LOVE this place! Hot stone bibimbap is fabulous. My favorite soup is the curry tofu soup. SO good. My husband loves the sausage and cheese tofu soup. We always leave here fully stuffed. Waitresses are very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend.

Great food, great service I personally think this place would have been much more appreciated if it was located in Rowland Heights or more west than Corona.

Whenever I shop at the Ontario Mills outlet, I usually stop by Sushi Asahi to grab some AYCE sushi on my way back to Irvine. However, with summer bod on my mind. I decided it was best to avoid AYCE sushi at this time :) Corona Tofu hit the spot and was delicious and filling at the same time(cheaper too)! I ordered the Katsu(not even that healthy, I know) and the bf got the bibimbap + tofu soup combo(ham, sausage & cheese so I could steal some). The sides were delicious and regularly filled along with our waters. I don’t quite recall what time we got there but it was between meals so there were only a few other diners and the customer service was excellent!

I give 4 stars for its quality and 1 more star for the location. Finally, a solid Korean food place in Corona. Kid’s meal is also very good. Although it isn’t saying much, this place’s tofu is better than BCD’s stuff. However, the meat dishes are just okay. But do not expect too much from a tofu place. Just go with a tofu menu item.

We have only been in the area for a short time and had tried just about every type restaurant around. However, until a few weeks ago, we had not even bothered to check out this little place. I’m glad we finally did! Then Mother’s Day rolls around and the wife chose Corona Tofu of the many suggestions that we made that day. So we ended up going back and it was great once again. Id say, the service is consistently good and the food is actually an experience. Plenty of choices that will keep us coming back.

My boyfriend and I were so happy to find a tofu house that’s more local for us. This place is really good. One of my top 3 tofu houses in SoCal The Place — Parking is easy. They have a parking lot shared with other businesses. The interior is nice. And I’ve never had to wait for a table. The Service — I think this place is family owned. When they first opened up, I remember one of the servers telling us that. They’re very friendly. And very attentive. Always coming to check on us. And always encouraging us to try all the side dishes that come with the meal. I feel like I’m at a friends house or a family members house where they’re always like«you should try this. It’s really good.» And kinda come by again to make sure you tried it lol The Food — One of my favorite spots for tofu stew. Really good. I always order the mandoo(dumpling) tofu stew at «spicy» level. The tofu stew comes with purple rice in a stone pot cooked fresh for you. And a raw egg to crack into your bubbling soup. The side dishes are bomb. I love Korean banchan so I’m not picky. My boyfriend is and even he loves them. Specifically the fish cake and the potatoes. Also, they make a fresh Korean pancake for you as an appetizer or free side dish that we love a lot. I’ve ordered the ddukbokki once before(spicy rice cake). It’s very good. Nice spice level and kind of sweet. Served with fish cakes and a hard boiled egg. Wish there was mozzarella cheese on it though like other ddukbokki places do. Big serving for that dish though, had to take it home and the leftovers were even better the next day. The Verdict — I love this place. Don’t plan on finding a different place to get tofu stew locally. I always hope they don’t close down just because it’s not a high Asian populated area and I worry that there might be a lack of business for them. So I stay going as much as I can.

I have never had Tofu soup before. To be honest i found that it was not for me. Im not super familiar with Korean food in general. So I’m trying to be objective. I was craving ramen but this is completely different. However, even though I cant really rate the dish because i have nothing to compare it to, the experience was interesting, and this place is clean and friendly, more than can be said for some other places around here. And prices were reasonable. So even though the dish i got was not really for my taste, Im glad i tried it and ill probably come back sometime and try something different.

On a whim, stopped by because i was too lazy to drive to Chino Hills and I wanted some bibimbap. this is a basic review. but i would recommend this place. its clean, the banchan is good, prices are really good, and portions are good. also free green tea ice cream with a Unilocal check in. i think the only downfall is if youve had legit spots like bcd and youngdong, this place isnt as good. still good, but not up to par with the upper echelon of korean tofu houses.

Stopped by after realizing that this was the only open Korean hot tofu soup place open late night near where we were driving by. And by late night I only mean 9-something and couldn’t reach our other regular spots in a comfortable allotment(always take into consideration restaurant staff. Don’t want to be those people asking to be served right at closing time.). Everything was just average though. So if it’s your first time having Korean tofu soup, then please treat yourself to another spot. Otherwise, you’ll just have a mediocre experience and might not want to try it out again. Don’t do that to your tastebuds life. Parking was plenty. It’s the first establishment within a large plaza. Easy to get to. Remember: food adventures are out there. If at first you don’t succeed, then try another place. Ha!

