We LOVE Indigo Crow from their attention to detail in their meals to their service. We made arrangements for our wedding dinner to be here and continue to rave to family how fantastic it is. This isn’t a weekly visit place for us but we love it for special occasions.

In Unilocal rating world there is a wide space between a 3 and 4 rating. 1 or 2 are easy. The meal just did not satisfy, clear errors were made, food was poorly prepared. 5’s come along infrequently. When they do it is as if the skies have opened and the sun is new. The yeoman’s work of a Unilocaler is firmly planted in the space between 3 and 4. So I rated Indigo Crow 3. I really want to call this 3.5, but can’t in Unilocal. My grilled romaine salad was excellent. The fillet was ok. The wine was good. Atmosphere was dinghy. Staff was nice. Clearly, a mixed-bag. You understand my dilemma. If you see reviews of 4, they are probably right. Their collection of experiences were skewed slightly better. The conclusion is, read this as a 3.5 rating and know that your experience will fall somewhere between 3 and 4 at Indigo Crow.

I have been wanting to try the Indigo Crow for a while, but their dinner prices are high enough to categorize it as a «special occasion only» restaurant for us. However, every time a special occasion came up, it seemed like we ended up somewhere else and then remembered about the Indigo Crow afterwards, and then said«Oh yeah, we need to try it sometime». Also, my husband and I don’t eat out for breakfast/lunch/brunch very often at all, and to be honest we never even thought about going to Indigo Crow for anything other than dinner. It wasn’t until we were invited to brunch here by someone else that we realized it was an option. I was looking forward to finally trying this place. I will say that we were a large party of 15, so I was trying to take that into consideration, but even so there were too many service related issues that keep me from rating this place higher than I did. The first thing is that we had a reservation at 11:00, and weren’t seated until about 11:20. To be fair, I wasn’t the person who made the reservation so I don’t know how much advanced notice was given, and I don’t know if patio seating was requested at the time of the reservation or not until we arrived, and I realize they can’t control how long it takes other tables to leave and they did have to put several tables together to accommodate our party, so I could have overlooked that if it ended up being the only issue we had, but unfortunately it wasn’t. By 11:25, everyone was seated and our drink orders taken. About five minutes later, at 11:30, our food orders were taken, and though we had not received our drinks yet, our server informed us that our drinks would be coming shortly. At 11:45, 20MINUTES after ordering our drinks, they were finally brought to the table. Not a single person in our party ordered anything alcoholic from the bar, only coffee, tea, water, juice, and soda. Also, there were no available drinks listed on the menu, either alcoholic or non-alcoholic, nor any seperate drink menus given to us. It would have been nice to know what all of the beverage options were prior to ordering, without having to ask. At 12:00, the plates of food starting coming out. This was only about 30 minutes after we placed our food orders, which I initially thought wasn’t too bad considering the size of our party. Five people in our party got their dishes while rest of us waited, assuming the others would be right behind. After another 10 minutes, we received another five or six plates, and several minutes later, the rest. I realize that with large parties it’s not always possible to have everyone’s food come out at exactly the same time, but my husband has a large extended family and we often go out to eat with a similar sized party(sometimes larger), and we don’t typically have issues with drinks taking so long to arrive or everyone’s food coming out so sporadically. Maybe they just don’t have the capacity to handle large parties? Nonetheless, that doesn’t excuse the fact that the service practically stopped altogether once our meals were finished. One person in our party was celebrating a birthday, and someone else brought a dessert, and while the server did provide plates and silverware, he did not come back to check on us or to refill anyone’s drinks after we had finished our meals, while we ate our dessert. Maybe they don’t like it when patrons bring their own dessert, but they also did not ask if anyone would like to order any other desserts, and gave no special acknowledgement to the birthday girl. My husband kept trying to get the attention of a server to get a coffee refill, to no avail. I had noticed a carafe of coffee and pitcher of iced tea sitting on the table by the door for quite some time, so after a while with no acknowledgement from a server, I got up, grabbed the coffee, brought it to the table to refill his mug(and checked to see if anyone else at the table wanted some) and put it back. I intended to also grab the pitcher of tea to refill my glass and the others at the table, but there was something floating in it from being left outside uncovered, so I didn’t, and as a result no one else got any refills. I do have to say that I really enjoyed the ambiance of the patio setting, and it was a perfect day to enjoy it. The food, while good, I felt was a little underwhelming for the price. It was fresh, but under seasoned(except for the green chile sausage which was flavorful, the eggs and potatoes were not seasoned at all, so I felt it was nothing special). Overall the portions were on the smaller side, and those that ordered the traditional breakfast with ham received two tiny little bites of ham, and no toast, tortillas, muffins, etc. were offered with any of the breakfasts and in fact, no bread service was provided at all prior to the meal. While I at least enjoyed the company I was with, I am not inclined to go back and pay the much higher dinner prices given the service and value.

