menu is designed around the wines, obviously. Don’t be shy to ask for recommendations. Plates are larger than tapas, but not so large you can’t try a bunch of different dishes. My favorite by far were the butternut ricotta gnocchi. They were light and sautéed in butter to a crispy golden brown, but not greasy, served on green apple hash, topped with prunes and hazelnuts. Lot’s happening on that plate but it all comes together and sings in perfect harmony. The grilled octopus was very tender and had a surprising citrus flavor. Great dish but a small portion for $ 18. BF liked his lamb meatballs on top of quinoa. Our least favorite dish were the Asian brussels sprouts. They were a little too mushy and salty, but still very good. The crispy fried shallots on top were awesome. As a self proclaimed bread pudding connoisseur, dessert was a no brainer. I was disappointed to find the dish very one dimensional in flavor and texture. The pudding was cakey, without any crunch or crispy outside edges. All I tasted were sugar and cinnamon. It was simply too sweet and needed either salt or acid to balance it. Booze, bitter chocolate, anything to add another dimension. Additionally, it lacked moisture, so the crème anglaise sauce on the bottom was much needed. Not being a wine drinker, I probably won’t be back, but am glad I got to try chef’s Bret’s creations. I might steal his gnocchi and veganize them.
