Long Island Bagel

This place is amazing. «The Italian» bagel sandwich is so delicious, and so are the breakfast bagel options. The «sweet tart» smoothie is just too good. I think I’m addicted. The staff there is always so nice and accommodating. I literally can’t say enough good things about this place.

This Cortland, NY bagel shop has it going on.
On this Friday morning when school is out of session, there was no wait, full selection of bagels and homemade cream cheeses, and plenty of friendly chatter.
My Onion Bagel with Spicy Veggie Spread was excellent. The bagel was crunchy on the outside and softly textured and flavored within. They really hit it right with their recipe.
The cream cheese spread was lightly spread per my request, but loaded with extra pieces of Jalapeño to give it a kick in the ass. It kept me company for hours on the drive to the border.
Why is it the «Long Island Bagel?» The owners are from Rochester, NY. They explained that a large portion of the SUNY-​Cortland student body comes from Long Island, and they were marketing to them. They wanted them to feel a piece of home while way from their bagel heaven.
It must be working, even in summer.
This place is a keeper.

Great bagel shop! Lots of different homemade cream cheese spreads and big bagels! Once you have one, the cravings will keep coming– be warned! Saturday morning when the college is in session there can sometimes be a little wait for the bagel, but it is worth it!
