Sanctuary Salon and Spa

I am so happy I found a salon I love. Philicia took my thin, post pregnancy mop, and turned it into the best haircut I have ever received. She also gave me highlights that kept my hair looking natural and beautiful. Philicia listened and delivered.
On another note: The salon staff was friendly and worked as a team. The space was clean, warm and very inviting. It’s hard these days to walk into a business and find a staff as happy as a family.

First time I have been here today and I could not have asked for a better appointment!
My stylist was Sarah– she was very attentive and listened to what I wanted and guess what, my hair cut and color came out even better than what I imagined!
The atmosphere was very appealing and comfortable. I look forward to my next visit!

I thought I’d never find a new salon & spa as fabulous as my obsession in Los Angeles after my move but I was WRONG! I feel so at home with Bettina (gifted with color and cut) and so in love with Leah (her facials are out of this world). Thank you for making my NC transition so easy! Sanctuary makes me feel like my city girl self in the burbs.

I’ve made the mistake of seeing other stylists on a whim, or because I want to do something she doesn’t recommend, but I always wish I’d listened, and I always always come back to her.
She knows color like a second language and she specializes in keratin treatments (Rejuvenol brand — three strength levels) and extensions. I don’t get extensions, but I’ve seen her clients who do, and it’s incredible.
She is kind and real and strives to keep her salon down to earth. She doesn’t sell or recommend products she doesn’t use or stand by herself. A trim is always just a trim, and she will not lead you astray.
I’ve also had a haircut and keratin by Antoinette and I love that woman.

If you want a top-​notch, big city caliber facial in the Lake Norman area, you MUST see Leah at Sanctuary Salon & Spa. A recent transplant from LA via NYC, Leah has the best credentials of any esthetician I have found in the Charlotte metro area. She has a wonderful personality, makes you feel at ease and knows her skin care through and through. So often I feel like facials are a fun indulgence but not necessarily effective. After two facials at Sanctuary with her, my skin has never looked better. And at no point during the facial did I feel like she was pushing an agenda or just slathering creams on my face. Another plus — the facials are very reasonably priced and the salon is charming inside. Seeing her monthly is now a must for me. A hidden gem in Lake Norman!
