With Eleanor’s closed on Sunday, I turned to Coffee Waves for my morning fix. Very competent! When we arrived early in the morning, the baked goods were a bit lacking(I guess no delivery had yet been made) but the cappuccino and drip we got were really pretty good. With this shop available, I can’t imagine heading to a chain. NB: the shop is big and spacious, and has board games to play too.

This coffee waves does not allow open OR concealed carry, there are 30.06 and 30.07 signs posted outside. I’d imagine the coffee is as good as any other coffee waves, but I can’t give my money to a business that doesn’t respect my right to self defense.

Awesome coffee shop. Lots of places to sit inside and outside on there patio. Lots of students studying there so come here if you need to get work done. I ordered the mocha frap. Loved it. My only complaint is that it was freezing inside. I wish more places in Corpus were as cool C.W.

I drove longer than I planned to, coming from Downtown area, but was overwhelmed with how good the service and the coffee was. The eateries are great too and the staff was a pleasure to talk to. This is my new hang out while in Corpus. I highly recommend it. And don’t worry, the drive is well worth it!

Nothin like a nice cup of joe at anytime of day. Lovely swaggy cool atmosphere where I could sit on my laptop and watch new episodes of scandal. Hell of a show. The coffee is also great, and the staff was super chill. Stay chill, sip sip surf lol!

Better than Starbucks! Plenty of places to sit and study with a good environment, plenty of options for drinks on the menu(I like white tea, they have it iced and hot), and the staff go above and beyond to welcome you. The owner here needs to teach customer service classes to other businesses, because he’s doing something right!

I am normally a big city Starbucks girl… Yeah yeah I know. But coffee waves had to have the most amazing chai tea latte I’ve ever had. It’s also a fun place to visit with friends and catch up over some gelato. I have met a fun number of people here and it’s generally a good place for small meetings too!

This place is really special! The atmosphere is very friendly, and it is definitely a college hang out. The gelato is amazing, and the sandwiches are pretty good too. I do not like coffee(ha!) so I do not come here very often.

Everyone comes here for the coffee but I come for the gelato! It’s the only place in corpus that I know of that his gelato! They have a nice variety of flavors and they taste great! Just wish they were close to home!

2.5÷5 Pretty ohk lattes, chill ambience, nice social scene, great for studying. Came here to work on some essays, ended up listening and enjoying the live music as much as their house coffee. They lack in food options, esp when you’re coming to study and are desperately hungry for food. I’ve only tried a couple of their espresso/tea items on the menu, but I thought that they were alright. this location also has a drive thru, but its right next to the parking lot, which causes a little bit of interference with people driving around looking for a parking spot.

Super cute beachy interior with a lot of local artwork. They offer free wifi. I recommend the«cold shoulder» — coconut and chai. It’s really iced. They also offer a bakery section and gelato.

I went to CC with my best friends for a couple of days and we were looking for something chill to do and found this shop as the only thing opened at that time. I can’t say much about the location since I do not live in CC but it is a spacious place with lots of sitting area and a lot of parking! It was packed when we came out so we parked on a nearby street. It looks a bit«sketchy» at night but hopefully the city fixes that by installing more light fixtures. There were only two workers when I came in, both very nice and had extremely laid back personalities, which enriched the shop with good vibes. They were somewhat knowledgable with the menu, and were helpful in picking a drink. They have pastries but only had three items left, and they have a selection of gelato which I didn’t get to taste. I got a cortado and was a bit disappointed. I know the drink itself is meant to be strong and have a rich flavor, but mine tasted almost burnt? That taste took away from everything else, but my banana nut muffin made up for it! Cute place but I’m sure I won’t return to corpus anytime soon. Still, I enjoyed myself very much that night at Coffee Waves.

We got there around 3 looking for a treat and a drink. The parking lot had about 16 spaces but was completely full. Luckily a spot opened up just as we had given up. The brick building is very quaint and looks welcoming. Upon entering, we saw that the only things in the pastry case were lame-looking sandwiches and a few sweet empanadas. I guess they don’t refill it throughout the day. The young guy at the cash register was condescending and unhelpful. He acted as if he had never heard of putting flavored syrup in coffee. The total for a 12oz Mexican Coke and a 16oz iced latte was $ 7.74… When my coffee was ready we hightailed it outta there. I tasted my iced latte with marshmallow syrup in the car… and realized that they hadn’t put any marshmallow syrup in there. At least, it had no marshmallow taste. Maybe the cashier was so offended by syrup that he left it out of the order? Ha. Not a pleasant experience.

Amazing!!! I am loving the smaller businesses that have stepped in and filled that local coffee shop feel that Starbucks has lost.

The coffee was fine. They were out of all food around 11pm which means that their sandwiches and pastries might be amazing. Service was great. Gelato looked good. People were either studying or just hanging. It was probably one of the nicer places I have been to in corpus so far.

Two energetic thumbs up for housemade gelato, expertly crafted artisan drinks and pastries in a hipster atmosphere – AND it has drive-thru service! What could be better?! Afogato – from the Latin«nectar from the gods served in a mug containing 100,000 calories of divine hedonism». I have to confess that I’ve never tried better gelato in Corpus! I love to order the pistachio espresso concoction and join the ten or twelve college students spread out with their laptops throughout the socially-designed Euro kaffeeklatsch vibe seating and relish every delicious, calorie-laden bite. Free WIFI, gorgeous pastries, brisk black and herbal teas make this place a head and shoulders above the rest! Waves is quickly becoming one of my favorite Corpus Christi landmarks!

I didn’t have a satisfying dinner, so we relied on our handy Unilocal app to end the night on a more pleasing note with a cup of decaf. My husband ordered a European style macchiato versus the Starbucks version with more added syrup and flavors. I ordered a soy café au lait and it was just perfect. In comparison to Hester’s, Stingers, Starbucks, I prefer Coffee Waves. The winds were whipping and this abnormal 30 degree weather was wearing on us. The perfect cup of coffee made it all better. Since they opened till midnight, this 10p.m. coffee run left us with plenty of time to enjoy our coffee. The Good– Stays open late, very inviting atmosphere, free WiFi, decent coffee, even has a drive-thru window for convenience, and I heard about their amazing gelato The Bad– None =) Support Local, Drink Local =)
