Just don’t even bother. For starters: Their hours are atrocious. M-W-F 9 – 5 and a few hours on Saturday I’d list which hours, but they don’t on their website, so I guess it doesn’t matter. You’re in the service industry, and anyone with a job can only access you one day a week, for a short window of time. I bring some clothes to them, turn them in, get my ticket come back and some of it isn’t done when they said. Ok, whatever. Took me a week to get around to coming back, not sure why there’s still more work to be done. Another week goes by, this time I get my clothes, and on wearing one of the pairs of pants, find there’s a bleach spot on it. Next chance I get, I dip out of work a half hour early, just make it to the door as they’re locking up(this is how it works from here on out), get them to let me in, explain the situation, lady is nice, asks for the pants to show the boss, I give them over with my name, phone number and email. Week goes by and no word. Dip out of work, yadda yadda, and some guy is at the desk. Says he doesn’t know anything, but the boss comes in on the weekend, and he’ll sort it out then. Sure, great. The one guy with any decision making power in this place, and he’s around weekly. I’m out of town that weekend for a wedding(Funny how often the middle of the day Saturday in the Summer is booked up…) so I can’t meet His Ownership in person. Leave my info again. That was Friday. This is Wednesday. I dip, walk in past the ‘closed’ sign at 4:50 and it’s a new woman. SHE doesn’t know anything, but she’ll call the boss. He’s busy, goodness wouldn’t want to interrupt the wheelings and dealings of the owner of a shitty laundromat in nowhere, so she takes my info, tells me he’ll call. I ask her when he’ll call. He didn’t say. I ask for his info. She says she can’t give me that info. Because why should I be able to get in contact with someone with whom I have business dealings, who has my money, and has not rendered services?! Guess he can’t afford a second cell for work. Good. Anyway, he obviously never called. What clearly happened, is Vails Gate Laundry, which is where literally EVERY dry cleaner around here sends your clothes(I’ve since started patronising other places), is jamming these guys up over whether they’ll pay for the pants. Rather than admit that their contractor is their problem, fronting me the money and working to get it back(or not! It’s 70 goddamn dollars!) on their own time, on their own dime, they’re jerking me around, for nearly a month. Fuck these people. Never go there. Drop your stuff off at Vails Gate, that’s where it ends up anyway, or the cleaner in the cornwall mini mall, it’s 4 minutes away and they send your clothes to the same place. At least both those places aren’t run by some sleaze who has no idea how to run a business. **Update, So this was back in September. It’s now Halloween. Just after posting this, I went in one last time to, you know, say where the hell is the money for my property you wrecked? I *finally* get the owner on the phone, he’s all apologetic, we think of ourselves as a family, tries to fob off some store credit on me, like getting my clothes bleached for free is somehow a deal, I say no, he says gimme the address, I’ll mail a check. Two months on, and nothing. It should be noted that I live on the same street as the business, about two addresses down. It’s not like he forgot.

This place is local and kind of cute, but a total mess. I dropped off old lace curtains, a cream sweater covered in coffee, and a silk blouse on a Thursday. The long haired guy seemed accommodating and knowledgeable, and said to return the following Wednesday. Fine. I get there Wednesday, the blouse is done but the sweater he wants to run through again to make sure its stain free. And the curtains were some line of BS about taking longer because they’re so old/delicate/dusty. Fine. Annoying to show up and not have them ready, but fine. He says come back Saturday. I come back Saturday. Different guy, can’t find them, says neither is there. What? Why bother tell me to come back if neither of my pieces are ready. This guy is nice and apologetic, and I’m still pretty easy going about things like this, so I say why don’t you give me a call when they’re ready. He says fine, AND offers a discount on this cleaning AND the next one. Fine. I get a phone call a week later saying they vacuumed and inspected the curtains but don’t want to clean them because they’re delicate. Fine, I think, at least the dust is off them. I ask to please let me know when both are back in the store. He says fine. Fine. A week later and NO phone call so I decide to call them. This is THREEWEEKS this process has taken. They say«Oh yea, someone called you already», to which I replied no they haven’t, someone informed me they weren’t doing the job they had said they would do, but not to come pick them up. Then, and from here on out, I received nothing but attitude from these people. I go in the next day to pick them up, long haired guy is there again, and his whole demeanor has gone from kind of endearingly bumbling but knowledgeable and eager to condescending, snarky, rude, evasive, and like he’s just trying to push me out the door. I SHOULD have been offered a free service this time around, but instead he gives me an ATTITUDE about the discount that his coworker PROMISED me! Give me a break My Valet, you are not and will never be MY valet. They got the coffee out of the cream sweater though, so kudos.
