I had a fill and gel polish on Tuesday. It was my first visit to the salon. By Tuesday night the polish was peeling off two of my nails. When I went back in a very nice lady helped but another employee was not happy she had to pause on her manicure for my repair. By the next morning the polish was peeling again.

I’ve been coming here since it was originally called Siciliano Nails… probably 10 years. Kim runs the show and is always friendly and courteous. They steam clean all instruments, the massage chairs are awesome and they’re good and quick with their mani/pedi. Only reason I give them a 4 star is because they’re always booked and sometimes it’s hard to get in. Other than that, I love this place.

I have been coming here for years and just love it. The ladies are so nice and welcoming and always make me feel good. They pay excellent attention to detail and my mani/pedi always lasts a long time regardless if it is gel or regular polish.

My daughter and I called for an appointment and wanted to have a mother daughter day. We were told to come in at our scheduled time. We were greeted nicely but there were a dozen people in the salon which is a VERY small place. Really really bad mani/pedi. They gave no attention to us and people just flooded in the door with no appointment. Don’t get me wrong the ladies at every nice but only interested in quantity not quality. If I’m paying good money I want to be taken care if and remember we had an appointment. After cutting my nail and making my toe bleed I got literally a 15 second foot massage. I’m not exaggerating. My mani was the same. I asked for clear polish she put ridge filler on(which has a white tone) and no polish. We will never go back. Crystal Nails in Terra Linda is the best. Great prices lots of personal attention. Sorry Nail Connection.

Great place. Very friendly woman, good service, enjoyable selection of gossipy magazines(exactly what you want when having your nails done!), nice array of colors to choose from. Never a problem with walk-in appointments.

I want to love this place, I really do. It’s next to The Dailey Method, which makes it so convenient(great workout, then mani/pedi) but man do they make it hard to love them! I walked through the propped open door at 10:45 and saw two ladies eating noodles in the back. They looked at me and went back to eating, which was fine as it gave me time to select my color. I selected color and sat in a chair and they said, «May I help you?» I felt it was pretty obvious what I wanted and since no one else was there, I wasnt too worried about them being too busy. I asked for a mani/pedi and they sighed, got up and came over. While one woman did my pedi and the did my mani, a woman walked in asking for the same thing. They said, «No. Too busy.» I assumed they must have had a lot of reservations at 11am. A second lady came in and they said the same thing. At 11am another lady came in, but this time was the owner or manager. No other customers came in. I have no idea why they said no to the two women who walked in, but in the 45 – 50 minutes I was there, the two women did only my nails. And badly at that. The pedi looks good, but the mani. Awful. The old polish(clear) was not completely removed from my nails, so now I see the marks where it was on two of my nails. I again wanted clear and they gave me one coat, which I like so it doesnt peel off so quickly. 24 hours later, the polish has peeled off of 3 nails. If it werent for the cleanliness, I’d give ‘em one star. No one wants to spend $ 40+ and have the women sigh and roll their eyes!

Me and my daughters love this place. They are nice, the service is quick and the chairs are really comfortable. It’s one of our favorite rituals.

I’ve been coming here for more than 6 years now. They are very nice and do a great gel manicure. The salon is very clean and they have a good selection of colors.

Totally worth the living social deal for a gel manicure and pedicure… Is it worth the full price, eh, maybe. The gel nail manicure was fine. Actually the coolest thing about this particular place was the amount of colors to choose from, though I imagine more colors are coming out at all nail salons. It was really well done. Though I don’t know that it was a different experience than any other place I’ve been… meaning there is nothing that would make me go to Nail Connection instead of another that happens to be three blocks from my office… But, the pedicure was very good. The products were very clean, the massage chair nice… the lady was super sweet… and my nails look great. But she spent extra time massaging my calves which I love… and even pulled out hot stones… whoa. Where did they come from? So yes, for a pedicure I would be back… because it was above the services I have received elsewhere…

i used my living social voucher and had the gelish and«deluxe» pedicure. 2 women worked on mysimultaneously. the manicurist used her dirty fingernails, to clean mine, and my pedicure was mediocre and only lasted a week before chipping. Once my gelish started peeling, i returned to have it removed. I couldn’t believe they actually charged me again($ 5) to remove it, not to mention the crappy state it left my fingernails. I most likely won’t return, and i definitely wouldn’t pay full price($ 80).

Went twice for a pedicure. The quality of the pedicure was good and the environment was clean but the service was horrible. During my first visit, the attendant proclaimed that the three blond hairs on my big toe was bothering her and that she wanted to wax it. Eeegads, who knew I had a couple of hairs on my toe? Not me, but far be it from me to stand in the way of a beauty expert. I told her rather sarcastically that I wouldn’t want her to be bothered so, «by all means, wax away». I was a little put off by her mannerism but the place is close to home and the pedicure I got lasted a decent amount of time so I went back. Apparently those pesky toe hairs had returned because as I was starting to dose off in the spa chair, I was awakened d from my semi conscious state by my attendant plucking the hair off my toe. So the dialog went something like this: Me — «ouch, what are you doing?» Attendant — «plucking the hair off your toe, it bothers me.» Me — «stop it, that hurts!» Attendant — «There are only one or two more» — and continues. Me — «are you kidding me»?! Ok, so then I was thinking, «I just need my pedicure to be finished so I can pay the bill with no tip and get the heck outta here.» She finished the pedicure and I went back to relaxing in the spa chair while I waited for my toenails to dry. I decided to try another type of massage the chairs offer so pushed a couple of buttons. As I was trying to get the spot I wanted the attendant, who was working on another client by this time, jumps off her stool, runs over to me and grabs the remote out of my hand. She said, «What button did you push? the chair is making loud noises!» and turns off the massage chair. Will the third time be a charm? I’ll never know as it will be a cold day in hades before I go back there!

Popped in here for a quick mani/pedi after getting my ass kicked next door at the Dailey Method. The ladies that work in there are very, very nice and talkative, and they do a great job. The salon is extremely clean, and everything they use is santized right in front of you(which I LOVE!). And, shock of all shocks, they are reasonably priced! Only reason I didn’t give 4 stars? The massage portion of the mani/pedi was non-existent. After I get my ass kicked in a workout, I kinda want my feet rubbed. Other than that, great salon, and I will def. go back!

I refuse to go to nail salons that only have spa chairs, because I’m deathly afraid of catching a fungus. I won’t know how good my pedicure is until 2 weeks later, but this is the cleanest salon I’ve been to for a $ 25 pedicure. They use disposable liners for their foot-soak tubs(no spa chairs in this place!), and I think their tools are autoclave-sterilized. Also, I’ve noticed it’s incredibly difficult to find reviews of nail salons in Marin County, so I hope if you read this you will write about your favorite nail salons in the area.
