Amazing food and customer service. To start off with, they bought us fresh baked bread straight from the oven, along with extra virgin Italian seasoned olive oil; the bread was to die for. For our appetizers we had fritters, spinach artichoke dip, and peel-n-eat shrimp. The fritters and dipping sauce were absolutely astounding, by far the best I have ever eaten. The peel and eat shrimp were fresh and perfectly cooked, and the artichoke dip was marvelous. We ordered one red and one white wine, which were both up to our prodigious standards of excellence. My entrée was the pasta of the day, which happened to be a seafood pasta on the day I was there. To start with, the pasta noodles were cooked to a spot on al Dante, the pasta consisted of a healthy portion of clams, scallops, sushi grade tuna, and shrimp from what I remember, and everything blended together marvelously and was seasoned to perfection. Lastly, the desert we had was a chocolate mouse/Nutella pudding. It was not too heavy and had just the right amount of chocolate, it also had a pleasant but subtle kick of spiciness that gave it an unprecedented edge on any traditional desert I have ever eaten.

We just attempted to eat dinner, and had a terrible experience. The crazy thing is, we had eaten here the first night we were in Corolla and it was terrific. The long story short, I had ordered a NY strip medium, and it came out well-done… No big deal. Well after watching my wife finish her entrée and me eating through my side dishes, I still had no steak. So after maybe 10 – 15 minutes(the low end of 10 being generous)… when a manager? came to my table and told me they just put the refire on. Of course I was pissed and said«it takes 3 – 4 minutes on each side, I should have a steak by now». The woman then looked at me and said«if you want a raw steak I’ll get you one» and stormed off.(she was pretty nasty and pissed-off). It was pretty epic.

Went here last night for dinner, it was amazing! The waitress Carrie was so sweet, accommodating, and thorough. She even asked if anyone had any allergies before ordering. She was great, which made the experience that much better! I got the three cheese ravioli with butternut squash, mushrooms in a smoky roasted bell pepper cream sauce. It was so good! Yum! Definitely suggest you go! Classy place too!

Hadn’t been to Mike Dianna ’ s for a couple of years because the last time we were there the food was plainly terrible. Much better food this time, and they’ve clearly focused on sourcing better proteins. Would be great if they offered at least one cut of beef that was grass fed, but alas all is grain fed. Unfortunate when they offer a waygu cut, but not a grass fed option. One other complaint is the accompanying green beans. Fresh is one thing, but we were served almost raw, not well seasoned, green beans. Thr seafood chowder was an A as always.

Went with a group of 15. The food gets thumbs up. We got 4 appetizers. All were solid. Artichoke dip, oysters, crab cake and beef satay. The beef was perfect. Melt in your mouth. For dinner, my fiancé and I split the surf and turf for two. It was a lot of food and delicious. Crab cake had little filler. Steak was huge. The wedge salad was big, but light on taste. The dressing could have been better. Good seafood chowder. Good bread. Party of 15, the waitress could have used some help. Besides slightly slow refill on drinks, the service was good.

This place was very good, even after we got in at 10 pm to dine! The main menu switches every evening(from what our waiter said) so it was mainly fresh seafood and steaks. I am an extremely picky eater so I ordered a ravioli dish which was spicy and delicious. The rest of my group ordered filet mignon, chicken, and rockfish which everyone raved about. I believe the appetizers remain consistently on the menu– one couple got the beef satay which they couldn’t say enough about, one couple got the seafood chowder which was excellent, and we ordered the green onion & artichoke dip… Very good and unique. Our waiter was fantastic. My only complaint(besides a limited menu for us picky eaters!) was it was very noisy, but it could have just been the evening’s crowd.

The garlic mashed potatoes are served with every entrée except the ones which come with rice pilaf. These potatoes are divine. I special ordered them to come with my yellow fin tuna in lieu of the aforementioned rice pilaf. I ordered the sesame encrusted tuna with shitake mushroom teriyaki glaze. I wanted it seared and rare. It came still cold in the center; perfect! The bread appetizer was nice as well. The ambiance was kid-friendly…butcher paper table cloths for kids to color upon and a window to the grill. I’d eat here again. A nice touch: the waitress gave me my last Pepsi in a to-go cup!

