I’ve eaten at Aniello’s countless times since I was a kid and it’s always a decent choice for pizza and subs, but nothing amazing. The pizza is excessively greasy and has gotten a lot tougher to bite through over the years. I always grab a stack of napkins to blot of the lakes of oil on my pizza. I also don’t recommend saving any leftovers because if you thought the crust was tough when it was fresh, just wait until it’s sat a night in the fridge. The salads are large and full of meat. The subs are decent, but the chicken isn’t anything special; just frozen chicken fingers fried, stuck in some bread, covered in sauce and cheese, and stuck in the oven for a few minutes. If you’re in Corning and looking for great pizza, I’d definitely recommend Atlas over Aniello’s. Atlas as a MUCH greater variety and the pizza is less greasy and easier to bite through.

I’m a Corning native so I had to stop back in to leave a review. Growing up, ordering pizza was synonymous with ordering Aniello’s — there was just no point considering another option. I always get classic cheese, mushroom, or buffalo wing pizza. I love their antipasta and their buffalo wing sub. If you want to eat where the locals eat, this is it. It’s been a Corning staple since I was born.

Stopped by here after a trip to the glass museum and before my road trip back home to the city. Service was a bit slow to get an order in at the counter so didn’t seem like the most inviting place, but likely because they were so busy. We ordered a large pizza with half jalapeños and half onions and while a little too greasy for my taste, it came out hot and crunchy(the crust was really perfect) and we were pleased with the generous serving of the toppings… as we should have been as the pie wasn’t exactly cheap. Seemed like THE pizzeria to go to if you’re from the area, but as a snobby ‘downstater’ I’d give this a solid average rating.

I’m not sure if I possess the words to describe the gastronomical experience that is Aniello’s. Truly. If you like pizza, even a little bit, this place is as good as it gets. I was skeptical too — my boyfriend legitimately raved about this place for weeks before I was able to visit him and try a slice of this pizza. When I finally did, I was nothing short of impressed. This pizza is unreal. Slices come out super hot and not typically burnt. The sauce is flavorful but not overly present, and cheese is perfectly melted. I haven’t had anything but the cheese pizza(what can I say, I’m a pizza purist) but I’m sure everything else is just as good. As for everything else — service is friendly but brisk. Orders sometimes take a while(as a testament to the quality of the pizza) but if you manage to snag a booth with some friends, the wait never seems to be too long. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, but definitely loud. I’m not sure why anyone would go anywhere else for pizza in the Corning area, as Aniello’s is the best selection by far.

The staff was not rude but not incredibly friendly either. Had a slice of Sicilian style pizza and a Greek salad. Neither was worth it. They don’t know what a Greek salad is. Table was dirty. Overall not good.

Went here with my husband and the food was okay, It’s always okay. It was suppose to be a quick meal before his test for school. It was far from quick and the food was bland. Also the service was down right awful. Very rude and condescending as I was trying to get boxes to go. They also ignored me until I raised my hand and yelled«I need to go boxes please!» In MY opinion just skip here. Avoid the rudeness and go to the many other places of wonderful market Street. Atlas is amazing we should of just went there. VERYDISAPPOINTED.

We came here on accident, we were trying to go to brick oven pizza but stumbled here instead and decided to try it anyways! More spacious then some of the other pizza places in the area, booths, high tops, and tables all over. I like that they have a table in the window so you can people watch anyone walking around Market Street. You order your food at the counter, take a seat, and someone will bring over your order when it’s ready. We came here for lunch an decided on 3 slices, one with mushrooms. I don’t know what it is around this area and why they think throwing raw toppings on it and warming it up in the oven is the same as actually having a mushroom pizza. It baffles me. This is the second place in the area that’s done it. We also ordered 2 sides of garlic knots(total of 6). The food? Mediocre and I probably won’t try it again. There are other options on this strip so they are a strikeout for me. Our 3 slices came out burnt. Unacceptable. She placed them on the table and left and I immediately looked at them and said to everyone these are burnt. It takes a few minutes to warm up pizza and if you burn it, you shouldn’t be serving your customers this. We basically finished our slices before the garlic knots even came out of wherever they make them. That was their saving grace — they garlic knots were good, soft-fluffy and full of flavor. Looking around at other customers slices and they looked totally fine and not burnt. I wish this woman had cared enough about what she was serving because we might have come back. Not worth trying again when there are about 4 different pizza places.

