Princess Nails

Okay, so they did not do a good job with my nails. What I also did not like was the customer service. They did not speak to me when I came in, but they spoke to all of the other Caucasian customers who came in. They held conversations with the Caucasian customers, but not with me. They offered the Caucasian customers drinks, but not me. Me, being the new customer (first time in), you would think they’d treat me the same to keep me as a customer, but they chose not to. If I can find another salon who has the powder gel, I’m going elsewhere.

I didn’t get the gals name but she was super cool and funny. They didn’t take long to get to me. The guy who applied my shellac was a little rough with the removal BUT I’ve found that to be the case everywhere with male nail techs.
If I said I’d go again it would be a lie but it’s not for a bad reason. I’m just trying to visit every nail shop in Memphis.
Strange I know. Whatever. Maybe I’ll meet THE ONE or maybe I’ll be realistic and settle with good enough.

If I could give this business zero stars I would. While visiting from out of town I stopped in to get a shellac mani and pedi. The man at the desk told me to go to the second pedicure chair. There was dirty water still in the basin. Another associate drained the tub and started filling it again without cleaning it. The male behind the desk came over and asked me to sit down. I asked him if they were going to clean the basin and he said it had been. I told him I was standing here and it wasn’t cleaned. He again told me it was. Honestly, that’s disgusting there were still foot shavings from the previous pedicure. If that is how they treat their basins I can’t imagine they actually sanitize their instruments. Forget it!

I go to Princess Nails strictly for manicures and they are the best. Hardly no wait time, and the staff is very nice and accommodating. My only gripe is that they do not have a large selection of nail polish colors to choose from. Those days when I am unsure about a color, I usually rely on the salon to have a good selection. From now on I will almost always just purchase my own colors and bring them in.
If you are there for manicures, you will not be disappointed.