Had reservations for 7:45pm and we were promptly seated on time. Restaurant has room for large parties but parking outside can be a struggle. Service — Very good with manger checking in on meal. Bread and drinks served promptly. Food — We ordered crab cakes and the ribeye with Bernaise butter. Both came with garlic mashed potatoes and green beans. Crab cakes were good with little filler. Ribeye was cooked as specified and of good quality. Bernaise butter added very little. Sides were good. Value — You are going to spend more than most restaurants in this area but if you are looking for better than average food then this is worth it. The steak was pricey especially since the butter add was not special at all. Would we try again. Yes

Our party of 22 enjoyed our dining experience very much. There are very very few places in OBX that can accommodate such a large party and we were very impressed with the skill they showed. Everyone’s order came out together, hot and tasty, and the service throughout dinner was excellent. Cost was reasonable — another plus. Our wait staff made good recommendations so do ask and take their advice! Crab cakes are good and definitely go for the fresh catch of the day. Disappointed in the key lime pie but I don’t think that is their signature dessert — and I am very picky when it comes to KLP :-) Restaurant is tucked in the back of a popular entertainment area so there are lots of things to do before and after dinner.

The food was very tasty. the prices were no where near as expensive as we expected. The service and food were very good. I had the chicken breast. I was expecting it to be dry as it was breast but it was surprisingly tender. My husband had the hse seafood pasta and enjoyed every last bite. We order the beef satay and it was also very good. We were happy with our selections.

Good restaurant. Not the cheapest place in town but good quality and you won’t feel ripped off. We had the surf and turf for 2 it was around $ 70-$ 75. The meal was good and I’d return again. Great steak. Great crab cakes.

Staff was attentive and friendly and the food was delicious. My ribeye was prepared perfectly — thick and tender. After my daughter announced to the waiter that it was my birthday he returned with a complimentary slice of Key Lime pie and they all sang happy birthday to me. What a wonderful way to top off a very happy day.

An excellent place to take large family groups. Food is finer than most restaurants in town and the staff is attentive. Good for families with children! Try the Alaskan Halibut. Ravioli is good, too! Kid’s filet kabob is perfect for kids who love filet!!!

Another good meal at the grill room. We had a version of surf and turf in May and in June I had the seared tuna. Others in our party had the hand cut steaks and were very happy. Some had the salads which are a meal when you add on some meat or even with out.(Husband and I split our salad– I know romantic, right?) We had the artichoke dip, chowder and fried oysters all good. We ate too much to enjoy the dessert menu both times. Clean traditional décor, dark wood, white table cloths, well lit, bit crowded couples, families but pleasant atmosphere. Don’t confuse the friendly outdoor bar with the restaurant which is behind there. We have had the free lunch there and enjoyed a beer and outdoor music on a Saturday waiting for the rental to open.

First let me just say I have never had a better waitress her name is Carrie she was spectacular. We had a reservation for 7:30 we got there at 7:20 and we were seated immediately. Then I ordered a drink and 3 seconds later I got my drink. She asked us if we wanted to order or if we wanted to wait and browse more but we ordered right there and then. I got the ravioli best ravioli I have ever had you will never find anything like this place. You can really have a conversation with the waiter and she will talk and not rush you ever. What was very nice is that she asked if anyone had an allergy at the table. You must go here as your #1 place to go. I wanted to say thank you to Carrie personally for a wonderful dinner.

Amazing food and delightful staff. If you ever go, ask for Amy(nicknamed Gidget). I went for our anniversary and she did an amazing job making us feel at home. Super nice and personable. The ribeye is to die for, especially with the mushroom red wine reduction. And don’t miss out on the mashed potatoes. They’re made fresh every day and have a delicious hint of roasted garlic. Sunday is half price bottles of wine too so that was just icing on the cake. I would drive the 4 hours it takes me to get here just to have this again(and enjoy the beach of course).

One of the best dining expierences I’ve had. The original dinner plan was mexican, but the restaurant we originally wanted to go to was closed, so we stumbled to Mike and Dianna’s Grill Room, and I am glad we did. Our server Holly, was phenomenal. Made sure everyone at the table did not have any food allergies, even recommended some popular dishes on the menu. For starters I highly recommend the fired oysters and the grilled onion and artichoke dip. The herb and garlic chicken(Hardwood Grilled and Roasted Boneless Breast of Free Range Natural Chicken From Ashley Farms in North Carolina and Roasted Chanterelle Mushrooms, Finished with White Truffle Oil and Chicken Jus), was full of flavor, and the white truffle oil and chicken jus was a nice touch. Overall you cant go wrong with anything on the menu here. On thursdays they have burger night, with wagyu beef. If that doesnt stop you in your tracks, I dont know what will. So if you are ever in OBX, make sure you check out Mike Dianna’s Grill Room, you will not be disappointed

What a wonderful experience! The hub & I happened along this place due to a certificate. Unilocal had great reviews, so we tried it. I am so glad we did! I had the seafood chowder to start and the mixed grill for the main course. The fish was prepared well and the beef grilled to perfection. The hub had the cornmeal crusted local flounder, which was delicious. The service was friendly, and our waitress provided great wine recommendations. I will visit here again when in OBX!
