An update after 3 years this month, we are so glad we left our old school to come to AMA, our sons are having a wonderful time and learning a lot, both physically & mentally. The Masters are awesome, the individual attention is great. Both are on different paths, one competes at tournaments at least once a month, the younger son just like going to class a couple times a week and just having fun. They definitely have something for everyone, if you have thought about having you or your children attending martial arts, you definitely need to come check it out for yourself.

Attention to DETAIL! That’s what this place is!!! You want you or your child to be great at something? This is where you belong! We were looking for a new dojang for my son who was eager to continue training. But we wanted his attention to poomsae to be more detailed and perfected. We wanted his sparring to be enhanced with technique for formal tournaments. AMA is exceeding my expectations and my son is so happy!!! This school is extremely dedicated, organized, and warm. Whether it’s the masters/instructors, tuition, classes, sparring team, tournaments, testing or communication… they’re passionate about making this the best place you can be. In a nutshell… Masters and instructors are so accomplished. I see them trying to get the best out of their students. They instill good discipline as well as encouragement. Tuition is fair. There’s no initial fee. It’s all straight forward. Many classes are available for any age and skill level. If you’re dedicated enough to compete in tournaments, this is the place to be. They take competition seriously and my son is learning a lot. There’s also an option to learn Hapkido, Gumdo(sword fighting technique) and/or kickboxing. I observed testing day last weekend. It’s scheduled belt by belt and the students seemed very well prepared. My friend said she’s almost cried in the past because she had never seen her son try so hard and succeed. I’m looking forward to seeing my son test in the future. Everyone had an appointed time and it all seemed to go smoothly. Through Facebook and text messaging they make sure there’s no confusion… they’re constantly sending reminders of anything you need to know. I reallyyy appreciate this! Finally, I gotta say I’m grateful to Master Mary and Master Amador for making this type of school and this quality of Tae Kwon Do available. It’s exactly what we were looking for!

We moved to corona recently and our kids went to this place for about 6 months. It’s overcrowded and students don’t get individual attention. On belt testing day, because it is so crowded, the whole process takes very long. What’s more sad is that students get to advanced to next level even when they don’t know their form ! Very disappointed.

AMA is pretty amazing, we love it here! My son joined when he was 5 and my daughter 3. We looked at other studios and AMA masters/instructors are the best!

I can’t say enough about what a positive impact AMA has been for my son as well as myself. The instructors and environment has been a great way to learn Taekwondo, cardio kickboxing, and Hapkido. I brought my son to learn martial arts, and it has taught him so much more. Also, I have learned and enjoyed the kickboxing. Amazing instruction and awesome people

Short version: AMA is amazing. Quit reading. Go sign up. :) Long version: Both my son and I are ninjas in training :-) and our contract was due a few months ago for renewal at the previous TKD school we attended for 2−½ years. Before making the decision to renew our contract with the other school, my husband and I did a li’l research checking out other dojangs. Primarily, we wanted to determine if there is a more suitable approach, higher level of instruction, challenge, and organization offered at other schools that is more beneficial to the family. We did a couple of trial classes at Action Martial Arts(AMA) and I was impressed at what AMA provides. We decided not to renew our contract w/the other school and signed up w/AMA. It has now been almost 3 months since we enrolled and I am pleased with this decision. AMA’s level of organization is remarkable. Families are notified of schedules, tournaments, belt testing, events, etc. well in advance either through social media, text messages, flyers, and so on. If you’re thinking this should be standard business practice, yes, I agree, but based on previous experience, I’m not used to this degree of organization. Certain days are designated for poomsae(forms), sparring, and techniques each week. The same state of the art electronic equipment(Daedo) used in many tournaments is utilized in training so competitors are well prepared. Not many dojangs seem to have this equipment available. Students are encouraged to take advantage of multiple classes not only per week but per DAY. For example, during sparring days, my son takes two back to back classes, on other days, he and I often take the family TKD class, then the Kickboxing class thereafter. The kickboxing class, by the way, is super fun and addictively(I just made up a word) challenging. AMA’s Masters and instructors are professional and amicable. The level of instruction, training, and discipline is remarkable. Students are given personal attention during classes. Meaning, if your technique is off, they will take the time to show you how to do it right. There are so many dojangs out there who just push kids through the next belt even when they’re not ready. This is not the case at AMA. Also, you will see all ages at this school. I’m surprised at the number of grown adults(as myself) who train there consistently. It’s a welcoming, respectful, friendly, and family-oriented environment. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and the décor is warm and accommodating. See for yourself, do a trial week there. Speak with Master Rigg. She’s so down to earth(as the rest of the staff), plus she’s funny as heck. I think her alter ego is a comedian. Forget about her being comedic during class though as she is all business. I also have much respect for Master Amador; he is «no-joke» in training. He’s got a hard exterior but I have a feeling he’s a big teddy bear outside of his professional arena. I’m just saying. :-)

After being a Loyal member of another studio for over 3 years in the Corona Area and leaving unexpectedly, we tried AMA and wow, I Now I wish we had started here in the first place! My kids LOVE it! The Studio is welcoming, with up to date technology for Sparring, A/C for the kids, a friendly team of Masters and Instructors and wonderful families that we’ve gotten to know. My kids never enjoyed Sparring before AMA, now they can’t wait to go! The Masters provide QUALITY Training with correct techniques. They give the perfect amount of disipline combined with encouragement and fun. I respect this Art and would recommend anyone who is looking for a school in Corona to attend AMA!!!

