This review is mainly for the Pharmacy. Good location, easy to find parking, drive thru is convenient. I like the staff, they are cordial. They call me and follow up with my medications. When I’ve had issues with prescription refills or insurance, they’ve advised me the best thing to do, or have even made calls for me which I really appreciate. They can sometimes be a little slow, but I guess they are just real busy. I have also done online refills, phone refills, scan refills, and email refills. My profile online does not show my medications and I have no idea why. Doing online refills have been problematic. You cannot book anything soon for the pick up time. I tried the email one, the emailed back to say it was being filled but I never received a pick up email. When I called in, the automatic assistance system said there was a problem on my insurance, but when I talked to the pharmacy they said there was no problem. Also it is a pain going through the prompts when you call the main number. Trying to get a pharmacist to actually talk to can be frustrating, you have to go through all the prompts and it won’t let you push 0.

It’s bad enough that they didn’t check on my insurance when I dropped my prescription off, but there is more. I went by Walgreens this morning as I intended on changing my pharmacy from Kroger due to problems with their Trinity store management. I drove up to the window and gave the lady my prescription and my information. She looked me up and said she had found me and wanted to know if I wanted to wait or come back later. As I was busy, I decided to come back later. When I came back there was a different lady at the window and she asked me if I had insurance. As the lady had looked me up earlier, I stated that I did and it should have been found when I dropped off my prescription. Mind you, I have been there before and gotten flu shots without any issues. Now here comes my even bigger problem than the first person not asking me about it, Walgreens, in their infinite wisdom, does not find it important enough to support our military personnel, so they do not accept Tricare. Tricare is the insurance company for our active duty Soldiers and an oft selected insurance for those of us who have spent a career in defense of our country and then retired. Walgreens, does not accept this insurance. I guess veterans are not important to them. I personally will never step foot in another Walgreens but instead will go to CVS which does accept Tricare. It would have been nice if the lady in the morning had asked about insurance or even if they had called me before trying to fill it. Needless to say I refused to pay $ 79+ dollars for 3 simple patches. Unfortunately, I now have to wait for the prescription to get transferred to CVS because Walgreens failed to give anything that even resembles customer service.