My wife and I always make a point if stopping in for pizza when we are in Corning. The pizza is delicious, tending toward the thin, floppy, NY-style that we both love. Good sauce and good toppings. The garlic knots are also very good. Our only critique is that the interior frequently falls behind in the clearing and cleaning of tables, particularly during the lunch and dinner rushes.

Stopped in after dinner one night as the smell of pizza was too hard to ignore. Also, this place was swamped — so we knew it had to be good. Hubby and I split a slice and waited at a table across from the ovens to take it all in. The pizza was good — not amazing or life changing — but a good start for the 1 of 3 pizza places in the Gaffer District.

A little disappointed that they do not provide the soup menu all season because I am not a big fan of pizza and not in the mood for salad. So, I ordered meatball cheese calzone, it was not bad at all, it actually the best calzone I ever had. The only complain was how long I have to wait for my food, even it was not busy when I got there. Overall, it is a good place for pizza.

Great place. I come here often. I’m on there free wifi so I should definitely leave a good review! All kidding aside the best pizza outside of New York City. It’s so good it can give the pizza down state a run for their money. It’s truly delicious. Only problem is that on a busy Saturday night you’ll wait a while, but that just means the food is good and yes it’s worth the wait. They would get five stars from me but there is always a wait. Even after you order.

This destination was highly recommended & didn’t disappoint. This a great slice! Had the bacon chicken ranch, cheese, & garlic parm. Loved the Garlic slice out of the 3 of them. Place was packed, service @counter was friendly & helpful with our many slice decisions. Their subs looked great and wish I could have taken two home with me. Next time. On my travels from Baltimore to Rochester this is my stop. Thank you Aniello’s

I feel really bad for the guy who owns this, because for some reason Bruce Springsteen wants to kill him. I’m deadly serious. More on this in a minute. What to get: Slices, Garlic Knots. What else: We all live in Aniello Submarine. Aniello Submarine. Aniello Submarine. I was here one night recently at the end of a Syracuse — Ithaca — Binghamton food tour. It was very late night and they were still open. I loved the service and the opening hours. But what is excellent about Aniello’s is that it’s in a tiny town like Corning and yet has pizza so good, it would fit in up in Buffalo or Rochester, or even in NYC. It’s 5 star pizza all the way and the Garlic Knots are amazing too. If you’re in Corning, you must be sure to try a slice. The service here is lovely too. Now back to this Springsteen business. I have no idea why a cool guy like Bruce would want to murder a pizza guy, but it’s true, and I have proof. In his song«Born In The USA», Bruce screams that he went«off to a foreign land»(which is clearly a reference to Corning, NY as there are few places more foreign on this earth), and Bruce continues, «to go and kill the Aniello man.» So there you have it. But the question everyone is wondering now, is: why would you want to kill the Aniello man? Was the pizza really *that* bad Bruce? Maybe Bruce was dancing in the dark and knocked the pizza over? Maybe he’s annoyed that he can’t find pizza this good on the streets of Philadelphia? Maybe he used to kill random pizza makers in his glory days? Or maybe it made him sick and he ended up getting his stomach pumped in that hospital on E Street? Or maybe when he saw the«Grandma Slice» he assumed that it was actually made using his Grandma. That seems the most logical explanation. So you should know that in the town where I was born lived a man who ate pizza, and he told us of his slice in Aniello’s in Corning. And my goodness, he was right. Aniello’s is one of the best slices you’ll ever find out in the middle of nowhere. Okay, Corning isn’t nowhere if you like blowing glass(or blowing Central NY boys), but it really is sandwiched in between the long, lonely Fingering Lakes that produce so many heavenly whines, and the Endless Mountains, which are named after those with DD Cups and higher. I’ve been here only twice in my life, but I intend to increase that number exponentially(much like the size of my thingy once I get hold of Austin Powers’ Swedish Pump), largely because it is so damn good! They’re open very late too — or at least they were last time I was here. Fantastic service, and even better pizza. Their regular slices are excellent, their thick specialty slices are, well… thick, and special. Like my thingy. And even moreso, my Central NY Boyfriend’s thingy. And their Garlic Knots are, well, Garlicky, and, um, Knot bad at all. In fact they’re wonderful, and one of the first places that ever made me come… made me come… made me come to appreciate Garlic Knots. Sorry I have a stammering problem. Aniello’s slides effortlessly inside… slides effortlessly inside… slides effortlessly inside the top 50 slices in New York state, and may get even higher after I pop it in my mouth for a third time, kind of like my ex girlfriend. It’s also the fave pizza spot in this region of my pizza-loving travelling companion, and in my opinion it’s better than any of the pizzas in Binghamton, Ithaca, Jamestown, Olean and even Syracuse. So tie Aniello ribbon round the old oak tree, and do what Coldplay did. I got a slice… I bought a slice for you Oh what a thing to do And it was Aniello. I took a bite… I took a bite with you I loved it, you did too And it was Aniello. And then I burned my tongue Oh what a thing to’ve done And it was Aniello.

