It’s okay. Not exceptional. Portion sizes were small and my meal was cold. Taste wise the tofu scramble was good just not worth the cost. My brother got the super burrito — not quite as super in size as we expected. My moms pesto bagel was exceptional tho.

I have been coming here a lot and I have to say, their coffee is very good. Definitely the best coffee place that is close to the OSU campus. It is also a very awesome place to gang out and have a cup of coffee. The atmosphere feels very relaxing and the service is very friendly. As for their coffee, I usually order the caramel latte. The taste has the right balance between bitter and sweet and I love how they made the latte art when it was brought it(usually it comes out as a leaf or a heart.) The food that they served was organic and I can see myself definitely coming there again.

So there is this one table that I’ve never sat at that’s weird. It’s in front of the espresso machine so it seems like it’s where people wait for a drink to go, but also friends of workers sit their. A sociable table. Interzone also has a picture of a cartoonish Nick Cave which is comforting. I’ve heard Dinosaur Junior and Sonic Youth on the stereo so that’s cool. Also Los Peyotes, but the barista that played them is gone I think.

Your standard local coffee shop. Reasonably priced good tasting coffee. We didn’t know that we were supposed to grab the coffee ourselves which caused some confusion but other than that nothing negative to note about this place. The atmosphere was laid back. Art for sale on the walls. People I was with ordered bagels and everyone seemed content with their choice. Good place for a hang out and studying, would go here again.

Local hipster café with delicious organic vegetarian and vegan weekend brunch. Their coffees are really really good also.

Slowest service ever makes this a one-star establishment, regardless of the food. I ordered two bagel sandwiches and waited over 20 minutes for them to come out… Ridiculous! I can’t imagine how that works during school, if hungry students come in before class and wind up waiting forever for their food. And they weren’t toasted, which is weird for a bagel sandwich(I’m accustomed to most places toasting their bagels for sandwiches). Furthermore, one bagel was significantly larger than the other, by nearly 50 percent. This makes zero sense to me, as the counter display bagels were all the same size. Taste-wise, the bagel sandwiches were decent. The fried egg was seasoned aggressively, making it quite yummy. The ingredients on the whole were pretty fresh, too. The tomato was a little on the pink side, making it less flavorful than I like to see, but that may be just an effect of the season. I didn’t try the coffee or tea, as I already had a beverage, but the coffee and tea selections looked quite extensive. I noticed that lots of people went with the iced coffee. It’s nice that they have organic coffee and tea options here. If I were to come back(a big if, given the slow service), I’d probably try some of the beverages out.

Bagel sandwiches and lattes are so good. The only place I know that has lavender syrup which is my favorite to add to London fogs and lattes! Very good vegetarian and vegan options as well!

The coffee was decent, but the staff and service were horrible. I went in to order a quick cup of coffee to go after lunch. There was no line and there were two people working behind the counter who clearly couldn’t be bothered to help me. I had to stand at the register and wait for a break in their conversation to order. After waiting for over minute I ordered a small coffee. I don’t think the person working the register ever even acknowledged me, just rang it up and set a cup on the counter and kept talking to their coworker. I really felt unwelcome. Thank goodness I didn’t ask for anything that actually required any work on their part! I don’t expect to have an in-depth discussion every time I order coffee, but a generic greeting and at least looking at me are among my general expectations. The coffee was decent, but I won’t be back.

I like this place. Good coffee, always a good crowd(mostly trending toward younger end, but some variety). Also, since the Beanery put harsh caps on their internet, and removed all the power outlets, this is one of only a couple of decent options, although I had some issues with the net just dying every few minutes when I was there, may have just been a bad net day, not sure.

This place is so cute. Their Mac and Cheese is so good, and it’s super classy. So what isn’t to love? Also their bagels are incredible.

We only wound up eating here because everything else around was closed for the holiday. It was really quiet, with only two other tables occupied. I was sooooo hungry by the time we sat down. And then I waited. And waited. The person at the counter was pretty nonplussed and not at all apologetic about the wait. She had time to have a loud conversation with her co-worker about dolphins which everyone in the restaurant had to be privy to(«They’re not as nice as you think they are!») and then to take a hundred artsy pictures of the table outside. We inquired about the food after a to-go ordered placed like 15 minutes after we ordered was filled. We were reassured it was«coming right out!» without any care to the fact that it was so delayed. Finally, 30 minutes after ordering, the food came out. It was decent, which is what saved this place from a 1 star review. The«soysage» was delicious. The sourdough bread was good, although I had to go up to request jam. The tofu was seasoned well, but lukewarm, perhaps from waiting so very long to be served. Really, with better service this place would have done much better.

