Food is okay but super oily. Asked to made it spicy and told us put chillies in it. Came out 24 bucks for 2 people, gave the card they said there will be a dollar charge for card. Are you serious? How cheap can you possibly go? Check came back over 26 bucks, so it was actually more than a dollar. When signing receipt, lady stand there and look as we watch. Never coming back here again.

Riverside is starving for a great sit down Chinese restaurant, so I went to Corona. The food here was very delicious, served piping-hot from a screaming Hot Wok; you can tell the chef was a master. Delicious, crunchy vegetables, tender pork, all the classic Chinese flavors. I ordered the jumbo fried shrimp, which is the house specialty, large and fresh, but a little too thick on the batter. The hot and sour soup was perfectly balanced, with lots of mushrooms and crunchy water chestnuts. The Szechuan pork and fried rice were very satisfying. This is an old-school place that has hot mustard in big squirt bottles. I love it. For some reason though, the service was non –existent. My waitress did not fill my water glass once, or ask how the food was. That won’t keep me from coming back though.

Food is good, waitress has some serious anger issues.. From the moment I walked in i felt like I’d done something wrong just by being there.. Rude, impatient and abraisive. If you can get past that enjoy. Youve bern warned.

Food was mediocre(certainly nothing to recommend, unfortunately). Got pork fried rice, regular steamed rice, and the Hong Kong Nest appetizer platter — paid over $ 23(yes, over $ 23). Definitely not worth it. Customer service is awful: greeted harshly and practically demanding my order so the staff could move on. Interior of the restaurant is drab and in need of a major remodel or update. I’m not going to review the rice dishes as these staples are pretty much the same across most Chinese restaurants. The Hong Kong Nest appetizer platter needs serious work: –The«crab» wonton had absolutely no crab in it and very little cream cheese(as a matter of fact, the filling tasted more like mayonnaise) –The description says you get 2 egg rolls, but it’s actually 1 egg roll cut in half –The foil chicken is basically a small piece of chicken(probably about 1 – 2 in) sitting in an overly salty sauce and wrapped in foil… no bueno –The bacon wrapped shrimp & spare ribs were the best parts A few things to note when visiting this place: 1. Parking is challenging, so plan ahead 2. They only take cash. Credit card payments incur a $ 1.30 charge 3. The prices on their website are out of date(for example, the Hong Kong Nest appetizer is $ 1 more than advertised on their website) 4. If you place a take out order at the restaurant, expect to wait at least 20 min Overall, not impressed and not returning. I can get better service, food & value at a chain restaurant(did somebody say, Panda Express?)

Food was OK. Not the best chinese food. Wor Won Ton soup, Roast Pork Lo Mein and Singapore Chow were OK. If you want really tasty Chinese you need to drive to Monterey Park/Alhambra — «626» area code to get flavorful Chinese food.

Some of the best Chinese food I’ve ever had! Had the sesame chicken and the fried rice. I was going to take the fried rice home for the rest of my family, but it was so good I had to eat it all myself! The atmosphere is small and cozy, making it a great place to stop by and unwind with good food.

Very comfortable food for a cold weather, small, chop suey dish my favorite, orange chicken decent, egg rolls pretty tasty !! The only recommendation is: they need to remodel the place that way it can look clean.

Went in on Christmas. They were very busy but I still got great service and great food. I would recommend for sure. I also met the owner. You can tell she really cares about her customers. The same owner for 40 years. Where do you find that any more. Great please

So glad I found this place. I love great Chinese food and knew I couldn’t possibly be limited to just Star Wok or Panda Express in my area. The walnut chicken is amazing as was the appetizer platter. This will definitely be my go to for Chinese food. P. S. The Won Ton Soup is a must have!

The best Wor Wonton Soup I have tasted. Very nice and friendly service. The rest of the food I have ordered is pretty good, but what really has me returning over and over again is their Wor Wonton Soup.

I have been going here since I was a little girl. There food has always been a favorite of mine. Flavors are on point, good sized selection, and the staff has always been very friendly towards me(albeit sometimes slow, but seriously it isn’t a fast food joint and I can’t really expect instant service so maybe I’m just being picky). I remember when we’d go here when I was a kid and I always thought the décor was very neat and felt like I was taking an hours long trip to the far east. Now that I’m older, I can still appreciate it but do feel that the place might need a bit of a face lift. Then again, I don’t really mind as long as the food continues to be wonderful. Side note: I learned to love this place even more as an adult now that they have added a pretty awesome drink menu!

I’ve been looking for a place like this for many many years! Old school Chinese food like we used to have when we were little. With the porcelain plates, crispy noodles to start with the hot mustard and ketchup. Everything tasted amazing!!! The pork fried rice, so yummy. The service is wonderful. They are very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back. Over and over again!

Five stars for the quality of their food and freshness of their vegetables. I have eaten here since the 80’s and I will keep coming back.

We come here for Cantonese food, Chinese American style. They have been here a very long time, at least 44 years. Family run, they will remember your face and are always welcoming. They cater to a middle class community that is largely non-Asian, and hence, this could be why some Unilocalers have problems with authenticity. I personally am big on Chinese flavors. I am wildly crazy about exotic herbs and spices, loving stronger flavored ingredients. A good kick of ginger, five star anise, 5-spice, shiritake mushrooms, and/or sesame oil would bring tears of happiness to my eyes. This little restaurant still maintains recipes of the more«gentle» comfort food that we knew growing up, so their dishes can honestly be too bland for my taste buds, but here are some things I can recommend: This is one of the places we think of when we NEED war won ton soup, especially needed when a family member is feeling sick, or if the cold weather hits. Generous with tender shrimp and chicken, snow peas and bok choy, and homemade plump wontons, in a delicious, delicate broth, it’s filling and hits the spot every time. Mr. B typically orders a special stir-fry dish of soft tofu and fresh pork. Usually they try to add frozen peas and carrots, but we ask them to leave those out. It is a good sized dish, full of other vegetables too, and very satisfying. While cooked in a delicate black bean sauce, it is one that would probably please the more less adventurous Americanized palate rather than the more fermented flavors at some of my favorite authentic haunts. It is still quite good, just different. This is also a place I would entertain ordering the egg fu yung. You get three servings that are each slightly larger than the size of a hockey puck, but nicely cooked, tender, a very delicate flavor with a mild brown sauce and chopped green onion tops as a finish. The Hong Kong noodles(a not-so-thin egg noodle that is wok fried to become crispy around the edges) are ok, but not my personal favorite. Topped with plenty of lightly cooked vegetables and plenty of tender shrimp, I would have also preferred more than the light drizzle of sesame oil, but it was still ok. I have found two local places that I’d rather go to satisfy my Chinese cravings, but this one is still good for some things. And for the less worldly(and less snobbish) palates, it does a good job of bringing you good food, generous portions, and at an excellent price.
