I don’t normally write reviews, but I feel I’ve been ripped off by LensCrafters after many years as a customer. This is the 3rd pair of glasses in a row that the transition lens coating degrades & the 1st2 times it happened after just over a year & the insurance I paid for only covered to 1 year. This time, the coating started spotting just 4 months after purchase & they want $ 200 to replace the lenses since I didn’t buy insurance this last time. All 3 occasions they used their standard line that the defect was due to the way I was cleaning my glasses. 1st time they told me I should not use a moist towel, but instead use the dry cloth that comes with the glasses, this last time they told me I shouldn’t have used the dry cloth!!! Very convenient to put the blame on the user rather than on a defective product & only four months after purchase. These glasses were nearly $ 500!

Dr Silvestri examined my eyes last weekend and saved my sanity. Getting older and having to deal with a multitude of issues with eyes. Write for a living on the computer, near sight, blurry and head aches, ugly reading glasses. Dr. S prescribes a trial pair of multi focal contacts that changed my life immediately. I had been going to Walmart optical in CS for 5 years. Dr Florscultz there is super nice but she did not accurately address my issues– I just kept going there because I liked her and figured I cant be fixed completely. I was wrong. Wow. I was so excited and relieved to have this fixed! Staff is professional at the doctors office and hours are convenient. My one week follow up is this Sunday WITHTHEDOCTOR. I know right? Thats fabulous! Dr. S all the way! Thank you for being a life saver with my eyes. I may get my glasses here. Looks like they have great styles. We will see on Sunday…

Waited for over an hour with NO service or acknowledgement. They have no systems of who has been waiting and could care less Horrible service at this location on all levels STAYAWAY! Spend your money at a service oriented eye care provider that cares about your business.

Eyeglass repairs at no charge!?! I am very impressed that they took about 20 minutes to fix my wife’s glasses and not charge her for the parts or the labor… !?! Who does that? LensCrafters apparently! In lieu of charging for their repairs they have a donation box that supports eye related charities. I think that is very special in today’s business environment. Kudos LensCrafters. Five Stars for caring and making the world a little bit better, kinder and more«in focus». Just wanted you to know your efforts are noticed and very, very much appreciated.

I have never had a problem here(eye exams, glasses or contacts) however my insurance does not cover glasses here so I end up spending $ 1000 because of my lenses(where elsewhere I can get glasses for $ 300). Anyhoo, they have an AMAZING selection. This location especially has a HUGE selection to choose from including Tiffany frames which are beautiful. I usually get my glasses in about a week. I get insurance on them and once I scratched a lens and they replaces not only the lenses but the frames as well. In a week I just brought my scratched pair in and they gave me a whole new set, no cost(it was less than a year since I had bought them).

I’ve been here a couple of times for minor repairs on my glasses. I like that they don’t charge for repairs and suggest that instead, you make a charitable donation. I can’t think of anywhere else that does that. I do find their selection of glasses to be pretty limited to the very average style. I know that their frames are, for the most part, inexpensive, but it would be nice to see more in the way of style choices.

The rudest sales woman ever. I went in today to check out some frames and as I was trying on a few pairs I reached in my purse for my phone; I intended to take a pic of the frames to send to a friend for advice. She hustled over to me as if she suspected I was going to shoplift. Then, when I accepted her«help» and asked her for an estimate on a pair of frames with the Rx lenses, she saw my prescription and was completely rude about the fact that my doctor put«full time» on the rx(just little unnecessary comments). She was maybe in her 60s, light blonde hair– if you go to this store, steer clear of her. Needless to say I left and did not return; I would rather drive a few more minutes to another location.

Having lost glasses I liked so much I had the re-lenses twice in 10 years, I needed glasses fast. Given the fact that all options available to me were Luxotica(Lenscrafters, Target, JCP, Sears, Peale) I chose Lenscrafters for location and«1 hour glasses». I also chose to have an eye exam there. After the eye exam I was waited on by one of your very young staff. While I don’t assume people aged around 25 are inexperienced, their age does prevent them from obtaining a certain wisdom that only comes with doing a job for a long time. The folks in this store clearly were new to retail and new to optical service and sales and short on wisdom. The young lady who waited on my was very pregnant. I found that disturbing, particularly since her attire was tight and stretchy and neither attractive nor appropriate. But I digress. I had already picked out the frames I wanted. She was unable to explain the difference between«Lenscrafters» progressive lenses and Vairlux lenses except in dollars. The Varilux, the brand I have worn over 20 years were 50% more expensive than the«house brand». However when she quoted prices, the Varilux fell within my range. Only later did she figure out she forgot to include the frames! So the price zoomed up and over my range by 50%. No apologies — I assume she assumes people just accept such incompetence I was unhappy and had to buy the«house lenses» but was assured I could return them if I wanted the Vairlux. She seemed blind to the fact I just downgraded my lenses from what I wanted to an unknown product due to her incompetence or that somehow I would not mind shelling out the extra $ 250 for Varilux after trying the no-name lenses. She was very good at the laser fitting, to her credit. Once we settled on my order — and I do mean«settled» as I was not getting the lenses I wanted, the store became filled with a stench I thought was coming from Whole Foods next door, But he lady said no, that’s the smell the labe makes when they cut lenses. Yuch! Having had that conversation and smelled that smell, and having paid for my new glasses you will likely share my surprise when next she told me my «glasses in an hour» would be ready in EIGHTDAYS! Translation: I just wasted a lot of time and money! But I waited. When I got the call the glasses were ready, the young(really young) boy behind the counter had a hard time finding them. The way they were stored, not on trays, but in bundles of glasses wrapped in their paper orders held on by rubber bands — made them unnecessarily hard to find and again wasted my time. My far vision is pretty good so when he handed me the glasses and told me to look ahead i had no problem. He handed me something to read, I glanced at it as he took it away. The glasses seemed adequate. Driving home, I started getting the«breaking in new glasses» feeling and wrote it off. When I got home my new glasses that were supposed to aid me in reading while working on the computer at my desk were still had to be removed for the computer as my old lost pair required. I was disappointed. Later when I was reading my iPad I made a discovery — after reading up on the web, I found the phrase for it is «severe skew distortion». Here is a rendering of what I saw looking down and moving my head ever so slightly left or right: I was stunned and made this visual aid to show my(still inappropriately dressed a week later) sales associate: I had no added the text yet, which I added here, as I thought it was self explanatory — plus I was there to explain it. She just said«you showed me this piece of paper, but I don’t now what it is». She also did not know the meaning of «skew distortion. She went to actually try and blame your doctor and me for the problem. That’s when I insisted on getting my money back. She asked«don’t you want us to fix it»? I told her that was naïve — I assumed Lenscrafters did their very best job making my glasses — they failed but they tried their best. I assume that. So did she mean now they would try even harder than their very best? Seemed like nonsense so I got my money back. I also tried to bring this to the attention if the eye doctor, but they weren’t interested. Now with seeing a private experienced optician I have seen in the past, he suggested I discard your doctor’s RX and have an exam by another doctor as the Lenscrafters Rx as so
