Old run down building. Seats are ripped and thread bare and very uncomfortable. Ceiling tiles show signs of lots of roof leaks. Obvious the owners are not maintaining the place

Worst ever. Every seat torn and stained. Popcorn not worth the price. Flat soda. Clearly bored employees. Don’t waste your money.

This theater is all about the basics but the prices and lack of crowds make it a good place to see your regular flick. Something with a lot of special effects, yeah we go to the mall at Ithaca so see Harry Potter. But for regular movies, the prices are way better, no flashing lights, rarely a crowd or line, and parking is within feet of the door.

I recommend this place if you don’t care about environment to watch movies. I love movies so much that I went here often. Otherwise, it was off to Ithaca or even once Binghamton. The theater had definitely seen better days, and a few times the bottoms of my shoes were sticking to the floors, but it can be an acceptable theater. I think a plus side is either cheaper prices which could be attributed to a student discount? I’m a little foggy. Bottom line: If you are a poor SUNY Cortland student like I was, then this probably will suffice. If you must have a good movie experience and environment go to Ithaca, Syracuse, or Binghamton.

Don’t ask me how it’s happened, lets just say I’ve been bribed, or better yet, lets just say I’ve been«made an offer i don’t refuse», but I’ve now seen all 3 of the Twilight movies, the first two at 12:01 am premieres. While on the road up here in Cortland, Debbi Faye and Melissa Leigh decided that we should see this third installment, «Eclipse». This theater is somewhat old and a bit rough around the edges but it has that small theater charm going for it. I think there’s four or so screens here. If I and my crowd grew up here we would have definitely been sneaking in a lot because there is no ‘ticket taker” guarding the actual theaters and the exit door is blocked from view of the cashier and the candy counter. You can see how my mind works. The popcorn was good and sufficiently buttered. The seats were worn and not of the semi reclining variety you find«nowadays». but they did have drink holders. I don’t believe there’s another movie house within 20 or so miles so there is no competition. Cortland has the skinniest Yellow pages I have ever seen. As for the movie I don’t get the big dilemma that«Bella» is tortured with. She MUST choose between Edward, the vampire who sparkles in the sunlight rather than exploding in flames like most film vampires; or Jacob, the mostly shirtless wolf shape shifter, not really a werewolf but a Native American wolf person. There is even a joke in the film about Jacob’s lack of t-shirts, but the guy is honestly quite«cut», so who can blame him? To be with Edward, Bella must die, at the hands, or mouth, of a vampire, a messy and terrible way to go, and go through horrible pain as a newbie vampire. Pluses are she will never age and can collect really cool antiques and be wealthy. Oh yeah and another negative is Edward won’t make love to Bella until they are married, despite the fact she is ready to go right now! To be with Jacob, who turns into a really cute giant wolf, she doesn’t have to die or anything and he’s ready to do the ‘horizontal tango’ whenever she is. Jacob is hot blooded and can keep her warm at night when camping in a blizzard in the Washington mountains, while Edward is ice cold to the touch. Fire and ice? Negative of deciding on Jacob is that his tribe lives on a reservation and they are extremely poor. Still the choice seems clear to me, go with the wolf dude Bella! Better yet, why not a really freaky threesome? Next movie I hear she cheats on both of them with Frankenstein.