Living in Eastvale, Corona Tofu is one of the closer Korean tofu soup places located near me. I’ve already tried the ones in Chino Hills and seeing that this place has four and a half stars, I was excited to try. Corona Tofu is located in the corner of a plaza right next to the street so it’s very easy to spot. Walking in, the inside doesn’t look Korean at all. However, they do play Kpop. I ordered the kimchi beef tofu soup and my table ordered the BBQ beef short ribs. Honestly, the kimchi beef tofu soup tasted very average. Nothing special. I feel like people gave this place a high rating because of its location and how there are very few Korean tofu places in the area. I’ve been to many tofu houses in Irvine, Diamond Bar, Rowland Heights, Chino Hills, and Westminster so I really think the tofu soups here are just decent. However, compared to other places, the prices here are considered inexpensive. They’re like $ 1 – 3 cheaper than most places, which is really good especially since prices are going up like everywhere. They also have slightly fewer side dishes than other places, but the portions are a little bigger so I’m fine with that. Also, the BBQ beef short ribs were very hard to bite and chew. It was a little frustrating. Don’t forget to check in on Unilocal for a free scoop of ice cream! I got the green tea ice cream and it was really good! Not only did the waitress give me ice cream, she actually gave everyone in my table free ice cream as well, which I thought was very nice. If I have a craving for Korean tofu soup, I’d most likely go somewhere else, but don’t get me wrong, this place serves decent Korean tofu soup. I wouldn’t mind coming back. If you’re in the area, come try it out! It’ll satisfy your cravings. 3.5 stars!

I’ve been eating Korean tofu in the area of Garden Grove, CA and it was good. But when we decide to try out this tofu place in Corona, it was delicious as well. Of Course there are some difference between corona and garden grove. Most Korean tofu place in garden grove will replenish small side dishes as it runs out. But we didn’t get that with Corona. I’m not sure if they do it or not but I never asked them to. Overall experience was good and we will definitely come back for more food later.

I was craving soondubu so we stopped by this place for dinner. We got a galbi tang & kalbi with mild seafood soondubu. The ban chan was pretty good. Galbi tang(3⁄5): it was pretty good but it was too salty Kalbi(2.5): there was less meat than I expected and the meat was okay Seafood soondubu(3.5÷5): there was a decent amount of seafood. I should’ve ordered medium spicy because mild wasn’t spicy at all. I don’t have a high spice tolerance although it’s gone up recently

I was skeptical that there would be a decent Tofu house in the Corona area, since we usually drive down to BCD in Irvine… but I can honestly say I’ll probably save myself the time and gas. This Corona Tofu House is surprisingly good. The price is pretty similar to any other Tofu house plus they have a decent combo options that are good in portion and taste. The side dishes were my favorite. They’re not your ”typical” side dishes that you would see at a tofu house, but these are the dishes I actually enjoy eating at a korean restaurant. I love the fried tofu, potato salad and kimchee. They don’t have the small fried fish side dish that usually will see at a tofu house but I was okay with that. The interior definitely reminds me more of a sushi house but that’s because it apparently used to be a sushi place before the owners decided to move towards a tofu menu. If you aren’t korean, you are allowed to basically expected to speak up if you need more water or side dishes, which can be hard for non-koreans to understand since usually servers keep checking on you at an American place. The servers were really nice older women and they were pretty attentive. The ham & sausage tofu was a family favorite. The medium spicy level is pretty spicy so be careful if you can’t take heat. Another recommendation is the dolsot bibimbap! Can’t go wrong with that entrée. Don’t forget the Unilocal check-in for free ice cream. The server was really sweet and brought a scoop for our whole table instead of just one scoop for me.

Food was great! They have lots of different kinds of tofu soup! The curry tofu soup is bomb! I love curry so I don’t know about you guys! Spicy will get you sweating like A waterfalls be. Careful to weaksauce spicy takers! The waitresses will comply to anything as long as you ask what you need(water, more side dishes, extra sauces!) There are some cuties here too! And I got a free green tea ice cream!