Worst Mother’s Day brunch ever. wannabe haute cuisine. first course was supposed to be salmon on a potato cake, it was literally a tiny piece of salmon on 2 pinches of hash browns. 3 prime ribs ordered medium rare were all completely rare. after the server made us slide the steak off onto a another plate ourselves, the kitchen returned it completely overcooked. Lobster eggs benny was not poached, was hard-boiled and couldn’t find a drop of lobster. Desert was a single truffle, probably from Trader Joe’s, with an unripe single strawberry. Not only a horrible brunch, but a complete embarrassment to take our mom there.

My husband and I exchanged our wedding vows and decided on Indigo Crow for our small celebration afterwards. The staff was so lovely and were appreciative and respectful of the 4 kiddos under the age of two we brought along. Moreover, the food was excellent. I had the ribeye, and it was the best steak of my life. Truly special. Crusty seared exterior, super tender meat with tremendous flavor. I passed it around because it was huge, and I still had a full 8 oz for leftovers. We also had the fondue which was a bit soupy but with good flavor. And brie was quite nice. Everyone enjoyed their meals, and our seating was quite ideal near the patio windows on a beautifully dreary day. Thanks, Indigo Crow, for a special evening.

Changed rating from 5 star to 3 star. Went with a group of regulars…8 of us. Expected to pay a tip due to group. Indicated tip was 19% when we normally tip 20%. BUT that tip also applied to tax and to alcohol. NEVER tip on tax which is ridiculous. NEVER tip on wine since it is usually marked up 300% and then taxed. For example, one $ 9 glass of wine becomes roughly $ 10.71! It caused all of us to be uncomfortable… and we are regulars there! Keep in mind, it was a group so we couldn’t control the tip or how it was applied. Bad for business and half said they wouldn’t be back!

I was introduced to Indigo Crow by the locals. I would have never found it otherwise. The atmosphere was very nice — a fire was burning in the main room. The place is cozy, but not too small and smothersome. But the food?! OMG! I can’t speak for all of it, unfortunately, but the Mac & Cheese is mouth watering amazing! And unlike any I’ve ever had. The pasta was plenty cheesy with a variety of cheeses, but then they added ham and green chiles. Spicy, rich, delicious!

Came several months ago with my mother and my girlfriend celebrating my girlfriend’s birthday. I asked the hostess if she had a table by the window she said no they were all reserved even though the restaurant was mostly empty and no one was seated at the tables for the hour and a half that we were there. No worries was not about to ruine the night for a minor details. I order the rib eye which i believe was $ 32 .however, I was truly dissapointed it was mostly fat… our server was good, very knowledgeable about the food and attentive. Overall I spent $ 150 for dinner which I did not enjoy at all. As we left no one had the common courtesy to acknowledge our presence and wish us a goodnight. Would not return.

A coworker recommended we go here while we were in town for work. I’m glad we went! A cute little place just of the beaten path with a nice warm fire on a cold winters night. The service was excellent. We explained that we were starving and our app order was rushed in. We shared the fondue and truffle fries. I wasn’t very impressed with the fondue, but the truffle fries were excellent. We reach ordered our own wine flights. I think we were all happy with the selections in our flights. I ended up ordering the special for the night, which was a filet with prawns on a bed of risotto and veggies on a skewer. Awesome! The filet was so tender it just melted in my mouth and the prawns were perfection. Even though I was stuffed, I had to try a dessert since they were made fresh that day. I tried the carrot cake, which was great. Overall a wonderful experience… great food, great ambiance and great service

