Chicken Express

You need to teach your employees the difference between gravy and f’ing mashed potatoes this is the third time I’ve asked for a side of gravy and gotten mashed potatoes. First you make me wait 15 minutes for my order because you are out of chicken breasts and legs!!! Then when you hand it through the window you tell you put any extra leg in there for the wait it’s ‘s a lucky thing you put an extra leg in there because I ordered the 3 piece meal and that «extra» leg made it almost what I ordered. I know they are high school kids but it doesn’t take a intelligent person to shove chicken in a box… chicken express should be chicken shit!

I like CE but … They screw up my damn order nearly 100% of the time. It is absolutely ridiculous. I guess we are dumb for continuing to give them business. We usually get home only to find they forgot a meal or a side. One time we ordered a 4 piece tenders and got no tenders in the box… only mashed potatoes and a roll. What kind if brain dead kids work here? Also, their menu says they have catfish but they never have any made when I try to order it. If you do go through the drive thru make damn sure you check everything before you leave the parking lot because there is about a 90% chance they messed something up. Food has never been an issue. We all like it but the service is the worst!!!

I wrote a review on this place back in December 2013 and was trying to be lenient. I no longer will. This is by far, the worst Chicken Express location on the planet! In the last 60 days, we have been to this location on 3 separate occasions. Either it was peak lunch or dinner, and when ordering chicken, we got the same response:
«It will be about 15 minutes while we get chicken up.»
We have relatives that also visit this place and there is always a wait on chicken. The last time we personally were there, we said no thanks and went somewhere else.
If you ever drive by this place, the parking lot hardly has any cars in it, and I have watched people drive off. This ought to be a clear sign that either the service or the food is horrible. In this case, the service is horrendous.
We no longer even bother with this place for fried chicken anymore, and it’s a shame because their chicken is good. I hope the owner of this place is reading this review. You have a bunch of young teenagers that are mostly running the place, and it seems to me like they really don’t want to be there and it’s hurting your business when they don’t have food ready.

The chicken is decent but not the best. The tea… lol…lets just say Did you want water with that sugar? Very very sweet and this is coming from a guy born in the south raised on it. The rest of the meal was ok but the ²⁄₃ times I have been there they have messed up the order.

Boned Chicken is always hit or miss, it’s never bad, just not always as good as it is sometimes. Their tenders on the other hand are the best anywhere. 10 stars for Tenders with some slaw and mashed taters and gravy and a large glass of sweet tea! Reminds me of Sunday after church at Grandma’s.

Staff is great. Chicken is hit or miss — sometimes crispy and sometimes not so much. We personally like fried chicken that is crispy and this doesn’t seem to be their target.
The chicken strips are actually better than the chicken.
Sweet tea is the best in the area. Worth a stop for the tea alone.
Chicken livers are decent. Mashed potatoes and gravy are mediocre.
Fairly inexpensive — especially their lunch specials.
Their hot salt is something clever and tastes good on the fries.

Love this Chicken Express. Great, helpful staff. Clean dining area. Food is great. Decorated in Cowboys theme.
