I just had a great tuna cesaer wrap with an ice tea. It was spot on fresh! Food came out quickly. The only thing i would say is the probably have one to many tables in the front but go upstairs or in the back and your good to go. I’ll come back when i’m in coronado. I like the sunny vibe of the place

Great prices, my California omelette was awesome but the breakfast potatoes were dirty. My friends acai power bowl would have been good if there wasn’t a blonde hair in it… Cool place, could definitely use a food handlers refresher course. Nice people though!

I can’t believe the attitude I just received here. I ordered a smoothie at 7:30pm, and the cashier told me they’re already cleaning out their blenders, but don’t worry«no sweat, I just like starting things early so I’m not here for a million hours after. Not that that’s any of your concern» I perceived this as me inconveniencing her, and I’ve worked at a café before so I know what it’s like when you’re about to close and everything’s cleaned up, then you have to make something for that one last straggler. So I asked her what time they closed, she said«today 9pm» …Ok, so I’m thinking why are you trying to make me feel bad for ordering something off the menu during business hours? So I told her she didn’t have to do it if they’re cleaning up already, she says«well it’s already started» I don’t understand. When I was in her position, even if I were irritated I still would have put on a smile and not let the customer feel bad. But not only did her attitude bother me… it wasn’t even warranted considering they were still 1.5hrs away from being closed. Kind of ruins the«community courteous coffee shop atmosphere» But the acai smoothie was very good, so there’s a few stars. And the other guy was normal and nice.

I still frequent 1134 but I find that the downstairs seating is too cramped, that is the only true negative to this fine café.

You got a love a place that has hard-boiled eggs for breakfast. At least I do. We were in Coronado Island just for breakfast and to check out the Coronado hotel. We stopped in this cute little café and it was a place where you order upfront, they give you a little card to bring to your table and then they bring you your food. We each ordered a very fresh bowl of fruit. While they only had cantaloupe, honeydew and pineapple in it, it was very fresh and sweet. I also had two slices of wheat toast which were very good. My guy had two slices of sourdough toast along with granola with yogurt on top. All this was less than $ 25 and on Coronado Island no less. The staff was very friendly and they had really cool tables up at the top of the steps. I really did love this place I would definitely go back. They also had a bar in there that it looked like there were mostly locals sitting there. Very cute place!

Great place to sit and chill. Had an iced herbal tea. Workers are nice and do their thing well.

This place is a cool coffee place slash food joint. You go to the counter, order, and they’ll give you a number and bring the food to your table. They have omelettes, sandwiches, coffee, cookies, etc. There is an upstairs loft if you can’t find a place to sit downstairs or outside.

Adorable café filled with the scent of freshly baked bread. Came here to get some work done and the café presented a very nice environment to be productive in. The coffee was priced very well and pretty good. I saw that they had an extensive espresso menu, but I settled for just a standard café au lait, which was great! There is also free WIFI which is a huge bonus and lots of places to charge your computer if need be.

Really fun café. Reminds me a bit of Paris. Warm interior. Friendly staff. Great café mocha. Seriously chocolately. It was fun sitting outside and watching the people(okay honestly the dogs) going by.

Outstanding staffing and service compliments the tasty food and wide selection of teas. I’m especially impressed with the industrious and friendly baristas. These young women are great. If I had a food service place locally I’d offer them jobs! This is the place to come for tea and breakfast in Coronado! I’ll be back.

The customer service is poor here but the drinks are pretty tasty. We asked the barista what was recommended and she shrugged and said, «Whatever you like. «When I asked her about the pitaya smoothie and if it was recommended, she said, «I like it enough.: …ok, thank you for being so helpful. They have a cute little area in the back where you can go and read outside while drinking your latte. There aren’t a lot of cute coffee shops in Coronado in my opinion, so this place gets 3 stars.

My wife and I went here for breakfast earlier this morning 10/31/2015 we ordered the following: 1 Café Americano — Issue, not hot and tasted like it didn’t have any espresso in it. 1 California breakfast burrito with a request of no cheese. Issue, It came back with cheese. We return it and it came back with no eggs and no cheese. Seriously WTF?! 1 Mexicano breakfast burrito served with potatoes on the side. Issue, it came with fruits on the side and no potatoes. After communicating this with the waiter, he comes back with cold potatoes. Seriously for a $ 30 breakfast this place is horrible. Never coming back here again.

