When I’m looking for raw shrimp or seafood or a prepared meal, these guys are one of my favorites. Very clean, competitive prices, and now a fairly new section with Hispanic prepared foods too. Always a good consistent choice.

I’m very pleased with the food. The seafood is so fresh !!! I will Deffinetely be coming here a lot often. The people are amazing so nice.

With a newly opened Spanish food area this adds well to the delicious fresh fish served to your liking.

Used to be a small Italian fish store with extremely fresh fish, but since the ownership changed hands now it’s hispanic fast food.

Seafood is fresh. Cooked its delicious and pretty quick. I work nearby they are great for lunch and to pick up dinner on way home

I have been buying my fish here for many years — I often come to the Italian fisherman and purchase a large branzino when I have friends over from the other side. I also buy dover sole here once or twice each week. The best thing of all is that it’s prepared table side.

The Italian Fisherman in Coram is a nice little fish market that also prepares a nice variety for seafood dishes that you can take out or eat there.
Prepared food:
Pretty much any kind of cooked seafood dish you can think off is available there, from your regular fish n’ chips to steamed lobster and Chilean sea bass. I would rate the quality of the prepared food as above average but not spectacular so perhaps a ⁷⁄₁₀. I’d recommend the fish n’ chips with potato salad for a quick fulfilling lunch and also enjoy the blackened swordfish dinner. The staff is efficient and friendly. Seating is very sparse and only consists of 2 or 3 small fold out plastic tables with two small folding chairs per table. The seating is right near the door and as it is a narrow shop I would not recommend dining in unless you have no other choice. The prices for the prepared food are very reasonable in general.
Fish Market:
I often purchase my seafood here as the selections are always excellent and fresh. The staff is always knowledgeable and helpful in getting exactly what you need. The variety of shell fish and raw fish is definitely above average. They also have frozen lobster tails (Brazilian only) in a variety of sizes ranging from 4−5oz to 12oz which I find are a tab overpriced for warm water lobster but generally good quality. Overall the prices for all the raw fish are very good. My only complaint would be they’re only open until 7:30pm and are closed on Mondays. If you like seafood and live in Coram where else are you going to get it? No seriously, where else are you going? Write a review so I can check it out.
