Me and my husband bought a Groupon to go kayaking. The person I spoke to on the phone was short with me, so I was a bit nervous about coming to this place. However, when we arrived, we were treated with respect and kindness. We had a great time on our date and would do it again in a heartbeat. Make sure you make your reservation before you go!

BEWARE: if you are cancelling your reservation within the 72 hour timeframe that’s CLEARLY stated on the website, they will NOT refund you your money! I’ve booked with great boat rentals in Lake Norman in the past(Aqua-ventures, CS Rentals, Salt Shaker Marine, just to name few) and have been very pleased and satisfied with their services. I highly suggest you contact one of those companies because this company will get over on you! I had a Saturday reservation and called on Tuesday to cancel it. I was told there aren’t any cancellations, and I only can«postpone» for a later date. None of this was said to me prior to booking NOR is it on the website. 10 thumbs down!

I just read the previous review and find it hard to believe we are talking about the same company… A group of 8 of us rented a pontoon for a half day to take out on the lake for tubing. Booking was super easy, even though I waited until only a week before to book. On the day of, we arrived 30 minutes late(hey, it was a bachelorette weekend and waking up was an issue) and he was completely understanding. He even let us keep the boat out past our allotted time to make up for us being irresponsible. Whenever I rent stuff I’m always worried that the person will say I damaged something and up-charge me. That didn’t happen at all. I was even given a discount! The bill was exactly what I expected — the rental, plus the excess people, plus the tube, plus gas. No weird extras. I can’t speak enough about how not up-charging makes me respect a company. We’ll definitely be back for the boat and really hope to try kayaks too!

If you enjoy being belittled and accused of wrong doing by the people that you are trying to give business to, then this is the company for you! Purchased the groupon in early August hoping to use it for my birthday at the end of August for my first time kayaking and sent a text message as instructed to make an appointment but no response. Didn’t get to go for my birthday like I had hoped. A couple of weeks later in early September, I called the office number and left a voicemail as instructed in the groupon… Again no response. Figured my money was gone to a scam so I reported it to groupon and decided to give it once last shot. Sent another text to the number as instructed(over a month later since the first one) and finally received a response. Whoever responded was absolutely rude and claimed to have not received any of my messages blamed me for using the wrong number in my previous messages even though I have documentation that it was the right number. This person essentially told me that they don’t care what the proof says and I quote«we’re going to issue you a refund for a 2 person kayaking seriously?» Not winning any customer service awards here. They also operate in my hometown of Ft Myers Florida so beware for my Ft. Myers family as well. Unfortunately I didn’t get the chance to experience kayaking because of the interaction up to that point was combative, unprofessional and rude and I didn’t feel safe with whoever these people are.