This has been our Sunday breakfast tradition for almost a year now. Café 1134 is amazing and never disappoints! The coffee is delicious — probably the best in Coronado — and even though they’re close to a Starbucks, they always seem to have a full house. Food wise, everything is great on the menu, but where they really shine is the soup! EVERYSINGLESOUPTHEYOFFERISTOPNOTCH. Seriously never been dissatisfied. Super friendly staff too, always smiling and helpful. Great beer selection as well if that’s your thing. They are pretty busy on weekends, especially sundays, but that is really a testament to how good they are so plan ahead if you come on a weekend. anyhow, best café in town!

I ordered the Roma Panini with Chicken and Veggie Soup. Soup was outrageously salty, I actually couldn’t finish :/ The bread for the panini was super bland and not flavorful(everything else it it was pretty tasty and fresh). You can serve yourself water, but its room temp tap water that’s in an Igloo cooler. One woman was drinking a drink behind the counter while making a drink, which I thought was a bit unprofessional(although she was nice and helpful). People were all nice, and the place looks good. I may give it another try at a later time.

If you want nice breakfast don’t go here. You need to order at register and then they scream out loud«coffee!» Blond young lady at the register looks tired and not nice, as well as food running girl. However food came pretty quick and was good. Potatoes was cold but I can eat it. The rest part of Cortez breakfast was good. I ordered mimosa and was waiting outside, it’s ended up you cannot have alcohol drinks outside and no one told me. My friend got coffee and said it was good. They don’t do eggs over easy or any other style except scrambled. Overall experience is ok, but it’s too noisy inside. Please ask your team to be nicer and people will leave then more tips

The coffee is good, the best i’ve had on the island. There is better if you drive across the bridge but even I’m not that high maintenance. The place is definitely better than its current 3.5 stars. I ate there with my family several times, we tried a variety of menu items and all were tasty. No one said«this is the best place i’ve ever eaten» but we keep coming back because the breakfast is good. The only negatives: parking is terrible(walk if you can), the bagels are pricey(brueggers is right down the road and better for the same price), and it gets VERY busy at breakfast(which should actually tell you that its quite popular. This does make seating tough at times).

Had the Iced Giana and two hard-boiled eggs. Prices are decent for Coronado. Coffee was great too. They also carry a lot of other options for food and drink, even beer. Patio seats are nice. I sat inside to be social.

Friends and I decided to try this place out while out in SD for the weekend. We needed a place to eat breakfast, and my friend decided on trying this place out. It’s located on Coronado Island so it can get quite busy, along with other place on that street. I ordered the European Style Omelette and Crème Brûlée tea, which I was expecting for them to make personally and be super amazing, but all they did was drop a tea bag in hot cup of water and that was it. I am definitely not paying $ 4 again for a small cup of tea. Overall the place can get crammed and it was hard to find seating. We were lucky enough to find seats upstairs, which again tables were so close together. Overall, my omelette was pretty good. It came with this salsa which went so well with the omelette, had a little kick to it, but that’s how I like it. Finished the whole thing, and was pretty happy from it. Only gave it a 3 star because of the tea, kind of overpriced drinks in my opinion.

Aside from not being able to find street parking nearby, this is a casual and quaint little café. They have indoor and outdoor dining. I wasn’t sure where to go for breakfast, so thanks to Unilocal,I was able to search for nearby breakfast/brunch places. After viewing the Unilocal photos and glancing at some reviews, my friend and I decided to dine here. We parked a couple of blocks away. At least we were able to get some walking exercise in, before and after breakfast. The line to order was a little long, but it went by pretty fast. There was a board in front that listed some of the menu items. They also have their menu listed on the wall near the cash register. Since the line was long, I decided to check out their menu online via Unilocal link. I noticed that their prices online doesn’t seem to be updated. Prices subject to change via website. They also have a Bistro menu with appetizers sandwiches, paninis, wraps, pitas and salads and a kids menu. I ordered the Popeye(eggs, sautéed spinach and mushrooms, jack cheese and sour cream). My friend ordered the European(eggs, sautéed mushrooms & onions, Black Forest ham and Swiss cheese). Your choice to order it as a burrito or an omelette, fruit or potatoes and a baguette. We both had them made as omelettes. I had fruit and substituted the baguette for wheat toast. The European order sides had potatoes and a baguette. I also ordered a medium iced vanilla chai with soy. We were given a letter to place on our table. The drink orders were called for you to pick up at the counter. Our food order was brought to our table. Breakfast was delicious! I’m glad I was able to do a little Unilocal research to find this café. I want to try their California omelette next visit. Great location to walk around after dining and enjoy the weather!