More like a family. You can’t ask for a more dedicated studio. I have two boys enrolled here, and they love it. We go 5 days a week, and if we can help it, we won’t miss a single day! The schedule of classes is very well organized, and they even have Taekwondo and kickboxing for adults. For the quality of training and care that the kids get, there isn’t a better deal than here. They are extremely professional in handling any kind of question or concern, so don’t be nervous or afraid to approach any of the masters or instructors. There are several masters and instructors that teach classes through out the day. Some of them are young, but very well trained both in skill and working with children. My youngest started at 3 ½, but there are students in there who started at 3. Bring your kids in to try out a class or two and decide for yourself.

This place is amazing! My nephew attends here with Instructor Rigg. Her teaching skills are amazing and unique making it easy for the kids to understand the techniques. After trying out multiple places, this is by far the best place and only wish I would have found it sooner.

My 3.5 son is part of the little dragons. We joined about 3 months ago and I see the difference in him as young as he is. We love Master Rigg and the rest of the staff is great as well. Looking forward to many more years for my son being a part of such an awesome martial arts school.

Our son has been attending here for two years and he has really grown since coming. He has learned discipline, courage, and respect from the instructors, and been excited to earn more with every belt. The staff are nice and have been very flexible with our families’ demanding schedule. Now they have this new location he loves it even more!

Ama is and amazing school. Hen I first my daughter up she was hesitant about what tae Kwon doe was all about after the first class this place was the topic the whole way home. She loves it! As is asking everyday” do I have class?” I have here two days a week. I have been so pleased and seen a dramatic change in her behavior and attitude she’s so respectful and courteous. Thank you so much master for all you have done. I look forward to spending many years here with you!

My kids(ages 8, 7, and 5) have been coming to AMA for the last 6 months and the changes I have seen in them are incredible… They attend classes 6 days a week and love every second of it. I have seen changes in their discipline, their willingness to partake in household chores, their grades at school, their attendance, their respect, and their overall attitude. I am SO grateful we were able to find a sport they love and that has helped to shape them in more than just the athletic arena.

My family and I have been coming here for almost a year… I have a 9 year old boy and a 7 year old girl and they both love it. It has thought them discipline and leadership. My husband join taekwondo as well and I join their kick boxing classes which I love. All the instructors are all wonderful people who dedicate them self’s 100% on the kids. The environment here is very safe, friendly, and very family oriented which we highly appreciate. I highly recommend coming here.

What I love most about this place is that all the instructors are very fair. They will not move your son or daughter up a belt until they’ve seen that they can do the work. Instructor Rigg is patient and explains things extremely well. Master Rigg does weight loss competitions for the parents, which are really fun. The environment here is safe and supportive: two crucial things a young martial artist needs to be the best.

Great school for young children and or family classes. Instructors are very friendly and they teach discipline politely. I signed up with my daughter for the Taekwondo classes. She was reluctant at first but now loves going. I highly recommend.

We have three wonderful and loving kids that have been taking TaekWonDo since they were about 4 and half years old. We want the best for our kids where they can learn respect, friendship and leadership so here we are and found the best school for them. We drive 10 miles one way but it is well worth the time and investment. We see our kids improving greatly! AMA(Action Martial Arts) is the best school ever after going through several Korean GrandMasters and Masters. Action Martial Arts is the school where you can find the Ying and the Yang. Action Martial Arts has the life balance for everything including non-stop action for teaching the kids and engaging parents how to live healthy life. This is one school where you get everything you need from TaekWonDo, Hapkido, Gumdo, Kick boxing and Weight Loss. Action Martial Arts is Super Great! Come and visit the school so you can experience it yourself. It’s like Disneyland for Martial Artists and enthusiasts. It’s like Universal Studio Adventure where you get the adrenaline pumping and want to come back again and again for more… See you soon!!!

I don’t know where to start! WE moved our kids from their previous school as there was NO organization and the Master was never there. HERE at AMA not only do they teach the art they care. If a child is not following in class they correct it. AND you do have to know your forms in order to test, what a concept. IT was the BEST move we have made in regards to their training and learning the art… AMAzing is what this school is. People who come in are always Happy, I have YET to hear anyone complain… Check them out and see for yourself. Thank you Grandmaster Amador & Master Rigg for taking care of our KIDS… AMAROCKS…

There should be 10 starts for Action Marial Arts because I can not say enough wonderful things about them!!! I have a shy daughter and a crazy son and they both LOVE taking taekwondo here from Master Amador and Master Rigg! My son who is almost 8 behaves like a different kid in class, he listens and follows directions. My shy daughter who is almost 10 actually speaks up in class and will even yell«Yes Sir!» I love this and all while learning the art of Taekwondo. If you are thinking of signing your kids up think no more … just do it. Go see Master Mary Rigg and she will get you all started. If you have two like me ask for the two for one special… in these trying economical times this really helps out. I’ve also just started taking kick boxing there and love it as well. Bottom line … best Taekwondo place ever! Update: Fast forward three years later and I now have two kids with black belts and we love our Action Martial Arts family more than ever.