Went there around 5 o’clock on Saturday we were the only ones there, I know it was early for dinner but I was starving. Ordered beef teriyaki that left something to be desired. There was little to no flavor… just beef on a stick with ginger spread on top… interesting. We also order shrimp which was ok but probably the best item out of everything that we ordered. They had a special with filet wrapped in bacon with a lobster tail. Sold. I asked for it medium well because I’m still learning to eat my meats more rare.(Long time Mexican habits of eating crispy carne asada). I receive my plate some 20 – 25 minutes later. Well the meat was rare. So rare parts seemed raw even. The wrapped in bacon part was literally half a piece of bacon on one corner of the filet. The waiter never came back, I think he was bar tending too, so I just ate the lobster tail. Which was ok. I took the raw steak and cooked it at home added more seasoning and only then was it delicious. My boyfriend said his food was ok. He had a rib eye. He did mentioned his asparagus were horribly over done. For $ 107 for this meal(without drinks) and the drive to it no way is this place worth it. Save your money and go some where good were they actually know how to cook.

I could not recommend this restaurant to anyone. A few things have brought me to this conclusion. First, I made the reservation several weeks in advance mentioning it was to celebrate a birthday. I also requested that we sit by the fireplace. We showed up for our reservation and were seated by the fireplace, which was very nice. We ordered the fondue appetizer, which tasted alright. On recommendation we ordered a bottle of the Decoy merlot which was very nice. I had the special of the evening, a 16oz ribeye with a gorganzola cheese topper, mash, and mixed veggies. The ribeye was a little under cooked(ordered medium rare) and was served cold. My gripe with the steak was that the gorgonzola topper was supposed to be a sauce, but instead it was a cold cube of what looked like butter on top of my steak. It didn’t melt, either. The steak had little flavor, and the spread that was served over the top was overly garlicy. The mash and veggies were ok. My date had chicken and prosciutto pasta that she said was pretty good. She finished it, so it was at least edible. Dessert, this is where things really went south for me. I had mentioned it was a birthday dinner while making the reservation. I didn’t expect them to bring dessert or wish my girlfriend a happy birthday, but it would have been nice. The table directly next to us was brought a very nice looking dessert with a candle and a scoop of ice cream and I heard our waiter wish her happy birthday. We ordered dessert anyway, the crème bruele. We were served a DISGUSTING example of what crème bruele should be. The custard was possibly curdled(lumpy and tasteless) and the bruele was scorched and inedible. It tasted awful. We each had a bite and left the rest. It was quite obvious that we were unhappy with our dessert, and when the waiter brought our check I saw him starring at our uneaten dessert. He never offered a replacement or to take it off the bill. Our bill was over $ 160 for 2 people, and the quality of food does not reflect in the price paid. For a $ 35 ribeye I would have expected a bone-in prime cut. What I was served was not only not bone-in, but it was tough, undercooked, cold, and flavorless. The bottle of wine was about the only saving grace in the whole evening.

Our favorite place for dinner. Never been disappointed with anything we have ordered. The Sunday brunch is also very good. Nice atmosphere, and it’s tucked away nicely in Corrales. I highly recommend this place.

I really enjoyed my filet dinner($ 31), which was 8oz beef tenderloin, green chile & gorgonzola cream sauce, garlic mashed potatoes & grilled asparagus. The wine list was decent. I felt the service was inexperienced and sloppy. The patio at sunset in the summer, however, is gorgeous. I’d bring my out of town guests here if I could be guaranteed better service. We’ll stick to El Pinto and Marcello’s for now.

Delicious food, good service, and a fabulous ambiance. When the weather permits, there is a terrific outdoor patio. Corrales is a great place to spend a Fall afternoon, especially on a patio with good wine. I had a delicious ahi salad that had layers and layers of flavor, and a nice crisp sauvignon blanc. The kid asked for the mac and cheese without the green chile, which of course they obliged. Can’t wait to go back for dinner.

I can’t believe I had this bookmarked for a year before I managed to get over there. And it’s not that far. I’ve got no excuse. It was wonderful, by the way. The patio is lovely with a nice wall keeping you from the traffic noise, trees, pretty lights in the evening. I sat inside, where the place just oozes charm and local flavor. The fireplace, the different dining areas, the dark wood … comfortable and inviting. We both had wine flights so we had eight wine glasses on the table and there was still room for the amazing scallops, the unusual catalina salad, and the mains — he had the steak and I had the duck, both great and perfectly prepared. The salad is the only thing I wouldn’t order again. I was expecting to see components, but it was a chopped saled with everything mixed in and then presented in a cube form. Interesting, but I needed to pick out the egg and he needed to pick out the avocado, and neither of us could do that the way it was served. Live and learn. Desert included amazing key lime pie and maybe the best bread pudding with berries ever. The only reason it isn’t five stars is because although we had a great server, the place still had that Albuquerque«something is not quite right here» feeling. Maybe it was the three forks on the ground under a neighboring table. Maybe it was the open back door with an employee sitting on a step having a smoke. Maybe it was the gang of staff at the hostess station when we came in. It’s always just a little off in this town. Always. But I would come here again. And again. I would bring guests here. I look forward to trying it again for lunch, or maybe brunch, and I hope you will, too.