Here’s the thing — when I am in Corning this is a mandatory stop for me because I NEED their sauce. Honestly I don’t care about their pizza, their salads, whatever — all I want is their garlic knots and those are only a vehicle for their sauce. I guess it’s the Aniello grandma’s recipe — but whatever it is, I can’t stop eating it when I am there, and if I am able I grab some to take home with me! In every other respect it is your average small town pizza place(although recent renovations make it a little on the nicer end), but damn, that sauce. That SAUCE.

I took 60 students here on a field trip, and I expected it to be «just another pizza joint.» It wasn’t. They really have an outstanding and extensive menu.(I have a pretty significant wheat allergy and they even have gluten free pizza… which was very good.) They were able to efficiently process 60 orders and move us through quickly and efficiently. The portions are significant, and everyone left very happy. I’d highly recommend Aniello’s!

Straight up one of the best NY style pizza around. In the almost 40 years I’ve eaten there, never a disappointment. I get that pizza is very much a soulful thing to many, and some might not understand my passionate review. But anytime I’m in Corning I must get my Aniello-itch scratched. Yummy 5 stars!

Wow! You definitely get your value at this place because the portions are huge and tastes absolutely delicious! I definitely recommending on getting one of the calzones. they are very generous in terms of the amount of cheese that is used in each calzone and it turns into a delicious cheesy heaven…

Decided to take a pit stop in Corning on the way back from Toronto to NY and found this place(after finding out our first choice had closed down for the night early for some reasons) and I’m pretty glad it did otherwise, would not have tried out this place. Inside and out felt like a good ol’ fashioned America pizza parlour with wooden booths and high tables/chairs scattered around the storefront window area. It’s pretty large so they can definitely hold a lot of customers but if you go in a group of larger than 4, you might have problems finding seats all next to each other because the night we went, which was a normal wkday night, it was packed full. We had to actually wait for a table to open up because we were 5 people and the booths were too small for one extra person. You get service only at the order counter up front and you get whatever you need from that counter. The service was a little slow but that was because they were pretty busy. And the guys were helpful, albeit they didn’t seem to want to be there. Probably looking forward to closing for the night and getting home. I found the pizza we ordered was healthy large for 5 hungry guys and pretty tasty. The cheese came off gooey and hot, the sauce was just right and the dough wasn’t dry, burnt, or undercooked. The wait for the pizza though took a long while. We had to go up and check on our order at least twice and noticed everyone else was doing the same thing. It probably took almost 20 mins for our pizza to come out after we ordered and found seats. All-in-all, good pizza and ok service. Solid 3 stars. Parking: Street or paid structure Price: $ 20 Wait: 15 – 25 mins after ordering