It’s painful to give a one star review to a vegetarian spot and a place I fondly remember from my Oregon State days. But it is completely unacceptable to be treated rudely by the staff, lied to, and to wait almost half an hour for your food. The short version of the story is we ordered breakfast on Saturday morning at about 930. After 27 minutes and no food, I was about to go check what was taking so long when I saw the to go breakfast order placed AFTER us be handed over to the departing customer. When I asked how much longer they expected our food to take, I was lied to and told«sorry, yours was the first prepared breakfast order this morning.» WRONG. A) you’ve been open over 90 minutes, so I find that unlikely anyway, but B) you JUST handed over a breakfast you HADJUSTMADE to the woman who had ordered AFTER us. You blatantly lied to me, and served someone ahead of me who ordered food after me. The longer version of the story adds the following useful information: 1. I ate or drank coffee here regularly on a weekly basis at OSU between about 2002 – 2010, plus yearly visits after. Over those years, the service was always good, friendly, and prepared reasonably quickly. Interzone has fallen FAR from its days as the go to vegetarian neighborhood coffee shop. Now you’re slow, pretentious(without anything to be pretentious about), and effing rude. 2. You were rude to my partner. Before I came into the shop, she asked at the counter before ordering breakfast if we should order at the counter or the table(she had never been here before). You said to her«umm, we’re not a restaurant.» The polite thing to say would have been: you can place your order at the register. 3. Again, you took 27 minutes to make breakfast on a Saturday morning in part because you served others who had placed order after us their breakfast first. This is unacceptable. Worse, you lied to my face and said 90 minutes into your opening that I was the first person to order breakfast. We saw others before and after us order breakfast. We saw ALL of them get their food before us.

Just delicious coffee without all the fluff. I always get a brewed cup and it is always better at Interzone than the competition down the street. Earthy atmosphere is pleasant. Not a bunch of loud pop music. Nice selection of food. Staff is always welcoming.

In a town saturated with Dutch bros, this is definitely one of the only«other» coffee shops in town. They have a real alternative feel inside and a quirky atmosphere. The espresso is delicious. The one con I have about them is the staff is not always welcoming and if you aren’t grungy or hippy you feel pretty awkward going in here

This is a lovely place to eat or hang out. It has a strong hippy vibe, the staff are very friendly and the food is delicious. Breakfast is served all day until 5 pm. I think that their avocado egg sandwich is my favorite, but I’ve also enjoyed the fresh muffins and coffee cake that they often have lying out on the counter. I would highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a breakfast, a snack, or just a hip place to hang out.

This is a great alternative coffee shop right next to campus with a nice assortment of beverages and food items. The staff is always super friendly and I really like that they have several alternatives for dairy products. I much prefer this to the chain places that are also on Monroe.

One of the best breakfast bagels I’ve ever had, don’t remember what it was called but it had these amazing portabello mushrooms.

The cardamon latte is as good as it gets! The owners are wonderful and they are very supportive of local artists and musicians. The food is always changing but there is always a tasty option for us. I usually end up coming home with a hand drawn card for a friend or a t-shirt for myself and I always enjoy seeing artwork by local artists on display. This is a community coffee house and not a corporate place — gotta love it.

Typical bohemian coffee shop. What would college be without a place to conspicuously read Marx and smoke rollies?

When I stepped in the door I honestly thought I was in Eugene! There were a lot of hippies there. But, overall the service was great and the atmosphere was comfortable. I hung out for an hour and I was not treated rudely by staff for«overstaying my welcome» or anything like that. And the coffee was really good, I got a cardamom honey latte that was yummy! Also I ordered the pesto veggie omelette and I licked my plate! I ate every single crumb! It wasn’t as strong pesto-y as I initially imagined, it was more subtle, but they pulled it off– it was delicious!
