Yes! Pool hall dive bar! Definitely don’t have too many of these in the surrounding areas in the least. Luckily I stumbled on to this place via the Unilocal app and had a friggin great time hanging here with some interesting people. Good crowd. POOLTABLESGALORE… a dozen maybe. They do have food and it looks ok for not having much of a kitchen or cook staff. Makes for a good 4th meal. Drink specials everyday I’m pretty sure. This IS the place to hang out and knock em back over some fresh pool. They have a shot club where they dictate a particular shot for 50(?) shots, and you get some prize. Not sure. In any case, pool is modestly priced. Tourney play is every now and then and that takes priority over walk-ins, unless there is an open table. Watch out for the sharks! They’re out here!

An pool bar with a membership system that is apparently optional? It was fine, food was a little below average, locals seem to dominate the place so it’s an odd stop if you are new in town

The Irish Cue is the type of place that doesn’t try to be something it isn’t, which in the lake area is somewhat refreshing. Instead, the Cue, as the locals call it, is an unpretentious pool hall with a smattering of dart boards and a decent live music lineup to keep things lively. Here you are likely to find all types of people, depending on the day/night: your hard core pool hustlers, professionals unwinding after work, teenagers and twenty-somethings looking for a place to down as much beer as possible and listen to music, and regulars who feel more at home in a bar than in their own house. In short, its your basic bar, with various entertainment options. Not the cleanest, not the hippest, but I can’t say I’ve been to the Cue and haven’t had a good time. You just have to know what to expect… it’s not a place to be seen, it’s a bar. And that’s what I like about it.