Very disappointed for the second time. I had high hopes but the food is not even worth eating. Nothing I have ordered has been tasty enough to finish. Stick with their wine list if you have to go. Unfortunately another restaurant that fronts as high end but serves poor food. I think they have declined greatly over the years, and are using cheaper ingredients.

I ordered the wedge salad and it was quite disappointing. When the plate arrived i immediately noticed that the plate looked unappetizing: the dressing was watery, the lettuce was less then fresh, and the bacon and tomato toppings were skimpy. I should have sent it back and asked for something else, but the company I was with loves the restraint and the owners so I decided to stick it out and not spoil our meeting. The other layers of lettuce weren’t fresh and crispy enough to cut, so they got left behind on the plate. The dressing was not only watery, but it was lacking in flavor too. The highlight of the meal was the seared tuna that I added to my salad. It had a spicy crust which was delicious and it was perfectly seared — not over cooked. The only problem was the watery dressing ran all over my plate Ina soupy mess and the tuna got some of the gross dressing on it. I may go back and t y Indigo Crow again, but I sure won’t get the wedge salad. Maybe I’ll just have tuna!

Three years after I posted my first review of Indigo Crow, I am still a HUGE fan. They consistently provide outstanding food and service and I have yet to find another restaurant here that can compare even closely. For lunch, I still highly recommend my suggestions from my first review: Ahi Tuna salad, beef skewers, but also the grilled romaine salad add chicken. For dinner, I HIGHLYRECOMMEND the lobster ravioli. It is so incredible that my mouth is watering just thinking about it. That said, you cannot go wrong with the Ahi Tuna dish or the Duck. You cannot really go wrong with anything on their menu, in my opinion, which is the genius behind such an excellent restaurant. For dessert, the key lime pie is divine!

This unrivalled restaurant is tucked and nestled in the quaint & charming village of Corrales. Let me first say that I love to support local and this place has all the bells & whistles~~ friendly staff, rustic & cozy feel especially during the holiday season, and the most appetizing food you can imagine. I have ordered many delectable plates but the ones that make my mouth water are the«Ahi Tuna Sandwich, Catalina Salad and YOU must always order the baked brie en croute simply delightful! Anything you order will be incredible as these chefs have passion & pride for all the dishes. You must also go during Spring to enjoy the lovely & serene patio they have, quite endearing I must say. So if your looking for the one and only location in a comfortable atmosphere with all the pizazz you must try Indigo Crow, where good food, wonderful ambiance and excellent service is packaged in one!

Nestled in the little village of Corrales, the Indigo Crow, brings you fine dining in a casual atmosphere at a slightly more reasonable price than other places that are just as good. I made a last minute reservation and upon arriving we were sat immediately, right next to the toasty fire place to boot. I was pleased with the wine list, not floored, but pleased. A nice selection with varying prices to suit any budget. Soon after ordering our wine the server brought us a small plate with garlic bread and herbed oil for dipping. I’d go back just for that bread with it’s chucks of garlic. Everything on the menu sounded delicious, we started with the crab cakes with red chili aioli. The crab cakes were just so slightly over done, but put together well and delicious as expected. My date had the pork loin with garlic mashed, kale and peppers. I thought her pork was a bit bland but the garlic mashed was killer. They gave her enough food that she couldn’t finish it all, nice job Crow! I was torn between the duck and the the rack of lamb, two of my favorite dishes, both of which are easy to screw up so they are a good gauge for the skill in the kitchen. I opted for the bone in lamb chops with risotto, carrots and spinach. I asked for the lamb rare, it came rare, melt in your mouth! The spicy blackberry glaze was excellent, I could have eaten that on anything. Sides never thrill me but the risotto was very good and the spinach and carrots were sauteed just right. Our server was excellent… friendly, attentive, and kept our glasses full. I think he even laughed at my jokes, here’s 30%, keep up the good work!