I had a lovely date lunch with my husband here, we had a blast trying out so many things, so many new flavors, great change of pace. We both went with the Bibimbap, beef for him and tofu for me, really no difference, my husband did not have one piece of meat. No matter, it was very flavorful and tasty. We both really loved the pancake they brought out, I could eat an entire plate of those, very tasty. The dumplings were also some of the best I have ever had, so crispy and again full of flavor. Very tasty sides brought out, also loved my pork kimchi soup, my husband had the beef and liked it as well. They bring an egg and crack it in the soup which is fun, also enjoyed the egg on the Bibimbap, still runny and perfect to mix in. The meal was perfectly rounded off with green tea ice cream, also very tasty. Service is exceptional, there are so many people working very hard here and each and every one was very nice. I hope they do well and am glad we stopped in!

The food was delicious! I would like to give a special shout out to my Unilocal peeps, Wendy, Cindy, Andrea, and Natalie for the recommendations in their Unilocal reviews. Natalie was kind enough to recommend a dish for me. This was my first time at a Korean restaurant. I have had Koren BBQ in the past but never a place where there is ban chan served. I figured it’s 105℉ out today, why not go try some spicy Korean tofu soup. Stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner. Place had a few customers but I wanted to get the party rocking since I brought my family along. It was very warm inside but I will look past that because it was super hot out today. I also took a coupon for a free kids meal that I found in those magazines that end up on our door. The cool thing about it was Ted our server(he was Awesome) still let us do the Unilocal check in for a free ice cream. He offered the ice cream to all of us but my daughter was only one to take him up on offer. My Unilocal compadre recommended the bbq short ribs and spicy tofu seafood soup. It was out of this world. So many new flavors. I had no idea this food existed and the worst part about it is that I have let all of these years pass without giving it a try. I had 2 Hites with it and was a perfect pairing. Be careful with the bowl it is served in. That thing is beyond hot. I didn’t know that you need to crack an egg in it but the server filled me in. He laughed because I put 2 eggs in it. I didn’t know that one was for my wife’s soup. My wife had the bibimbap. She loved it. My daughter had the free kids meal, terriyaki chicken with white rice, bowl of tofu soup, bag of cheez its and a juice box, regularly priced $ 8. My son is picky so he ate white rice and loved it. Overall, the food and service was outstanding. I cannot wait to return. I would like to give special thanks to Ted. He was very patient with us and gave us recommendations for our next visit. Total was $ 63 and left $ 15 tip. Very reasonable for all the food and 2 beers. Give it a try. Tell Jeff I said what’s up. Happy eating!

Not open but two weeks, actually Corona Tofu has the same owner as the prior business, a sushi restaurant. Smart lady to re-invent her restaurant. And a very pleasant, clean and spacious interior it is. Corona needed a nice Korean restaurant. Thankfully, our city is becoming very culinarily diverse, but with Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Peruvian, and Indian, and of course, in these parts, primarily Mexican food. It is apparent that the Korean community appreciated her wise decision to revamp the restaurant. There were many Korean customers coming in the day we were there. A very good sign for being open such a short time. Korean food is interesting in that you can set the heat index(in a «chile» sort of way). While I am a self admitted woos and can only tolerate a mild to moderate heat, the guy next to me can have smoke streaming out his ears, sweat pouring down his cheeks, and still have a smile on his face. Whew! This versatility is well-practiced with Korean food. Loved the sizzling platter of bulgogi, a thinly sliced, soy marinated beef, very flavorful and good quality meat. The platter was big, plenty to bring home to revisit another day. And the small iceberg salad that comes with the meal… it was sporting that zingy«pink» ginger dressing that I can drink with abandon. This one was really great! The Kimchee Pork Tofu soup was also a winner, however I would be testing the other multitude of choices before choosing this one again. I get a kick out of the(optional) raw egg they plop into the soup right before they serve it to you. A really healthy dish. The ban chan, some were a hit, some were a miss. The kimchee, spicy zucchini, and the marinated bean sprouts were a tasty hit for me. The others… meh. On the upside, they offer free refills. And let’s not forget to take advantage of the free scoop of ice cream at the end. Either green tea or plum flavored. Definitely use your check-in offer. Service was very good, but the food coming out of the kitchen was slow. I can imagine on a very busy day, a long wait for food should be anticipated. I wholeheartedly support trying this restaurant and look forward to their evolving menu as they introduce more foods I already am familiar with and love. The owner anticipates we will be seeing the beef short rib soup, the Galbi Zeem(a short rib stew) and a Chicken Katsu added to their menu. Yessss!
